OOC: This thread is to help the plot along. It is open to FIRECLAN AND EARTHCLAN CATS ONLY, unless you ask and are allowed. You can be in a thread already, and post here.



IC: A dark, mud covered creature slowly crept among the darkness. More shadows followed the lead, and snuck from hiding spot to hiding spot. The night was still with the lack of birds and creatures about. Each footstep was muffled by the damp moss and undergrowth. The shadows were cats. Their eyes shined with great mischief, and teeth flashed with the craving for revenge. Claws dug into the ground with each pawstep for the lead cat. Her amber eyes flashed with anger. Their scents were masked by the sticky mud, and their fur colors changed by its deep brown muck. All were told to keep their voices silent.

The lead cat of the group paused their quick pace, and lept atop a low branch. Her voice was low and raspy, bitter to the core. The hatred might as well have poured out of her shining eyes, and sliced the foliage around her and her fellow cats. Branches of the trees trembled. As if fearful of the muddy she-cat's wrath.

"Fireclan has taken enough of this! Skyclan has denied us for the last time!" The she-cat slammed a paw on the branch angrily. Bark flung from the impact, and showered some of the followers. "Let them see the power of our clan! We shan't attack them, though. They are ready for our might. Yet sneak past their watchful eyes, and take down another!" the she-cat snarled. Yowls of approval came from below her. Their heads rose and let out their cries, and paws beat among the ground in a uneven battle rhythm. Her sharp eyes raked painfully across the cats. A soft pink tongue rolled over the lead she-cat's front fangs. "Tonight, let a cloud mask the Earth. Fire shall burn their trees farther then ash! Let us show the Sky the power of Fire!" her claws dug into the bare bark of the branch hatefully, letting its sap seep out slowly. The yowls grew louder as her words continued. "Tonight, we shall attack Earthclan! While Treestar is weak!" With that, the mud covered she-cat whipped out her claws, and tore the soft under-bark out. Sap poured onto the mossy rocks below her. As she jumped off, and raced farther into the large trees, the weakened branch gave way. Its tattered form only a lifeless obstacle for the Fireclan cats. The she-cat's voice rang out once more as the muddy shadows followed. Her voice bitter, and almost the low hiss of an adder. "The Earth's Tree shall fall!"

Their new pace was quicker. All claws were out, tearing up the moss and leaves as they raced threw the trees. The large group was not to its fullest. Not every Fireclan cat followed the hatred filled deputy. Yet she did not turn to all of them. Foxcloud was dark, but not stupid. She was here without the knowledge of Burningstar, and every cat here was either loyal enough to follow her ways, believed in revenge against Skyclan, or was here out of fear of the Fireclan deputy splitting their tongues if they hadn't. None the less, Foxcloud could feel it. Though some were worried, and did not share the same hunger for battle as the others, she knew they would fight.

Foxcloud's grin grew dark and twisted. Treestar would die by her claws. The Fireclan deputy's claws itched. They begged to be driven deep within the leader's throat. To feel the blood rolling past them as his breath grew shallow and weak. If her band of cats couldn't get that far into his territory, she would take down as many as she could. Her tongue danced behind her teeth at that thought.

It hungered for the taste of blood...

Windgale leapt upon an unsuspecting mouse and dispatched it with a quick bite to the neck. Satisfied with her catch, now three mice and two sparrows, Windgale buried her catch. She decided to go further into EarthClan territory and see what else she could catch there. She might as well stock the freshkill pile. She stopped. A scent.. a bare whiff, but it was there. She looked curious. FireClan? The wind was blowing towards her, so the scent must be coming from up ahead. Windgale narrowed her eyes and sprinted forward. Something was wrong here....

(She'll sound the alarm after she's seen them I guess?)

ooc: Can Dreampaw join?? She's in Skyclan now, but part of the plan is to have Dreampaw fall in love with Flashpaw and vice versa. It might help if she saves his life in this battle...

Firemist followed Foxcloud. She didn't think fighting Earthclan was the way to go about this. "Foxcloud," she meowed. "Is fighting Earthclan the way to get back at Skyclan? We could be making things worse."

ooc(again): I make Firemist disagree with Foxcloud, to help the whole Fox vs. Fire....

OOC: Ooo, I think that Dreampaw would be a good idea! *runs to get Flashpaw*

IC: Moonlitice felt torn. She willingly followed the deputy, as did her previous mentor, Firemist, but she didn't feel quite right inside. EarthClan had never done anything to hurt them, and there were queens and kits... Not to mention cute young toms! Her beautiful amber eyes filled with emotion, and her gorgeous tabby body rippled in the moonlight. She sped up to run by Foxcloud's side. She had always been fond of the deputy, and knew that Foxcloud felt the same for her... but still, something about attacking the Clan that had never hurt them... SkyClan could be next! Moonlitice thought that Foxcloud just had a personal grudge against SkyClan... she didn't see what they had ever done to FireClan as a whole. And what of WaterClan? She had good friends in both Clans... and suddenly she didn't feel right inside. She glanced at Foxcloud's bright war filled eyes, and felt nasea ripple inside her belly. What had happened to her first friend?

OOC: Can I have Sunset here? She could be visiting Treestar and Forestfur... She hasn't had a good fight in a. while

Can Wildheart and Silentpaw join? Wildheart has a secret relationship with an EarthClan warrior, and that would make things interesting....

Wildheart glanced around nervously. As much as she would love to go into battle and show off her skills, she did not want to fight against Shadowprints clan. Fighting against EarthClan would mean fighting against her beloved's friends and family. How could I let this happen? she thought angrily, How could I have let my loyalty wash away in a heartbeat?

Silentpaw's paws itched to go into battle, but something felt wrong. He closed his eyes and spoke to his warrior ancestors, even though he couldn't see them, he knew that they were listening. "Is firemist right? Is fighting EarthClan not the answer to our problems?" He hoped they would answer him soon, he would not wish to let innocent cats' blood be spilled over nothing, except our own shelfishness. He looked over at Wildheart seeing her look down at her paws. Was she thiking the same as him?

"Foxcloud!" Wildheart called suddenly, breaking out of her trance, "I agree with Firemist. How would fighting EarthClan help the forest. Many of our cats would get hurt. Forgive me, but I'm only thinking what's best for our clan..."

Windgale gasped as she saw a large number of FireClan cats approaching EarthClan territory. She could see the light of battle in Foxcloud's eyes. She had to warn her Clan! Without another moment's hesitation, Windgale leapt out of her hiding place, sprinting at top speed, in a race against time to reach her Clan and warn them in time. Her heart thumped wildly as she ran. She was afraid, not only for herself, but for her clan! She didn't want any cat to get hurt. She urged her muscles on faster...

OOC: You can brink Sunset in, Lakeripple, but I must warn you that Foxcloud will find a way to use it. Just a heads up. ^-^

Foxcloud's mud soaked fur rubbed uncomfortably against her skin. This was forgotten quickly as soon as Firemist spoke. The deputy's eyes burned with hatred as her amber vision tore into the she-cat's fur with pure hatred. "As deputy of this clan, you will follow me! It is Burningstar's word!" she hissed at Firemist. Foxcloud's gaze turned to the warrior challengingly. Her claws dug in deeper as her mud-covered paws slammed powerfully against Earthclan soil.

Foxcloud flicked a ear behind her, before turning her head to glanced back at the one who called her name. The she-cat's amber eyes narrowed. Wildheart? The deputy tipped her head at the warrior's words. As they continued, Foxcloud felt the anger grow inside. She was agreeing with that poor excuse for a warrior Firemist! Instantly, the Fireclan she-cat skidded to a halt suddenly. So quickly in fact, that the muddy cats around her ended up skidding to a halt a good ways ahead. Their curious eyes turned to see the scene unfolding. Foxcloud growled angrily at Wildheart. Both she-cat's were practically nose to nose because of the deputy's sudden stop. "Listen, you pretty little butterfly," Foxcloud hissed mockingly in the Wildheart's face, "You can follow my lead, and fight for the right of Fireclan. For Burningstar's honor! Or you can let our leader down, and I'll rip off all your precious pretty fur for your treachery!" Foxclouds words made some cat's flinch. They all knew her anger was sharp, and what she said would be her actions.

Wildheart may have answered, but Foxcloud was no longer listening. Another noise made her mud-covered ears prick. The Fireclan she-cat's burning amber eyes allowed Mersey on the warrior before her, and instead turned to investigate the sound. The rustle of leaves. Light panting of breath. Then the flash of fur. Instantly Foxcloud grinned darkly with satisfaction. A messenger? Now that won't do... her mind purred evilly. As the mud-plastered she-cat spoke, her voice was now scarily joyful. "It seems we have a guest!" Foxcloud mewed to her followers, turning and locking her gaze with Moonlitice. "Now, show me what you have learned. Moonlitice, would you race ahead and stop that cat?" Before the young warrior could reply, the deputy tore off after Windgale. Her voice ringing out in a battle cry.


OOC: PLEASE DON"T TAKE WHAT FOXCLOUD SAYS PERSONALLY, WW4J!!! That is just the way she is, and I don't WANT to be mean to your character.

OOC: Awsome, having Sunset in this will be so cool!

IC: Moonlitice's eyes opened wide in terror at what the deputy had asked her to do. She glanced at Firemist, the battle raging in her eyes, should she do what she knew was right? But if she did, she would loose her best friend and her fur in one night. Her heart stuttered angrily. How dare Foxcloud do this to her! She ran after Windgale and began to run by her side. "Run quickly," Moonlitice muttered in an undertone. "And I can say to Foxcloud that you were faster then me, and we both might live through this night." Moonlitice hated doing this, as Foxcloud said it was Burningstar's word... But how could she let innocent blood be spilled?

Sunset stopped as she watched cats run through EarthClan territory. Her mind grew blank with anger, as she saw who was leading them, the boneheaded cat that had attacked her before! She must warn Treestar... and her brother and his kits! Her mind ached to her own kits...

Windgale gasped as a FireClan cat matched speeds with her. By Starclan she was fast! Fear filled her being and she braced for a blow, still running hard. She opened her eyes in shock as the warrior spoke to her- giving her a chance to live and warn her clan. She blinked in surprise, but also gratefullness. "Thank you.." She meowed, running even faster. "I won't forget what you've done!" She wondered why the warrior was doing this- she was going against her Clan by letting her live..She tried to remember the cat's name, but running for this long as this fast was taking it's toll on her. It was all she could do to keep running. Muscles aching and straining, and breath coming in ragged gasps now, Windgale ran like her name sake, desperate to get back in time.. She didn;t know if another cat was on her or not. She began to yell. Her safety wasn't the issue now, it was her Clan's safety that she was worried about. "The Clan's being attacked!" She yowled, panting heavily. "FireClan is attacking!" She continued to yowl loudly, hoping the clan, thought still aways away, would hear her voice and prepare for battle..

Moonlitice slowed and watched Windgale run into camp. Then she sprinted back to Foxcloud, but not before she wrenched out a large scrap of her fur. "Outran me," she panted, "I've never met a cat faster than me. Then I got caught on brambles..."

OOC: oh my this thread is SO COOL! PIKERU UR RPING IS AWESOME. <3 i'm really enjoying this read. ;P ohhhh i wonder what lonely Burningstar would do when he finds out? >=3

Dreampaw gasped at the Fireclan deputy. She was planning to attack Earthclan in revenge for what her new clan had done! There must be something she could do! Dreampaw ran quietly closer to the camp. Quietly Dreampaw peered into the camp. Almost intently Dreampaw saw the most handsome tom! His tail was like feathers, and he had the purest blue eyes!

Firemist looked at Moonlitice. "Nice try anyway," she called to her former apprentice. Firemist still felt wrong about fighting Earthclan. They could be digging their own graves with this battle. Surely this wasn't the way to solve the problem with Skyclan.

Rippedtail jumped at the sight of Windgale running into camp. Rippedtail had been on watch for several hours, and had watched as Windgale went out of the camp. "What' happended?" she questioned the startled she-cat. "You look as if the whole of Fireclan were marching up to our clan for battle."

ooc: poor Rippedtail doesn't know that she's right!! Well, I figured that she asks what's wrong before Windgale talks about Fireclan attacking...

Moonlitice blinked at Firemist, longing to tell her the truth, and to feel the praise... because she had done the right thing. But, she glanced at Foxcloud as she thought this, it was too dangerous in current company, no matter how fond the deputy was of her. No one was safe with Foxcloud's temper.

Flashpaw jerked his head up as her heard Windgale run into camp panting and Rippedtail's exclamation. He swiveled his ears forward to hear the conversation. He jumped to his paws lightly from where he had been eating, his agile body rippling gently in the moon. His gaze turned to the warriors' den, wondering if he should wake his father... or perhaps his grandfather, Treestar? He looked up as a orange she-cat pushed her way into camp. Sunset he thought. But before he could go to greet his aunt, he caught SkyClan scent, and FireClan scent. FireClan was strong, and SkyClan faint, one cat, a female. He looked around in alarm, and saw an apprentice staring at him. He stared back, wondering what she was doing here.

Sunset easily passed the guard who was talking anxiously to another warrior. Seeing her nephew, she ran towards him lightly. "Flashpaw!" she called. "Where's Treestar, he must be warned! FireClan coming up fast!"

Wildheart hissed back at her deputy, all respect lost from her voice. "If this is the word of Burningstar, then why isn't he here. He should be fighting with his clan!" She looked straight into her eyes and lashed her tail. It looked like the FireClan deputy wasn't even listening to her. She wished someone would back her up, but she knew that wasn't going to happen. She looked over at her brother and he shot her a warning glance. How could she fight Shadowprint? What would the clan think. Her stomach churned as she thought her secret might be revealed tonight.

StarClan help me! she thought and hung her head as she followed he deputy.

Silentpaw felt sorry for his sister. No one would stick up for her and now she must feel like a traitor. StarClan hasn't answered yet, he thought worriedly, does that mean that battling earthclan was right? He swallowed at sped along beside his mentor. "Dear Starclan!" he murmured under his breath, "What is happening?"

A large ginger she-cat called out to the young apprentice. Flashpaw, Dreampaw thought almost completely in awe of him. What would she do if she were discovered?

"Now wouldn't be the best time to disturb him," Rippedtail meowed polietly, but unsure about telling this rogue about Treestar.

Firemist walked up behind Wildheart. "It'll be fine, just listen to Foxcloud. No matter how wrong this is, fight for me, for Moonlitice, for yourself, and all the cats who you care about," the fire red she-cat whispered to the worried Wildheart.

Darkheart was silent through the whole thing. She didnt think it was right to fight. She looked up at the sky. "Birdkit . . ." she whispered softly She looked back down.

ooc: Maybe Foxcloud could try to kill Flashpaw and Dreampaw saves him, and that will help Flashpaw and Dreampaw and make Firemist really hate Foxcloud for trying to kill an apprentice.... It's just a thought, what do you think Pic...

Sunset looked at the she-cat. "Yes well, sniff the air will you? FireClan is coming up, and, according to my birth, I have a right to see him. Flashpaw, which way is the den?"

Flashpaw flicked his tail in the direction of the leader's den. His eyes were still fixed on the SkyClan she-cat. She was... beautiful. The way her eyes shone in the moonlight, the rippling of her muscles under her gorgeous fur... He took a step forward. Then, quickly glancing around to make sure that no one was watching, he dashed forward to stand in front of her. "Hey," he said, acting cool. "I'm Flashpaw." Then he paused, remembering the warrior code. "What are you doing on EarthClan territory?" His eyes glowed towards her, their blue color shining in her own... The color looked pretty together... They made a sort of sapphire...
