"I'm just..." She was about to fob him of with the old 'I'm tired' excuse, but then she saw his eyes, and was taken offguard by the sensitivity in them. "I'm...lonely." she said. "I...wasn't made...for interacting, and I think that it's begun to take it's toll...everybody seems to assume that I'm just antisocial. And that's not it...I'm just kind of shy..."

Coalheart blinked and looked away, I see.. everybody was shy at times but Fernfur seemed to be shy more then the average cat..
Coalheart turned back to her and smiled, Don't worry about it just be yourself. he suggested, he looked at Sunstorm wondering what he thought...

"Yeah...Hey, I am!!" she grinned. She hadn't grinned like that since she was an apprentice. "Thanks, you guys. I think...you two are cats I could easily be friends with." She suddenly stopped, tasting the air. It was a squirrel. "Shh." She crouched down low to the cold ground beneath her and began to stalk the furry grey creature. As she leapt, it began to run away, but she was fast, and she caught up with it quickly, killing it swiftly.
"There! Now we actually have some prey!" She laughed. It felt strange, laughing with cats who seemed to like her, cats who she...she wanted to be friends with.

Sunstorm grinned back. "Oooh, what a lovely smile- you should do it more often!" He grinned again as Fernfur suddenly crouched and, at lightning speed, caught a squirrel. "Wow... that was fast! Where'd that squirrel come from?" Her laughter was, to him, the most beautiful sound ever...

"No idea. Must like the sound of mousebrained toms!" she joked, flicking him with her tail. Talking to these cats was as easy as breathing! This could become a habit.

"Um..." she thought for a moment. "I'm not all that sure myself. I think...you cats just accept me for who I am...and other cats just seem to think I'm antisocial and horrible. You two...are easy for me to interact with. You're cats I can talk to...without worrying about what you think, because you don't seem to care." She smiled serenely. "I guess you could say you make me happy."

Silversong pushed through bushes with her catch in her mouth. Hearing voices, she paused and turned toward the Sun Tree. She paused and dropped her catch. "Hi guys."

Fernfur's good mood evaporated and was replaced with anxiety. "H-hi..." she mumbled, and made a poorly disguised attempt to hide behind the two toms. Nooo! It's another cat, it's another cat, what am I going to do?? she thought frantically.

Sunstorm looked at Silversong in surprise. Another cat? Was this follow a cat and make a gathering day? He leaned over to Fernfur and whispered into her ear. "Just be yourself." And gave her a wink.

Coalheart leaned in closer to Fernfur, Don't care of what others think.. he added to Sunstorms words and looked back at Silversong, Hello... he said nodding, Coalhearts voice seemed empty without emotion...

Sunstorm grinned to himself. She was trying, that was the good thing. Silversong wasn't going to hurt her or make fun of her- she was too nice a cat.

This time, Coalheart shut himself out, he had been part of one conversation now that another cat was in..he felt out of place.
His eyes flicked from Silversong, Sunstorm, and Fernfur. Every now and then they would stop at Fernfur. Coalheart wanted to help..but re-entering the conversation would seem odd...

Coalheart felt Fernfur's gaze on him, his dark eyes flicked towards her. Her eyes... he thought. Coalheart looked at the prey she had caught earlier, You want to take that back to camp? he asked looking back to Fernfur..

Sunstorm caught onto what Coalheart was trying to do. "Good idea, Coalheart! Silversong, do you want to go hunting with me while Coalheart and Fernfur take that and the rest of the prey they've buried back to camp?" He felt a pang of jealousy- Coalheart would get to spend more time with Fernfur, but he brushed it aside and smiled at Silversong. "What do you say?"
