Crowpaw slowed down his walk. Dovepaw was really pretty, he realized. He groaned softly. Why was he thinking that?? He couldn't help it...She was kind and gentle, but also witty, and fiery at times. He admired that in her.. "Yeah, don't worry, I'll get you back to Fireclan safely." He paused. "Were... were you close to..Silentpaw?" he meowed, pretending the answer didn't matter to him, when he found it actually did..

Dovepaw blinked a few times. Really she didn't want to answer - just wanted to turn around and ask why Crowpaw was asking. Dovepaw gave a sigh, and flattened her ears somewhat, I prefer not to talk about it. Sorry. she whispered. Don't take it the wrong way please. Dovepaw added. She kept walking, but slower this time. She had the feeling Crowpaw would just ask another question.

Crowpaw felt hurt, though why he couldn't understand. "Okay." He meowed, pretending to not care. "Do you...Um...can we see each other again sometime? You're the first decent Fireclan cat I've met." He meowed gruffly. "We can be friends, right?"
(Dovepaw falls in love first right? I can't remember =P)

Dovepaw laughed, Well of course we can be friends. she said somewhat teasingly, Why couldn't we be? she added. Dovepaw flicked her ear at a thought, Do you think Cedarpaw and Hollypaw would mind being friends? remembering how aggressive Cedarpaw was.

Crowpaw shook his head. "I doubt it. Besides.... we are allied after all. They can't really object, and Cedarpaw's my brother... He'll support our friendship. He has to." Crowpaw meowed stubbornly. "You've seen Hollypaw- she's one of the nicest cats in Waterclan. I don't think she'd be too angry. So...can...can we meet again sometime? Perhaps I can continue to help you look for Silentpaw." Anything to see her again... he thought.
