Sunstorm looked up, surprised. "That's odd. Brightstone's a dedicated mentor- he's probably busy with the whole alliance thing and the problem of Fireclan..." Sunstorm studied the apprentice. He hated to see any cat down, and Fuzepaw looked old enough that he should have been made a warrior. There was no doubt that he'd worked hard at his apprenticeship.. An idea came to him... "Hmm. Well.. uh.. I could help if you'd like. I'm no substitute for a real mentor, but.. perhaps I can help teach you? Until Brightstone has enough time to train you?" He offered.

Fuzepaw shrugs. "Yea . . . i guess . . ." he mumbles Thats what every one says. Its only because he doesnt think i can make it . . . he thinks bitterly Fuzepaw was then shocked when Sunstorm offered to "mentor" him for a little bit. "Uh . . . sure?" He didnt want to seem rude. "But can we . . . go someplace . . . else?" There were many things that would confuse him here. Plus . . . trip over . . .

Sunstorm smiled and nodded. "Sure! You'll have to forgive me if my teaching is off, I've never mentored any cat before. Where would you like to go? I'll follow you." the golden tom meowed, all thoughts of Fernfur fading away for the moment, to be replaced with a kind of excitement and desire to do the best he could to teach Fuzepaw....

Fuzepaw grew hot under his pelt. "Er . . .your the sub-mentor. You choose!" he says caustiously No way! Dont let the blind cat lead! he begs in his mind

Sunstorm grinned. "Sub-mentor, huh? Haha! Well then..." He scanned around the tree and spotted a grassy section of land not far from the tree. "Let's go this way," He meowed. "No tree roots for us to trip over if we forget while battle training or something. That's painful." he meowed, remembering a time from his own apprenticeship where he'd tripped and tumbled over those snarly tree roots..

Fuzepaw nods, knowing that feeling . . . every stinken day! He sighs and follows after Sunstorm. He left his jaws parted slightly so he wouldnt run into anything or trip. He tired to make sure to take Sunstorms path so it would be easier on him.

Sunstorm stopped, the grass soft under his paws and smooth- there were hardly anything to trip over, except a couple of bothersome rocks. "Well, what have you learned with Brightstone? That way we can skip to what you haven't learned, unless you feel you need to brush up any skills." He meowed.

Fuzepaw thought for a little bit. "Um . . . i learned, sortof, the hunters crouch. I can only dodge an attack . . . thats it. Thats all he really taught me . . ." he meows flatly

Sunstorm winced inwardly. No wonder Fuzepaw was so frustrated! He resolved to teach Fuzepaw everything he could. No use worrying about the past now- it wouldn't help. "Okay, that's fine. Let's concentrate on battle training for a bit then, if that's alright with you." The golden tom meowed, his mind racing through all the battle moves he'd been taught and a few of his own. "Attack me. I want to see your style of attack, whether it be speed, agility, strength or cunning."

Fuzepaw stood there silently. Attack?! How can i attack something that i cant see?! He shook his head frustrated, then went down into a crouch. His ears strained forward, his jaws parted. He then slid back into the tall grass, letting his fur blend in with it. He made no noise as his paws slid agaisnt the ground. My best bet is to snick up on him! he thinks bitterly

(Poor Fuzepaw! Sunstorm's making training hard for him, though he doesn't know it... Wolfstorm: *hugs Fuzepaw and purrs* lol)
For some reason, Sunstorm felt like he should be moving, so he padded in a circle. (he's making noise now!) His eyes scanned for Fuzepaw, but the apprentice was nowhere to be seen. A small smile played at Sunstorm's lips. Good- Fuzepaw was using his wits, most likely the element of surprise, and sneaking up on him....
(Hey, should Wolfstorm and Fuzepaw meet? Maybe Toxicfang ^^ takes her with her when she goes to talk to her brother and Nightpaw?)

IC: Fuzepaw could hear Sunstorm pacing around. Thats not good for you to do, Sunstorm! A smile went over his muzzle, as he stopped in wait. He knew Sunstorm couldnt see him, and Sunstorm wouldnt be able to tell were he was. He crouched down, tasting the air. His ears strained to hear to perfection.

(you please! That way Wolfstorm can ask if she can go with her ^^ *dances with glee* Wolfstorm: *bounces around the camp in a hyper fashion, so overjoyed is she lol)
Sunstorm's eyes roved across the landscape, looking for any hint of Fuzepaw. The apprentice was well hidden- he had to commend Fuzepaw for such a good job of stealth. Not many cats could hide like he could and become nearly invisible. He waited for the move he knew was coming, but didn't know where...

Not yet . . . not yet . . . not yet . . . He closed his eyes, knowing it wouldnt make a difference if they were opened or closed. Stealth. Im stealthy. I can do this . . . NOW! He judged the distance perfectly, he hoped. He sprang at Sunstorm from the side, claws sheathed of course. His aim, to ram hard into Sunstorms sides, knocking him over.

Sunstorm's breath was knocked clear out of him as Fuzepaw materialized from nowhere, slamming into his side. He landed with a thud on the ground, wincing. "Good move, Fuzepaw..." He meowed, groaning as he got to his paws. "I never even saw that coming!"

Fuzepaw just nodded slightly. He took a few steps back so Sunstorm couldnt catch him by surprise. "My sister. She always told me my best strength was stealth. It was very hard for her to find me before i made a blow." He shrugs slightly, still his body was tense. "I can blend well and bairly make a noise. Great a trickery . . ." he adds in

OOC: oops . . . dang! >.<; sorry! im trying to get use to righting Toxicfang now! lol
Fuzepaws eyes widened in shock. "Dead?! No! Toxicpaw isnt dead!" he promises He shook his head, sighing. "Shes in Waterclan. I . . . left her there. Cause of how that clan treated me. I couldnt take it any longer, so i told her i was leaving. Shes my older sister and she was heart-broken when i told her. But i had to leave . . ." He was glad for one thing with his blindness. He didnt have to see the heart-broken look of his sister . . .
