Wolfstorm was wide awake. She had gotten an apprentice! She, Wolfstorm, the deaf cat. The silver she cat shook her head in the wonder of it all. She purred quietly, waiting for her new apprentice to meet her for his first day of training. A flutter of anxiety caught in her chest- would she be able to mentor Painpaw well?

Painpaw slowly walked toward where he and Wolfstorm would be meeting. He didn't have much emotion. Sure he made it as an apprentice and got a mentor...
but it wasn't really exciting he thought.

Wolfstorm smiled as Painpaw plodded into the clearing. He didn;t look excited at all, and she wondered why. Most apprentices were exuberant over getting thier apprenticeship. She knew she had! "Good morning Painpaw!" She called out, flicking her tail. "What do you say to some battle training? Or would you prefer to do something else?"

Painpaw stared at Wolfstorm for a second, I don't care. he said with barely any emotion, he really didn't, training was just training...and it wasn't a gloreous morning; it seemed that she was treating it that way though.

(lol yes, he is poor kitty)
Wolfstorm was a ittle surprised at his response, but refused to show it. "Alright then. Battle training it is!" She meowed, getting to her paws. She stretched, enjoying the feel of the loose soil under her paws. Without warning Wolfstorm leapt at the black apprentice, claws sheathed, and, using his own body weight against him, attempted to do a warrior trick where she swiped a paw out from under him that would make him lose his balance and fall to the ground- leaving his neck open for the killing bite (though obivously she's not gonna actually bite him)

Painpaw felt himself crash into the ground he glared at Wolfstorm angerly, he wasn't going to be put down this easily! Painpaw took all the strength he had and rolled into Wolfstorm trying to get to be on top of them.

Wolfstorm was pleased with his reaction- at least it was something! She doubted Painpaw would have reacted or wanted to battle had she not surprised him with an attack. Wolfstorm let the apprentice roll her, but once he was on top of her, she pushed upward with all her might. If she was lucky, he wouldn;t be expecting this move and be flung off-. She flicked her ears.

Painpaw glared at Wolfstorm his claws dug into the ground angerly, What was that for!? he growled but somehow it had no emotion though it was said with anger.

"To get you involved." Wolfstorm meowed. "I wasn't sure you would participate in training of any sorts if I didn;t surprise or anger you into it." She sat down, and licked her paw. "I'm sorry, if I upset you...I'm new at this mentoring thing." She smiled at him. "By the way, why are you so....what's the word for it... apathetic? Even now, though you're angry with me, you're not really showing any emotion of any kind. Smile a bit, laugh more. It's key." She flicked her tail..
(btw... apathetic =Feeling or showing little or no emotion; unresponsive)

Wolfstom said nothing. How could one not feel emotion? It was..a natural reaction to circumstances! She shrugged. Perhaps showing him things that would provoke emotions such as happiness would help... She'd plan on that for later. For now, they were just starting.
"Attack me." she said, looking at the black tom. She wanted to know his style of fighting, and it would help her know what she had to teach him, and what he knew already. Though this was his first day, every cay had a natural way of fighting, and she aimed to find that out and help him refine it...

Painpaw just stared at Wolfstorm for a while. His dark grey eyes not moving from Wolfstorms. He didn't need eye movement to see the rest of the cat. He sighed and then nodded moving towards Wolfstorm.
He lept at her trying to pin her to the ground but was about her head so that Wolfstorm's body was to the grounds and her head was upside down from his. Painpaw tried to keep her down along with keeping his belly down so she couldn't just lift him. But in his head he tried to calculate how she could turn this against him.

(lol it was a little confusing! so.. uh, I'll make it not work cuz I didn't really understand what Painpaw was trying to do ^^; Sorry!)
Wolfstorm grunted as Painpaw landed on her head. She rolled over and jabbed a paw in his face and then boxed his ears (lol)..

ooc- Yeah, its in my head but I can't put it in words, it was basically what Nala (?) did to Simba pinning him down by the shoulders while in the Elephant Bone Yard ^^;;;
Painpaw put his muzzle to the ground trying to ignore the constant jabbing of his ears and then aimed for Wolfstorm's knees hoping to pin her down again

(DID YOU SAY LION KING?  ? ? SQEEE!!!!!!! I LOOOOVE LION KING!!!!!!!!!) Wolfstorm rolled onto her stomach and shoved up with her paws to regain her feet and dislodge Painpaw's attack from her hind legs. She attempted to swipe his feet out from under him (Did I do that already?) (lol sorry if it seems like Wolfstorm is winning, but the apprentice can't win against his mentor the first time lol!) |

Painpaw darted under Wolfstorm trying to doge the swipe but stumbled slightly, he winced as a paw twisted, but to avoid the fast future injury he tried once again; Painpaw took all of his weight pressing it against Wolfstorm's belly pushing her up and away.

Wolfstorm grinned. "Nope." With that, she rolled over, so that Painpaw was under her and she was on top. "Now I am." She smiled and then got off of him. "It's my job as your mentor to see how you fight and then train you to be a better warrior. Of course hunting is an important part, as well as the warrior code and patrolling, but this is jsut our first day." She sat back and began to groom her fur..

Painpaw stood up, Hunting is as the same as fighting...just not as violent. he mumbled. Why can't there just be one type of training? It was basically all the same he added in his mind. Painpaw stared at Wolfstorm as she groomed herself, after a while he just got bored, So what now?
