Walkn' (open)

Mouse walked quietly along the twoleg path; it was dirt, with grass growing here and there. She paused, sniffed the air, then went on down the road. After a while she came apon a open field; she took a detour into the feild and meandered into the tall grass.
Today, Mouse thought, is the best day of the moon. She kept on walking and then she froze. She heard it again, a yowl of anguish. Of pain and fowl hate.

Courage watched from the trees as a she cat padded by. He kept quiet, wondering of he should go and talk to the cat. He clambered down from the tree and landed with a thud as his claws failed to grasp the bark well. He shook his head, a little dazed.

(what did you want the yowl to be? A cat I know, but what cat?)

OOC: Oooh can I join I have a rogue name walker, he could've been attacked by a fox or badger or somethin like that!

Courage yelped as he heard the sound again. "It sounds like.. a cat." With that, he dashed off, not waiting to see if Mouse followed him or not. If he could help a cat in trouble, he would do so.

Walker nearly screamed when he saw the badger. He stayed low, hoping it wouldn't see him, but the badger sniffed him out, swinging his big FAT nose around and about. He was pretty sure he did yowl when it attacked him. He jumped on top of the badger, clawing him in his face, but was soon thrown to the ground. He looked up and saw a cat running towards him. Was that... Courage?

Courage gasped as he saw the badger attacking a cat. huh? Walker? Courage sprang into action, yowling ferociously and burying his two long fangs into the badger's shoulder and clawing at it with his hindpaws. His ears flattened. "mawr foo mofay?" Courage tried to yell over the sound of the battle and badger in his mouth. (Translation: Are you okay?)

OOC: haha. thanks for putting the translation, I did not get a word that cat said!

IC: Walker shouted over the roar of the badger and meowed, "I'm okay. Just bruises. So far." He hissed at the badger and rolled under it, moving to the backside of the badger, jumping over onto her back, climbing over to her neck and biting down hard on her ear. Blech, he thought, badger fur!

Courage nodded to show Walker he had heard. He let go of the badger's shoulder and clambered onto it's back, sinking his back claws in while get got a grip and slashed at the badger's face. Hopefully it had gotten enough and would go away. Courage saw Walker's expression of disgust and wrinkled nose and felt the same way. Badgers were very smelly animals..

OOC: *smiles*

IC: Walker raked his claws down the badger's back, hearing it roar out in pain. The badger turned his head so fast that walker wasn't expecting it and it bit him by the scruff, flinging him down to the hard ground. He rolled out of the way just in time as the badger stood up and brought down it's massive paws on the space next to him. "Fox dung!" he cursed, "This will be tricky!"

"Whoa" Courage went flying as the badger turned really fast. He shook his head, spitting out dirt and then leapt at it again, yowling fiercely. He clawed it's eyes, hoping that might stop it..

The badger roared and stopped the fighting for a moment, giving Walker a chance to attack. He muttered a quick thanks to Courage, while thinking, i'm not doing bad... for a kittypet.

Courage grinned when the badger stopped and then groaned as it started up again. At least Walker was doing a good job. It had been awhile since he had fought any creature, least of all a badger. He grunted and rolled under it's belly and clawed it..

OOC: YOu would think that the badger would have ran away by now...

IC: A loud yowl from the trees made the badger look up and hold the fighting. Echo jumped out of nowhere and landed on the badger's face, clawing it, until blood came gushing out.

"Echo!" yowled Walker in delight, "You came!"

Echo didn't answer him, still angry at him for letting, Star stay with them. All she was concentrating on was fighting the badger and nothing else. "Courage!" she called to the other cat in the fight, "You take the back of it. It'll be more confused when two cats are fighting from both sides."

(Haha. yeah I know! I guess it's too stupid to feel pain right away? lol)

Courage nodded his agreement and clawed his way to the other end of the badger. He could sense the Echo was angry, but now was not the time or place for him to ask why she was angry. He concentrated on clawin and biting the badger, feeling his muscles and especially his jaws beginning to ache. He hung on for dear life as the badger tried to throw him off again and continued to rake his claws against it..

(btw, are Walker and Echo part of the HHB - High Hills Band?)

OOC: nah, they're loners. livin life free, I want them to be part of the HHB, i still have to ask, though. I'm procrastinating. I'm gonna make the badger run away like a scared little kit now.

IC: The Badger roared and stopped fighting, choosing to were to attack next. Confused, it lumbered away, sadly moaning. "Great job, courage!" meowed Echo and giving Walker and glaring look.

(That'd be cool! Courage is part of the HHB, but he's feeling left out since Sunset had her kits I guess lol! Anyways, I'll be Courage and Walker are glad the badger is running like a mewling kit lol!!))

Courage took a deep breath. "Whew! Are you okay, Walker?" The tan tom asked. "Thanks Echo. You saved our sorry pelts!" He meowed. "What brings you here?

Echo replied, "I heard walker mewing is stump of a tail off!"

"Hey!" argued Walker.

Courage stifled a grin, which was very hard, considering he had two long, saber tooth cat fangs. His green eyes sparkled merrily. "Really now?" He chortled. "Anyways, were you looking for this fuzzball or something then?" He asked Echo. "I mean, you probably, as loud as he is, wouldn't have heard him from your territory."
