Sunstorm looked relieved. "Oh, good. ....Why did you have to leave?" That stumped him; Fuzepaw was a great apprentice- they had lost a great warrior in the making-what had driven Fuzepaw from Waterclan?

Fuzepaw sighs, letting out an irritated sigh. "They scent me to the Elders den." He hissed slightly, remembering the clan leaders words.
"A blind cat?" The leader snorted in disbelief. "You wont get far off! You are Fuzepaw, and will remain Fuzepaw!" The leader stared Fuzepaw down with cold eyes. "The Elders den! Thats were you belong!" Fuzepaws eyes watered up. "No! Please! I can do gr---" "Silence! The Elders den! Thats were you shall stay!" The leader then walked away, and he could hear Toxicpaw crying.
*sigh* "Its not that bad. It could have been worse." His voice was a soft mumble.

Sunstorm stared. The elder's den??? He was completely lost. Why would they send a talented apprentice like Fuzepaw to the elder's den. "Why would they do that? I mean, waterclan cats have always been slightly crazy on account that they like water, but... this is insane. Have they lost thier minds completely??"

Fuzepaw let out a bitter laugh. "No. Its because they didnt think i was good enough, fit enough, to find for them. Toxicpaw was so upset, and tried to make me happy. I was scent becuase," Fuzepaw couldnt stop the words from coming, "im a blind cat. Thats why." His hiss was soft, anger swelling deep within his heart.

"What kind of re- you're blind?" He meowed, stunned. "I-I didn't know- you do so well...But still! That's no excuse!" He meowed getting over his shock, anger replacing it. "Runningstripe's blind, yet he's a warrior! Do they send all thier cats to the elder's because of something beyond thier control?" He fumed silently. No wonder Fuzepaw was angry and down at times- he'd been given no chance to prove himself and been torn away from his sister...

Fuzepaw shrugged, trying not to show his feelings. "Well, theres a new leader now, but i dont want to go back. I think im doing better here, even though i miss my sister greatly." Fuzepaw had a far, glassy look in his eyes. "The thing that hurts the most, is knowing i wont ever get to see her again. I use to not be blind. Wasnt born blind." The numbers were still branded across his face, somewhat, and cheek. Toxicpaw was branded on her chest. *sigh* "Maybe if i hadnt moved so much, i wouldnt be blind now."

Sunstorm's heart broke for the young tom. To be robbed of your sight? and that scar..... He resolved to ask Runningstripe how he'd been trained, so that he could better train Fuzepaw. He'd help him become a warrior if that was the last thing he could do, since he couldn't restore the tom's sight, though he wished he could. "I'm so sorry Fuzepaw.... I...I..." He fell silent, only to speak up after a few minutes, voice husky. "Fuzepaw, I will do all that I can to help you become a warrior, the best one you can be. You have my promise..."

Fuzepaw just nodded. "Thanks, Sunstorm. That really means a lot to me." He smiled weakly at the tom, yet it had felt good to tell another cat. His fur puffed lightly from the wind, then settled back down. "Im glad i got to tell someone else. The burden of holding that in . . . it hurts a lot. It somewhat still does." But he knew Toxicpaw had a greater burden. To think it was all her fault that all their other siblings died. *sigh*

Sunstorm smiled gently. "LightningClan's your clan now, and we're not like Waterclan- you deserve the chance to become a warrior and you shouldn't have to hide your blindness because of the narrow views of other cats..I means alot to me that you'd tell me this, in light of all that's happened to you.....So.. is your sister a warrior yet?"

Fuzepaw shook his head. "I dont know." But she has something BIG to tell me tonight. Could it be that? "But i hope she has. Itll be great to know that shes doing well." He smiled at the thought of his stubborn, motherly, energetic sister. "Toxicpaw is her name."

Sunstorm grinned. "Oh, THAT Toxicpaw. You mean the energetic one, the one who has a silver shadow at times? I've seen her a few times at the gatherings. Maybe you'll get to go to the next gathering and see her." He smiled, not knowing of Fuzepaw and Toxicpaw's getting together outside of the gathering. "Hm, but I'm sure you want to show her how much you've learned right?" he meowed teasingly..

Are there any cats who dont know Toxicpaw? Fuzepaw sighs, shaking his head. "Apparently many cats know my sister. Shes know to . . . be very outspoken . . ." he mumbles There were complete opposites, yet got along so well. He was glad they got to meet more then just the gatherings, even if it was breaking the warrior code. "And im good! Besides, sometimes she'll some me some moves!" He puffed out his chest.

Fuzepaw nods. "Yea, but she acts motherly a lot. So when she does a move on you, she kinda mothers you. Its as if shes worried she did it too hard or something." He shakes his head, trying to clear some thoughts away. "She worries too much about others but never herself." *sighs*

Fuzepaw shook his head, a little frustrated. "No, you dont get it. Shes been like that sense a little after 4 or 5 moons! Shes never gotten much of a choice to act "normal" in other terms. Always caring for others, she doesnt notice that shes hurting herself sometimes. I dont think any cat should have gone through, and still is, something like that at a young age." His fur puffed up a little to block some of the chilly wind out.
