Helping an apprentice(Shining and Wolfy)

Froststar frowned. The Tribe alone was causing enough trouble, now twolegs were moving in. "Take us there." She meowed, her blue eyes hardened. Tail moving side to side, Froststar's claws sank into the ground, ready for action.

Cedarpaw dipped his head and spun around, letting his paws carry him rapidly back to Ripplestream and the two leg object...

"Here it is." He meowed, "Ripplestream's over there, where the two leg.... what was it again Ripplestream?" He called.

Ripplestream looked up from examining the two-leg thing. While Cedarpaw was gone, the steel-gray warrior had dug up more of the ruby thing. It was now settled between two large leaves Ripplestream used to pull it from the water. He nodded to the two higher cats in respect before narrowing his eyes to the...whatever it was. "I'm not sure." He meowed uncertainly. "I was hoping one of the more experienced warriors could tell us." He backed away, a sudden thought in his mind. "We should probably get the rest of the prey we caught away from the fish, in case this thing contaminated the water."

Froststar stared at it for a long time, occasionally tipping her head to one side. Finally sighing, she meowed, "I haven't a clue."

(It's a bottle supposedly, right Shining? a broken glass bottle?)

Cedarpaw sat down and studied the object. It was really quite pretty; the sunlight shone through it, and cast a red light upon the ground behind it. Many of it's shards still lay in the water, though Ripplestream had been careful to get all the large fragments out. He was still unconvinced as to how it could be dangerous, but that was to be expected- he was an apprentice. He wondered what Hollypaw was doing. Had she found anything exciting? He bet she'd worked on her battle skills...

((Yup yup! Broken glass bottle.))

Ripplestream used his teeth to rip one of the leaves in half, then in another half. He now had four pieces of even leaves. "Cedarpaw, help me get the rest of the pieces out." He told the apprentice, pawing two of the leaves over to Cedarpaw. To Froststar, he said, "Perhaps one of the elders know?"

Cedarpaw picked up the leaves in his teeth and waded into the water. He gingerly picked up each piece- they looked sharp and he really didn't want to cut himself on them. He'd stepped on a sharp fragment of a rock before and it had hurt terribly. He picked up several of the pieces, and dropped them carefully with the larger pieces. Yes... the elders knew alot and thier stories! Cedarpaw smiled as he remembered. They always had such wonderful tales to tell..

Froststar shook her head. "I don't think it's that serious." Tilting her head to one side, Froststar crouch lower, coming closer to the object. With the curiousity of a kit and the sense of a rock, Froststar licked a shard. Tasting only dirt, she laughed, "The only threat from this is getting cut. Keep pulling it out, we'll take all the pieces to the edge of our territory."

Cedarpaw's ears flicked forward. "That's good! Haha, I didn't think it was to serious, but its nice to be sure! Better safe than sorry anyway." He purred, pulling the last of the fragments out of the water. He quickly grabbed some leaves and bundled up as many of the shards as he could, and picked them up...

"Indeed." Froststar laughed. Such a twoleg item had no place here. Not often did any of the Clans find any evidence of twolegs. Was it a sign?

Cedarpaw flicked his tail in a northward direction. "That end of our territory?" he meowed questioningly.

[Rosefeather]

"Any edge, just make sure no one can get hurt." Froststar meowed, hating to think if someone got one of the shards in their paw, it was sure to hurt.

Cedarpaw nodded gingerly, the leaves full of shards now between his jaws. He flicked his tail, as if to say, be right back, and took off.... and returned in a short amount of time, making sure all the shards were gone. "Okay, It's done! I also buried them, so no cat would step on them." He meowed..

[Rosefeather]

"Excellent! Let's return to camp." Froststar stood up. As she turned to walk away, her tail flicked slightly, signalling the others to follow.

Ripplestream hesitated. "Cedarpaw and I were hunting before we discovered the thing." He meowed, looking at the apprentice from the corner of his green eye. "With your permission, could we continue hunting?"

[Rosefeather]

"Of course. We'll need as much prey as we can get." Froststar nodded, the wind picking up, ruffling her fur.

Cedarpaw's eyes widened. "I forgot about that! Oh man, do you think Hollypaw's beaten us already?" He meowed, chagrinned.

Ripplestream turned to Cedarpaw, for a moment ignoring the two higher-powered cats. "No yet." He meowed in answer. "Today's challenge is who can catch the most prey. If we keep hunting like we were before our discovery, we should be able to get far more fresh-kill for the Clan."

Cedarpaw perked up. "Really? Yeah, you're right Ripplestream!" He grinned roguishly. His stopped dead in his tracks at the sound of a mouse, and quickly caught it. "Hey Ripplestream, do you have any siblings?" He meowed, thinking of his brothers and sisters as he quickly buried the mouse..

Ripplestream nodded while flashing a paw into the water and scooping out another fish. "Mistyfire." He said in response, burying it with their quickly growing pile. "She should be on patrol now."
