"You really mean that, don't you?" Windgale meowed with a happy smile. "Thanks Ravenfeather....I-" She shook her head, and padded forward, thankful for his strong form next to her. How....how could she tell him that... that he attracted her? That his rescue had thawed her icy heart and that with every second that passed, she fell even more for him? His eyes reminded her of full moons, with thier light shining through, and his black fur was the sky in which they resided...She mentally sighed, and turned her attention back on her walk. She noticed with a grimace that time seemed to fly when you least wanted it. They were already back at the camp, when all she wanted was to walk endlessly with him, and find out if he loved her, as she was beginning to think she did... Rats..... she thought as they entered the camp....

RAVENFEATHER Of corse I mean it, I never say anything I don't mean. You should know already Windgale, that I'm a cat of very few words. Even if the words sounded harsh, he said them in a gentle way. Ravefeather was curious on what Windgale was going to say next. Even as they padded through the camp entrance, he looked at her expectantly. He hated how their time together was coming to a close, so he was trying to enjoy as much of her company as he could. |

"I know." She meowed simply... She appeared to struggle with herself for a moment, before speaking. "Ravenfeather, I....." She gritted her teeth together, unable to come right out and tell him. She Windgale, a coward? She let out an imperceptible hiss. Her eyes softened again as she looked into the grey depths of his, so like a stormy sky, without all the chaos. Perhaps the best description of them would be the peace before a storm. She forced herself to look away, and settled for a less than satisfactory reply. "Thank you for rescuing me, Ravenfeather...for...for the way you look at me..." She started to add something else, but then she tenderly, but swiftly licked his cheek, and bolted for the medicine cat's den, her feelings whirling around in her head. She was so confused, and so tired of strugging with her emotions! She just wanted to tell him that...that she...she loved him.

RAVENFEATHER Ravenfeather felt that Windgale wanted to say more than 'thank you', and was about to voice it, until she mentioned how he looked at her. For a moment, he felt panic go through him. How did he look at her? Were his feelings that obvious? Sure he wanted her to know, but not so soon. Before he could even say anything, she gave a warm lick to his cheek and dashed off to the medicine cat's den. Ravenfeather stood there for a couple of minutes like a moonstruck rabbit, purring his heart out without even realizing it. Then he quickly snapped out of his daze, and glanced self-conciously around, hoping no cat had seen him. Satisfied that he hadn't been caught, Ravenfeather turned and padded off to round up a border patrol. All the while, his heart was beating as if he had ran around all five of the Clans' territories.OCC: I think that this is a good place to end the thread.  |
