In the nursery

Treestar felt numb, as Sunset just blurted out how she was their aunt. The Earthclan leader swallowed hard, and turned to his daughter quickly so he could give her a warning glance as he spoke, "When ever it is best for you two and the kits, Leaffur. Please excuse me and Sunset for a moment...." Treestar answered, before gestureing Sunset to follow him to the wall of the clearing. This was a good distance from the kits and Leaffur. He still didn't know if his son's mate knew...or if she had told anyone if she did. All the leader was worried about, was to warn his daughter once more of the dangers of telling anyone about the family tree.

Leaffur didn't feel the least bit suprised when Sunset had said that, she did already know after all. "Well, anytime is fine with me."Leaffur turned and padded over back to Forestfur.

Songkit ran over to her mom. "Can we have the ceremony now?!"

"Thats up to your father, like I said, anytime is fine with me."

Songkit turned to her father with pleading eyes, waiting for his response.

Sunset yawned and followed her father.

Forestfur looked down angrily at Flashkit.

Flashkit needed the ground impatiently.

Treestar let out a long sigh once they were at a good distance, and faced Sunset. "Don't you think its a bit dangerous to tell them about the family tree just yet? There just kits, and who knows who they might tell." Treestar wanted to add how when he was young, despite his quiet nature, sometimes secrets kind of....slipped....depending on the amount of pressure given to him to tell. But, that seemed like a lecture more or less then a quick talk.

"Relax!" Sunset mewed. "No one believes kits, expecially two moon old ones! Those two aren't going to tell anyone who will believe them."

Treestar gave a small sigh, "I can name a few...." he answered finally, glancing at a few warriors who were having their prey near a stump. With a small nod, Treestar left Sunset, and let his paw steps take him to his son, Forestfur. "So, when do you want it?" The Earthclan leader purred happily, ignoring the nagging feeling of worry in the back of his mind.

Spottednose padded up to Leaffur with the borage leaves clamped between her mouth. "Here you go Leaffur." she purred, dropping the borage leaves in front of her. She looked up, taking a glance at the two healthy kits. "They seem to be doing well Leaffur. Two VERY healthy kits." She couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of the two energetic kits, causing trouble for their parents.

[Tigerfur]

Leaffur looked down then she ate the herbs. They weren't bad, but they did leave a small tang of bitterness. Then Leaffur let out a soft purr to Spottednose. "Thanks Spottednose. They are very healthy, and quite a handful. But thats what being a parent is all about, raising them up just right." Leaffur let out a soft sigh, and she let a glint of amusement flash in her eyes. "I bet they'll be even more of a handful for their mentors when they become apprentices."

Forestfur looked up. "Now, so that they don't nag us for the rest of the day."

[Tigerfur]

Songkit jumped and let out a squel of excitement when she heard her father's answer. She didn't know what kind of ceremony it would be. Maybe it would be an apprentice ceremony.

Windgale walked into nursery. "How are the kits?" she asked cooly.

Spottednose chuckled at what Leaffur had said. She was right, but it was still a long way. Seeing that Wingdale had approached to them, she couldn't help feel her coolness when she was speaking. She tried to lighten up her mood. "They are find kits Wingdale, don't you think they'll become wonderful warriors?"

[Tigerfur]

Leaffur had noticed Windgale's cool attitude. What's up with her? Leaffur looked at Windgale expectantly, wondering what she would say about her and Forestfur's kits.

[Spottedshadow]

"Wonderful warriors indeed," Windgale looked at the kits like a hungry cat looked at fresh-kill.

Spottednose sighed, indeed it was what she had thought would happen. Again, she tried to break of the look on Wingdale's expression. "Leaffur do you want something to eat? I can bring you some prey if you like?"

[Spottedshadow]

Windgale looked detached. All the cats had something against here.

Seeing Wingdale's change of expression again, she couldn't help thinking if she had gone too far. "Do you want something as well Wingdale? There should be plenty of prey."

[Spottedshadow]

"I'll get my own," Windgale said with a slight snarl.

[Tigerfur]

Leaffur didn't like the look that Windgale had gave her kits. Why is she looking at them like that? Leaffur then heard Spottednose's question. "Yes, please, Spottednose. Anything will do, i'm not much of a picky eater. When Leaffur heard Spottednose ask Windgale the same question, and the she-cat let out a snarl, Leaffur let her claws slide out, sinking them into the ground. Then she narrowed her blue eyes, while drawing her own teeth back in the begginings of a snarl. Windgale was really acting weird these days. "Songkit, Flashkit, go lie down in your bedding until Treestar calls you for the ceremony." Leaffur didn't want Windgale near the kits, at least not at the moment from the way she's acting.

Songkit let a small glint of disappointment enter her eyes. But nonetheless, she obeyed. "Yes mother." Songkit padded over to the bedding, and curled up. She fell into a light sleep.

Windgale turned and left the nursery.

OOC:Sorry about Windgale, but that's just the way she is. She was made fun of as an apprentice causing her to seem to be angry with all the cats.
