Echo parted her jaws and breathed in the scent of mouse. Looking around she spotted the plump creature, and pounced on it, at lightning speed, not caring to even stalk her prey. It seemed to work because she killed it with a deadly bite to the neck. She smiled looking up at Kiba. "How was that?" she said, happily, knowing that her stomach would be filled that night.

Kiba watched as Echo caught the mouse and nodded. "Great catch" he meowed as he too scented the air. For a while he couldn't find anything then he smelt a squirrel nearby. He crouched low and crept round, gesturing to Echo with his tail to be quiet. He brushed through tall grass silently, moving his paws slowly. Suddenly, he leapt forwards and in a grey blur, he had the squirrel pinned to the ground. He finished it off by flashing out his claws into the creature. He picked up the squirrel, now marked with six neat, little holes. He dropped his catch and looked back to Echo.

Echo was amazed at how silently a cat could move his paws. "What was that? What do you call it when you move your paws like that? I've never hunted like that before..." She never seen that done, but of course she had to learn to hunt herself, because she had nobody to teach her and Walker mostly did... well nothing..

"Oh that?" Kiba meowed "I learnt on my travels, from some old tom. He called it 'The hunter's crouch' or something... Kiba paused, remembering his long, arduas search for adventure. "He said it was something of a trademark move of the clans, whatever they are, probably just bedtime stories for kits" he said casually. "What do you think?" he murmered, holding Echo's gaze.

Echo stared back, wisdom showing in the young cat's eyes, "I do not believe that they are bedtime stories, though they do seem frightening. I too, have heard of these clan cats you speak of. How long have you been traveling? I believe that I have no purpose in life, just a spirit in a shell of a cat, and do not wish to interfere with other cat's lives. So far, I think I'm not that skilled in that subject."
