Sunstorm yawned, revealing sharp pearly whites. He shook his head, trying to clear the sleep that threatened to overcome him. He hadn't been able to sleep last night, for some reason. He shrugged and looked up at the Sun Tree. Unsheathing his claws, he leapt onto it's side, digging his claws into the rough bark. He pulled himself up the tree, finally settling on a branch in the middle, where he could see anything that moved below. A glimmer of amusement lit his eyes and he flicked his tail. Perhaps he'd give one of his clan mates a scare!

Fernfur dandered along past the Sun tree, her mind full of disconcerting thoughts. She stopped beside it, smelling something strange in the air. Another cat? She couldn't see anyone.
"Hello? Is...is someone there?" She looked around again. Nothing. But that scent was very familiar...

Sunstorm grinned and leapt down from the branch, careful not to squash the cat. Instead, he landed right next to the black she cat. "Hi Fernfur!" He meowed, blue eyes shining brightly as he 'came out of nowhere'.

Fernfur jumped, her fur standing on end, then laughed nervously.
"Hi Sunstorm." She meowed. He didn't seem to be acting hostile like all the other cats, so she relaxed. "How are you?" she said awkwardly. (spelling??)

OOC: yay i can spell!! and i'm thinking about the mate thing...it would be cool if one of them could be her best friend and the other one her mate...but i'm not sure. maybe they could both like her at first?
"Well, I was just trying to get away from camp, really. I thought I'd do a bit of hunting." She meowed. "Uh...we could hunt together, if you wanted..." She added as an afterthought.

(There we go, an awesome idea for a plot! Coalheart and Sunstorm's affections for Fernfer drive them apart, but when Fernfur makes her choice, they let go of thier "feud" and become inseparable friends again (the three of them?) lol is that a good idea?)
Sunstorm's heart fluttered. Fernfur was asking him to go hunting with her? He purred happily. "I'd love to!" He meowed. Inside he was estatic. He had always had a crush on Fernfur- maybe she liked him back? He wondered.

(love it that's great!! i really don't mind who her mate is though...coalheart is more like fernfur and he would understand her more, but sunstorm is very different to fernfur, which would be really fun. i think that if she chose coalheart, it would be very romantic, but sunstorm would be a light and happy relationship)
Fernfur was startled by his reaction. Cats usually stayed away from her...but she wasn't complaining! Sunstorm was a very nice cat. "Cool...leat's go, before some cat catches us standing doing nothing." she smiled.

(of course!! And maybe you should choose Coalheart for her mate then, because, like you said, he'd understand her better and they'd have alot more in common~ Those are better traits in a mate I think)
Sunstorm grinned. "What's happening back at camp? I haven't been back there since last night- just finished patrolling." He kept his senses open for any trace of prey..

OOC: okay, coalheart it is. but sunstorm has to stay as her best friend or something.
"Uh...I haven't really noticed anything. I've been a bit...tired recently." Fernfur didn't want to admit how she had really been feeling...rejected, lonely...but being around Sunstorm, who was acting as though he liked her, was beginning to erase those feelings.

Coalheart walked around, he didn't really know what he was doing, just walking around. He felt so empty inside he sighed and then his ear's pricked; talking. Coalheart glanced around until he saw two other cat's talking. Coalheart hung his head; he wasn't expecting to see anyone today. Coalheart returned his gaze back to the other two and padded over Hello He said in a neutral voice. He didn't mind talking to others. His gaze flicked from the she-cat to the tom.

He completely can see through my disguise... Fernfur thought nervously. Something about Coalheart made her tingle...he could see right into her somehow...but he was being friendly? How did that work?
"Okay then...we should get going, I suppose...before all the prey runs away..." Fernfur set off and hoped the other two would follow her instead of making her look like a mousebrain.

Coalheart gave a smile, Fernfur seemed so skiddish. He looked back at Sunstorm, After you he said in an empty voice. His gaze flicked back to Fernfur as she tried to make an escape of some sort and gave silent laughter.

(lol okay! btw, sorry I haven;t been on lately! wow you guys got pretty far! XD)
Sunstorm felt a little disappointed that Coalheart had joined them- he had wanted to spend time with Fernfur, but he pushed the selfish thought away. He grinned at Coalheart's comment. "I think she's trying to prove she's faster than us toms!" He hurried to catch up with Fernfur and Coalheart.
(lol didn't know what else to put D=)

Fernfur flicked her ears in an unconvincing attempt at being carefree. "It's nothing...I'm just not at my best at the moment. Let's hunt..." she trailed off. She was begginning to feel better around these cats who didn't seem to care that she wasn't good at being around others.
