Leaffur layed down panting, staring down at the bundles of fur by her stomach. She gazed at them with love in her eyes. Then she switched her gaze to Forestfur. "I'm fine, don't worry."

"Flashkit and Songkit," Forestfur mewed proudly.
*Two moons pass*
Flashkit's fur bristled as he stared at the leaf. His prey he reminded himself. Creaping forward silently, he let out a slight hiss, but then... "Flashkit get back here!" His father called. "Coming Forestfur." Flashkit grumbled. "StarClan knows I didn't do anything wrong this time." he mumbled, slinking unhappily back to Forestfur and his mother...

Leaffur watched in silence as Forestfur had called their kit over. I wonder what Forestfur is going to say?
Songkit bounced happily around her mother's paws, as bored as ever. I wonder why daddy called Flashkit over? Did he do something again? Songkit stopped bouncing around and sat by her mother's paws as her brother came closer and closer.

Forestfur stared icily at his son. "Weren't you told to stay in the nursery?" he hissed.
Flashkit stared blankly up at his father. Then he remembered. "Oh yeah, I clawed Songkit the other day and mom got mad at me." He looked bored. "But I wanted to stalk some leaves! That isn't doing anything bad!" He looked put out.

Leaffur jumped in to say something before Forestfur did. "Your right, stalking leaves isn't anything bad, but clawing you sister is. Which is why you aren't supposed to be stalking leaves in the first place! And saying you forgot isn't an excuse, the clawmarks on your sister should be a good enough reminder for you!" Leaffur looked down coldly at her son.
Songkit stared in silence as her mom and dad scolded Flashkit. Every once in a while she would feel a sting from the clawmarks Flashkit gave her. Hm. Suits him right, don't think your going to claw me and get away with it.

Forestfur nodded to Leaffur's words. "You are to stay in the nursery for another day, because you directly disobeyed our orders." He thought a moment. "And no play fighting in the nursery."
"Aww, dad!" Flashkit complained. "That's just cruel. You don't know anything about being a kit!"

Leaffur didn't say anything this time. But she did nod in agreement with Forestfur.
Songkit felt a small pang of sympathy for her brother. No playfighting was harsh, and not only that, but were they are the only kits in the nursery. Who was she going to play with? I guess I can go hangout with the apprentices. But Songkit stayed around a little longer.

Treestar ginned to himself at what Flashkit had to say. The young tom was so much like Forestfur when he was a young kit. But that was not what the leader was here to do. "Leaffur, Forestfur, I think it is a good time to ask you two something..." Treestar mewed softly to the two, throwing a glance to Forestfur that seemed to say that he was proud the tom had found a mate and had a family together.

Forestfur thingyed his head to his father to show that he was listening, all the while not taking his gaze off his frustrating son.
Flashkit bounced up to his grandfather. "I'm going to be the best warrior ever!" he boasted. "Then someday, I might be deputy, like Flameclaws!"
Forestfur gave a low growl, he still thought that Flameclaws was up to something.
Outside of the camp, Sunset was bristling her fur by the guard. "I told you, I just want to see my brother's kits!" she growled.

Leaffur blinked and turned her head expectantly to the leader of her Clan, and the grandfather of her and Forestfur's kits. I wonder what the question is? Leaffur waited patiently for him to speak
Songkit ran to her grandfather, trying to outboast her brother. "No, i'm going to be the best warrior this Clan has ever seen!"

Treestar smiled warmly to his grandchildren as they spoke. The tom wondered if they would be like this is he wasn't the Earthclan leader. "I was wondering if you two wanted to have a ceremony for the kits. I think they are old enough, but the ceremony isn't mandatory." Treestar suggested, letting his yellow eyes flicked from Leaffur to Forestfur.
The choice was rightfully theirs.

Forestfur looked at his son. "All right, if it's all right with your mother."
Sunset gave a low growl, then looked around. "Treestar!" she yowled. "Call off your guard!"

Nodded his head, but then turned to Leaffur, waiting for her answer. But, before the reply came, a low growl came from the camp entrence. Treestar turned his brown tabby head to see his daughter, Sunset, growling at the guard. With a few quick strides, the quiet Earthclan leader was behind the guard. "It is okay, Burnclaw, she is with me." Treestar infromed the guard in his normal serious tone. The dark red-brown tabby tom bowed his head, and raced away. His jet black stripes seemed to be a blurr with his speed. Turning back to Sunset, Treestar smiled happily. "Perfect timeing, Sunset! The kits may have a ceremony!" the slim, long haired brown tabby tom purred happily.

Leaffur stood up and padded over to where Treestar was with Sunset. She dipped her head respectfully. "Greetings Sunset. Then she turned back to Treestar and let out a soft purr. "I don't see why they shouldn't have a ceremony. By that, I do mean yes."
Songkit bounced up and down when she heard her mother's answer. We're going to have a ceremony! We're going to have a ceremony! Then she noticed the cat standing next to her granddad and mom. "Who's that?"

Treestar froze at what Songkit had asked....had Forestfur told them? In fact, did Leaffur know yet? If his son had followed his orders, then she did not...but....the way Forestfur saw the reason why, it wouldn't be surpriseing if she did. None the less, the Earthclan leader froze. What should he say? Should Sunset just be a old friend? Can he trust the kits not to get all exited and tell everyone in the clan?
