"Let all cats old enough to catch prey gather here around the flat rock." The dark flame coloured leader called out across the camp. It was sunset, and it made his pelt shine with a tint of orange. Burningstar waited patiently and proudly on the Flat Rock as his clan assembled around him.
It was finally time for FireClan to recieve their new medicine cat.

Darkpaw padded toward Flat Rock. She was finally going to be a medicine cat! If only Spottednose could be here... Still she would go alone to Moonstone to fully receive her name.

IC: As the FireClan cats settled down for the ceremony, Burningstar smiled to Darkpaw as she padded to the Flat Rock. He felt excited like an apprentice himself because this was the first time as leader would he approve of a medicine cat that has recieved training from a med cat not belonging to FireClan. it was something special. He saw the happiness in Darkpaw's eyes as well, and reflecting it, he showed pride in his bright amber orbs.
There was one problem though. Burningstar could not give Darkpaw her medicine cat name. Only Spottednose could do that. He hoped that the EarthClan medicine cat would come for her apprentice's ceremony. He already approved with all the patrols to bring Spottednose to the camp if they spotted her. He waited for a while more as the sun started setting, then he stood and started.
"Cats of FireClan. We are finally ready to recieve Darkpaw as a full medicine cat under the approval of StarClan..." he looked up as the stars of Silverpelt started to show... He hoped that Spottednose would come soon...

Weaving herself through the bushes and brambles, she was almost there. In Fireclan camp. The FireClan patrol had arrived to EarthClan camp a few days ago inviting her to attend Darkpaw's ceremony, and there she was, attending her first medicine ceremony. Her thoughts wondered off to the first training session with Darkpaw. Just a while ago, she has just an energetic apprentice; willing to learn and expand her knowledge. Now, she was going to be a full grown medicine cat, who will one day, pass on her knowledge to another apprentice. Grinning to herself, she led her paws towards FireClan camp, just in time to hear Firestar's speech.

"Spottednose!" Burningstar smiled warmly as the EarthClan she-cat entered camp, just in time for the ceremony. "Welcome. I'm glad you made it here." He nodded to the medicine cat respectfully, and watched for Darkpaw's reaction to this pleasant surprise.

Padding towards the Flat Rock, she could feel herself burning from the angry glares by some cats, knowing that she shouldn't but into another clan's business. However, she dismissed their thoughts and carried on walking until her paws reached Darkpaw. Nodding her head to acknowledge Burningstar, did she then reply to Darkpaw, "Of course I'm here. After all, I am your mentor." She smiled proudly, wide enough that her cheeks were starting to ache.

Burningstar grinned. "well lets get this ceremony started; it's been waiting for long enough." he whispered to the two she-cat, winking with a friendly shine in his bright amber eyes.
"Cats of FireClan. We welcome Spottednose of EarthClan today for training Darkpaw. In the past few moons, Darkpaw has gained the knowledge of a true medicine cat, even without a mentor from her own clan. And now she is ready to be accepted into the clan as a full fledged medicine cat, by StarClan." He firey tom nodded to Spottednose for her to step forward to proceed with the naming, for only the medicine cat's mentor can name her apprentice.

Smiling again from side to side, she stepped forward along with Darkpaw and she could feel all eyes on her again. Clearing her throat, she then started the naming for Darkpaw. "I, medicine cat of *cough* EarthClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a true medicine cat." Turning away from the audience to Darkpaw, she continued, "Darkpaw, do you promise to uphold the medicine cat code and to heal your clan even at the cost of your life?"

Something inside Darkpaw stiffened. She became serious, not a fun-loving apprentice like before. "I do," she nodded her head to Spottednose, thanking her for her training.

Littleflower stumbled into camp, dirty and limping. Her body was shaking from exhaustion as she looked around and nothing bad had happened yet. She heard a frightened gasp, it came from Gingerleaf. Gingerleaf ran to Littleflower, "You Poor dear!" she explained as she took a better look at her medicine cat. "Burningstar!" she yowled out as loud as she could, the cat needed help.
"I-I was lost.....and I ...." suddenly the eyes rolled to the back of her head, her small body collapsed onto the icy ground beneath her.
"Burningstar!" Gingerleaf called out louder than before,"Help me!" her voice was filled with worry.

"Littleflower?!" Burningstar jumped down from the flat rock and bounded to Gingerleaf and the fallen, long lost medicine cat. "What happened?" then he quickly shook his head; he could worry about that later, then called Darkpaw, who had not yet gotten her medicine cat name yet. this was going to be a problem... suddenly Littleflower came back, but in the middle of the ceremony... "Darkpaw!" he yowled. "Spottednose!"

Just as she was going to carry on with her words, Spottednose whipped her head around towards the commotion. What in StarClan could this be all about? She was shocked as LIttleflower had callopsed in the middle of camp. What shocked her was LIttleflower's sudden arrival upon the camp, especially in time for Darkpaw's ceremony. Jumping down the flat rock, she quickly padded to the exhausted body. "Quickly," she meowed, "bring her to the den." Just as she finished, two warriors suddenly stepped out from the crowd to carry her. Turning around to Darkpaw for the first time between her last words to Littleflower, she had no time to see what Darkpaw was feeling. She had a cat to heal first. She signaled her tail for Darkpaw to step down and follow her in the den for Littleflower's treatment.

Gingerleaf watched as Littleflower's small gray body was taken into the medicine cat den. Gingerleaf quickly turned her head to Burningstar and mewed, "I was getting a vole to bring back to the nursery and I saw a cat come in. I then reconized it as Littleflower I ran to her, she mumbled something about getting lost, and finding something. And then she just collapsed!" her tone was worried and rushed,saying everything she thought should be said. "I didn't know what to do!"

Darkpaw snapped out of her trance. After a few months she finally saw her old mentor again. "Coming," she called to Spottednose, and ran over to the den.

As Littleflower was settled and with Darkpaw just behind her, she mumbled, "Alright." Then, turning to Darkpaw, with a serious tone, she meowed, "Darkpaw, I am now giving you the opportunity to heal a cat for your very first time. I know that you might feel nervous at first, but don't be. I'm sure you'll do fine if you just follow everything that I've taught you. Are you in for this?"

Darkpaw nodded. She bent over Littleflower. Someone get me some fresh-kill!" Darkpaw yelled to any warrior who could here her.

Gingerleaf nodded hearing Darkpaw's request. She ran over to the fresh kill pile, picked up a medium sized vole and rushed back it dangling in her mouth. "This good?" she asked fear in her tone as she spoke. She moved her sight over to the small gray and white cat she considered her sister.

Spottednose took a step back for Darkpaw to do her roles. Seeing that Darkpaw was already on the lead; calling with leadership of a medicine cat, she smiled ever so slightly. But as Darkpaw called on for the vole, she gently flicked her tail over Darkpaw's mane and whispered to her caringly, "Don't forget to give her some water to hydrate her as she had just fainted. Then is she able to wake up and eat."

Gingerleaf's eyes clouded with happiness and sorrow as she saw the bond between Spottednose and Darkpaw. She was filled with joy to see how well Darkpaw was doing, but sorrow to know that above all Littleflower wanted an apprentice, but she would never have one to train. Of course she would have Darkpaw, but she was trained by Spottednose. Shaking that thought out of her head she looked at Littleflower, "I wonder what happen" she mewed softly to the cats in the den.
