Dreampaw couldn't say anything. Her mentor was going to be leader! She could only mouth the words 'Wow'. She'd completely forgotten about talking to Dawnstreak later. A terrible crossed her mind. If Dawnstreak ever found out about Flashpaw she would have to power to kick her out of the clan.
ooc: We should totally do a Romeo and Juliet thing(without the deaths) with Flashpaw and Dreampaw!

Dawnstreak smiled at Galaxyshadow then turned to Dreampaw with an exasperated look. She had a pretty good idea what was going on with her apprentice... and she knew from personal experience that love across Clans never worked out. But she would never hold that against Dreampaw. She had to trust that the young she-cat would do the right thing.
OOC: he he he... Charrie against charrie... *tries to unleash Flashpaw but it doesn't work* That lazy lump...

Dreampaw shrank away from Dawnstreak's gaze. She seemed to already know. But how? the calico cat asked herself.

Rolling her eyes, Dawnstreak mouthed to Dreampaw, I'm not blind. She sighed and shook her head. I know what it feels like to be drawn across borders, she mouthed.

Rosefeather nipped Dawnstreak on the neck, hissing at the younger cat. "You mouse-brained fool! If you want to lead this Clan, you must leave personal issues for later! I can teach you everything Wolfstar taught me, but you must take it into practice! Now,go walk among them, let them see you aren't different now. You're still Dawnstreak. And until you recieve your name and lives, thats all you'll be. Understand!?!" She couldn't help but be harsh. If her hard work keeping the Clan together for the last few moons was going to be passed on to another cat, that cat had to prove they could do better. Nothing less.

Rolling her eyes slightly at Rosefeather's harshness - for it was obvious the reason - she did as the older she-cat said and walked among the Clan, never lingering long at one cat. When she drew close to Dreampaw, she flicked the young cat's ear with her tail. Then she continued on, rubbing against some and murmuring quietly to others.

Dreampaw flinched again. She walked toward the apprentice den. She was very tired and wanted to sleep. She had to train tomorrow.

Rosefeather sighed, backing away to return to the warriors den. The sight of her goal disappeared once more beyond the horizon. She wasn't sure why she couldn't be leader, Whitemoon hadn't taken the time to explain. She slumped into her nest, jumping at the feel of newly-lined moss. She hadn't asked anyone to change it... Rosefeather caught Winterpaw's youthful gaze. Winterpaw dipped her head, and Rosefeather flicked her ear. How sweet of her. She'll make a fine Medicine Cat. Grinning to herself, she set her head on her paws, allowing Dawnstreak's flittering figure to be the last thing she knew she saw before releasing herself into the dream world, the only place, it seemed, she would ever have her way.

Galaxyshadow's eyes remained fixed on Dawnstreak, as she mingled with her clan mates, murmuring words to some, and sharing tongues with others. He felt no inclination to move; just watching her was enough for him. He didn't even notice when Rosefeather slipped away or the discouragement on her face...

Pulling herself to her paws Kurapelt bound toward the future Skyclan leader, her eyes bright.
"Hello Dawnstreak, my name is Kurapelt and I am a former rougue. I wish to join your clan" she meowed.
Bluecloud watched with cold eyes, a rougue joining the clan. His lips pulled back in a sneer, as if she were up to it.

Compelled to help explain--after all, Kurapelt had been with them for quite a time now--Echostep nodded to Dawnstreak.
"Er, Kurapelt here has actually been around for a while." The tri-color tabby said awkwardly, "She arrived just before our very first skirmish with FireClan, and helped us in the battle. With the chaos these past moons, she hasn't been able to speak with anyone about it." Echostep glanced at the eager she-cat, flicking her tail anxiously--how could she be so bubbly and bright in the face of such judgment?

Winterpaw tore away from Rosefeather's sleeping figure. The poor hard-working deputy had come so close to her dream, and now Dawnstreak was taking it. Discarding the thought, she smiled at Smallkit. "We'll go congradulate Dawnstreak, then you can come sleep with me in the Medicine Den!"

Galaxyshadow was startled out of his trance. "Err...What?" He meowed, turning to Winterpaw, his face flushed with embarrassment. "Err... nothing was just thinking about how well Dawnstreak will be as a leader!" He stuttered caught off guard...
