Flameclaws saw the apprentice's fighting the badger. It was cute how Rippedpaw gave Thunderpaw a chance to attack the badger. He just chuckled. They would be a cute couple. Flameclaws was interrupted by Windgale. It startled him for a moment. "The apprentices were just fighting the small badger.It's better if it's killed now before it's mother comes.So it would give the apprentices some experience." Flameclaws knew that the mother must be looking for it. She would be coming soon. Flameclaws got a little nervous. When would the mother come back?

Snowfoot looked at Windgale then blinked gratefully at Rippedpaw. He bunched bis muscles and broke into a full speed charge, bearing down on the small badger. A battle cry escaped his lips as he rammed head first into the badgers side. He landed neatly on his paws as it hit the ground, he spun round and nodded to Rippedpaw, "Finish it!"

Rippedpaw ran towards the badger and drove it off into the woods.

Thunderpaw noticed Treestar in the nearby bushes, of course, he was Rippedpaw's mentor! He looked over to Flameclaws. "Did you see that!" he mewed. He padded over to Rippedpaw "Talk about teamwork" he purred

Thunderpaw began to run in circles and jump about, "Perhaps we should tell the clan later, so they know to keep an eye out for the mother" he mewed between jumps, he too noticed it was odd the mother wasn't there.

Flameclaws chuckled at how the apprentice's were so happy. But it still gave him a chill about where the mother is. She could attack the camp. Flameclaws then thought about having a couple of patrols go out for a while. Flameclaws sighed.

Thunderpaw kept up with Rippedpaw, his striped fur bouncing with each pawstep. He glanced over his shoulder to check if the mentors were coming back to camp too, then looked back to Rippedpaw. He felt his stomach growl and was quite glad to be getting back to camp, at least then he could get some food. He hadn't eaten all day!
