Windgale padded carefully, but clumsily tripped over a rock in her path. She yelped as her paws slid from under her and she went sliding down the steep decline...

Rippedtail lunged forward. She grabbed Windgale's scruff and pulled her back to her paws. She checked her tail again. The stripe was harder to see then before. "The light's going away," she meowed. "When we were in the hole, I could see my tail stripe, but now its going away!"

"We have no other choice but to head this way. Pray to Starclan there is a opening at least to let light in." Treestar mewed silently. Though he had to thank the darkness for one thing; the leader was limping again, and the darkness hid this from the other cats. "I'd rather die in the light then in this darkness!" So then I know Moonrise can look down upon my final resting place. Treestar's mind added once he stepped over the stone Windgale had tripped over.

Rippedtail sighed and let her leader pass. She passed him to save Windgale, but he needed to lead them now.
ooc: I think the entire active Earthclan warriors, except Dewpelt, are here. What happens if the camp is attacked?

OOC: I guess that makes me the forth highest poster...
IC: Forestfur stepped up closer to Treestar. "Treestar, you don't think that this goes on forever, do you? I mean, I'm worried for Flashpaw..." he thought back to the last time he saw Leaffur. He had promised to keep his son safe while the Leaffur and Songpaw went on a journey.
Flashpaw was worried too. Would he ever see a mouse that he could kill again?

Windgale listened quietly.
She spoke up. "I could go on ahead. That way, if something bad happens, you and your son, as well as Rippedtail and Treestar would be okay. It's not like I have anyone waiting for me. Flashpaw deserves to see another day of sunlight. I'm more than willing to go."

ooc: How about the only thing they can see in the tunnel is Rippedtail pure white stripe, because if your in the dark you can see white but nothing else... That can be like an indicator of light level... and a way to keep track of the young warrior...
Rippedtail glanced at her tail. Still visible, but not very. "What if Flashpaw walked beside me?" she meowed. "You can keep track of him by my tail."

The fur on Treestar's spine began to rise as they all turned to him for an answer. "Flashpaw, do you mind staying next to Rippedtail? She is a good warrior and will keep you safe." The long haired tabby tom then turned to look at what he thought might be where Windgale was. His voice became more serious as he spoke to her, "Every cat has a purpose in this clan, and I will stay in front so you all can escape. You are a fine warrior, Windgale, and I don't want to loose you. Any of you."
