Training at Dawn (Wolfstorm and Painpaw)

"I heard that!" Wolfstorm meowed, hiding another grin. She knew Painpaw was probably annoyed by the many times she grinned. "I'm curious Painpaw, What would you find interesting?" She asked.

Painpaw stared at the ground still walking, he didn't even feel his paws touching the ground because he was that out of sync with life; Nothing

Wolfstorm was thrown off track. "What? Nothing? Nothing makes you happy? Nothing fills you with awe? You love nothing?" That came as a shock to Wolfstorm, who had always had something dear to her. A cat's face flitted into her mind, Fuzepaw's and she briefly wondered if he had gotten his warrior name yet. "I find that hard to believe," she meowed at last..

Painpaw sighed, I wouldn't say I love nothing...it's like there isn't anything here. he kept his head low. There wasn't anything for him. Not even life...

[wolfwarrior4jesus]

"Why isn't there anything here for you?" Wolfstorm asked, looking confused and feeling a little sad for Painpaw..

Painpaw shrugged, Cause there isn't. There isn't anything special for this life. he mumbled, Boring and Dreary... he thought.

[wolfwarrior4jesus]

Wolfstorm snorted. "Well, you haven't seen much of life yet." She meowed. "Why don't you find anything wonderful about life? Do you stop and take time to think about things, to carefully watch things?" She meowed. "Take a butterfly for instance- it's beautiful and so fragile- yet it survives against impossible odds. Doesn't that invoke feelings in you? Aren't you amazed at the wonder of it all? and that's only the tip of the iceberg here!" She mrrowed with a smile.

Painpaw just stared at Wolfstorm silent. It was as if he was astounded by the information of what Wolfstorm told him and that he was moved. It was like Painpaw could never look at life the same way again!

Instead he just said sarcastically

Amazing..

Wolfstorm gave him a look, but decided to drop the subject for now. "Anyway, patrol. C'mon, let's go this way! It'll take us to the Waterfall Cliff. That's one of my favorite places!" She meowed, eyes lighting up.

Painpaw hung his head, Joy. and followed after Wolfstorm, Why is it you're favorite?

A smile tugged at the corners of Wolfstorm's lips, but she just gave him a mysterious look. "you'll see." She meowed. It was beautiful, and mystical, but, she had also met Fuzepaw close to a waterfall, so it held many memories for her. Not to mention a hiding place she had discovered there, a cave behind the falls!

Painpaw sighed, It will probably be nothing special....not one place in the world is the perfect one.. he thought he just looked at the ground following Wolfstorm.

Why wasn't he happy...

Wolfstorm meowed happily. "Here we are!" She scampered over to the river, where a huge falls roared past the two cats. Wolfstorm always felt so tiny compared to the rushing behemoth, and this time was no different. The spray of fine mist enveloped the two cats, and the light created a splash of rainbows everywhere they looked. The water was cold and crystal clear, yet untouched by man and silver fish wriggled beneath it's blue surface. All around, the vegetation was lush and bright green from the constant watering they recieved. Wolfstorm smiled happily, and flicked her tail for Painpaw to follow before she hurried over to a seemingly impenetrable rock face... She didn't say a word- words were useless in a place like this!

Painpaw blinked, it was pretty here... He looked over at Wolfstorm and rolled his eyes, she seemed overjoyed about being here; why did his mentor have to be like this!!? Oh well.. he told himself and then followed Wolfstorm slowly, he didn't want to fall in the water.

"Watch your step!" She cautioned, seeming to go through the rocks. A few brightly colored salamanders slithered away as the two cats made thier way through....

(lol Painpaw allergic to happy cats? XP)

Painpaw narrowed his eyes No !? You think! he yelled mentally at Wolfstorm but put it aside for now. He sighed and looked after the salamanders...what would one taste like. Painpaw let his mind wander on the subject.

ooc- lol probably. He will get used to her happiness after a while ^^

"Haha, I wouldn't eat them- they taste disgusting." Wolfstorm meowed, noticing Painpaw's glances at the tiny lizards. "Trust me, I ate one of them when I first found this place. Whew! All I could taste for the next few days was salamander." She made a face and then came to a slow stop. The tunnel had widened into a large, roughly circular room, with rock surrounding them- except for one side, which was covered by a curtain of rushing water. The water was so translucent she could see beyond it, to the territory, with only the distortion of the water as it made it's way down. "Well," Wolfstorm meowed, with a little pride. "What do you think? This is my favorite place- my hiding place that I can retreat to when I need time to myself."

Painpaw hung his head, You shouldn't tell others about you're hiding places. That way when you hide, then they can find you. he mumbled. Painpaw looked up, It's okay I guess... he looked at the ceiling of the cave and felt his pelt give a wave of uncomfort, Wouldn't you worry about it caving in?

[wolfwarrior4jesus]

Wolfstorm looked up at the cave ceiling and shook her head. "To be honest, I never thought about that. hm. I don't think it would, but I like this place too much to worry about it. And as for telling you my hiding place? Well, it makes me feel better to come here and watch the water, so maybe, when you're feeling down or whatever, you can come here. At night, you can see the whole of Silverpelt, and the water makes it look like the stars are moving! You should try it." She meowed, wrapping her tail around her paws.

Painpaw frowned, I thought we weren't allowed to leave camp at night...
