Snowfoot sat by the waters edge staring down at his reflection. Fish swam along just below the surface, he sighed and glared at his stumpy tail, twitching patheticly. His gaze returned to the rippling reflection, resting on the surface. He ran his tongue over his nose as he studied his tortoiseshell face. he twitched his ear and locked on to a fish. His white paw datred out into the shimmering waters and hooked out a fish, it slapped onto the ground and flapped helplessly in the dirt. "Stay still you stupid fish!" he growled pressing down on it with his paw. It's slimy scales slipped out of Snowfoot's grasp and it mad one last flop into waters and dissapeared. Snowfoot stared at where it had been and spat.

Lakeripple was stretching in the sun, warming her swollen belly, when she heard Snowfoot growl at a fish. Delecately stepping up, she walked towards the sound. "Hello Snowfoot," she mewed, licking her lips. "Fish get away? That's too bad, do you want help? It's terribly boring being stuck in camp all day..."

Snowfoot look up from the water to see the she-cat approaching. He blinked gratefully and sighed, "Thanks Lakeripple" he murmered "Thanks to this tail i have the hunting abilities of a kit" he growled. "Are you okay to hunt though?" he asked flicking his tortoiseshell ear towards her swollen belly.

Snowfoot let out a little laugh "Very well" he mewed and returned his focus to the water and the fish.

Lakeripple looked down into the water, her whiskers twitching. Then she flashed a paw into the water, scooping out a silvery fish. They made an ark above her head, but landed on her mouth. She quickly took its life.

Snowfoot blinked at Lakeripple "Nice catch" he meowed. Then he he too locked onto one of the flashes of silver. His paw darted in, sending the fish flopping through the air. It shimmered in the weak sunlight and landed on the ground. Snowfoot pounced on it and finished it with his sharp claws. He looked at his fish then realised how tiny it was. "Well, it's still a fish" he mewed to himself.

Honeydew was walking around cuz she was bored she didn't know where Smokepaw was to train him.She walked down to the river.She remembered teaching Smokepaw how to swim.He was so scared.It made her giggle.She then came into the clearing.She then saw lakeripple and Snowfoot going into some fish. "Hey you guys!"She called out to them."Whats up?"

"Nothing much, I was just bored and couldn't find Eagletalon. When I remembered that he was on patrol, I came here and decided to fish with Snowfoot. I haven't had a good fish since the Clan figured out that I am expecting."

Snowfoot just flicked his stumpy tail a murmered a quick greeting, he was too focused on the flashes of silver in the rippling waters. His paw darted in but missed it's target, Snowfoot stumbled forward a litte bit but regained his balance. He gave a sigh of releif, he wouldn't mind falling in but this time of year the waters were freezing and a soaking was something he could do without. Now he fully noticed Honeydew and mewed a proper greeting.

Honeydew sat back and looked at the river."I think everyone guessed Lakeripple." Honeydew just sighed.It was really boring without smokepaw.

Emereld eyes flicked back and forth from both cats. A young she-cat bunched up in a low branch. Her blue-silver fur nice and thick for winter. The apprentice looked at each cat. One was Snowfoot...the other....Lakeripple. Her Target was going to be one of them. After a heartbeat, the she-cat's back legs bunched up, then pushed strongly against the snow covered branch. A large playful grin crawled across the she-cat's face, as she called out with joy. The branch was left to wiggle slightly, and be free of its loose snow and ice. "BANZAI!!!!" Pondpaw howled playfully, as her apprentice body slammed into Snowfoot. That was Pondpaw's thing. The young she-cat was very bubbly, and always liked to jump out of trees, and land next to, or on some other cat. Giggling, Pondpaw rolled off of the warrior, and stuck her paws in the air, with her back in the deep snow. The young apprentice was almost hidden in its depths. "I got you, didn't I!?" The slim silver-blue she-cat purred, her emerald eyes sparkling with glee.

Snowfoot was caught completely off gaurd by the apprentice and fell head first into the river with a screech. He resurfaced and kicked strongly, he flopped onto the bank and lifted his tortoiseshell face out of the snow. He stood up shaking his sodden fur and glanced over to Pondpaw. He saw her rolling playfully in the snow and chuckled, "Yeah you got me" he meowed. He padded over to her and cuffed her playfully over the ear and flicked snow up into her face. "You should be careful Pondpaw, I almost thought you were a rogue" he mewed as he dropped into a mock battle stance. He didn't know why, but it seemed he got on well with kits and apprentices. They always semmed so happy and playfull.

"I didn't mean to get you all wet! And plus, what rouge could be this small and cute, see?" Pondpaw purred the last part playfully. She tucked her paws in, folded her ears back slightly, curled her long tail around her small silver-blue body, thingyed her head a bit to the right, and let her eyes get big and pleading. But then, a grin broke out, and the apprentice lunged forward with her slim body, and rapped her arms around the warriors head. Her small jaws clamped playfully over his left ear.

Honeydew was completely staring at Pondpaws entrance.She was a handful at times. Sometimes to bubbly for her own good. But she had a good heart. Honeydew at times like this wished she could be young again. Honeydew chuckled, then sighed.Still she was very bored with nothing to do.She laid her head down hoping to Starclan the pondpaw wouldn't jump on her.

Snowfoot shook his head trying to dislodge the playful apprentice, but quickly lost his balance without a full tail to keep him steady. He flung Pondpaw off with one last swing as he stumbled and tripped, crashing into the snow laden ground. He looked at his tail as it twitched patheticly, then looked back to Pondpaw hoping he didn't get carried away and threw her too far.

Besides a bit of snow in her ears, Pondpaw was fine. The young she-cat stood up, giggling. She shook a clump snow off of her silver-blue pelt, before turning to Honeydew. The she-cat's emerald eyes turned large and pleading, as she beckoned with her tail for the warrior to join in.
