Morning

Dewpelt's ears pricked when he heard birds chirping outside. is it morning already? he thought, and opened his eyes into slits.
it was bright and he wrinkled his nose when he smelled many herbs. oh yeah, i'm in the medicine cat's den... he remembered, and sat up.
Birchpaw lay beside him, and he looked down at her, hoping she was feeling better.

Spottednose woke up in an instant. What was that? Listening for a few minutes, she could hear that it was the bird's chirping that woke her. Is it possible? I thought I had a scary dream. It must be me, thinking too much. Shaking her head, to let the deep thoughts go to the back of her head, she could see Prettie beside her and the food untouch. She must be very tired. Looking around, she sees Dewpelt waking up. "Dewpelt." she whispers. "I think Birchpaw is getting better now. She didn't wake me up. So I'm assuming that she is recovering."

Dewpelt nodded with a smile, then flickered his tail for the medicine cat to step out of the den so they don't wake Birchpaw up.
He stretched when he got outside, then sat down. "I agree with Birchpaw's decision" he started "I think it's best for her to train with u. even though i'll lost her as my apprentice, i dont want her to get hurt"
he didnt know why but he cared for her.

Prettie woke up with a start. beside her lay the weird smelling kill that shes never touched before. she wrinkled up her nose after smelling the dead animal, then curled up into a ball, dozing in and out of sleep.

Following Dewpelt quietly outside, she took a deep breath to smell the fresh air. Sitting down next to Dewpelt, she quietly listened to Dewpelt. Nodding her head with understanding, she said "If that's your discision, that I will accept her as my apprentice then." "The problem is that I think she's becoming a med. cat because she wants to see her mother. A real med. cat is to heal other cats. But if she's determine to do this, then I will respect her decision."

Dewpelt nodded in agreement, then stood up and stretched again. "want some freshkill?" he asked and headed for the pile.

"Sure" As Dewpelt went to get the fresh kill, Spottednose glanced at Prettie and saw that she was still sleeping with the food untouched again. I guess she REALLy is tired.

Dewpelt picked up a vole and brought it back, dropping it in front of Spottednose. "here" he mewed and sat back down. he himself didnt feel like eating today.
"i'll go hunting" he decided. he nodded to the medicine cat and padded out of camp.

Prettie really wasn't able to sleep anymore so she stood up and ran out of the den up to spottednose. "hiya!" she purred. "is there any tuna or cat food to eat this morning?" she asked totally not knowing that warriors ate prey.

OOC: LOL .....hallarious. I was about to make Spottednose burst into laughter...sorry...

IC: Spottednose dipped her head with gratitude. Spottednose could feel that Dewpelt was feeling unusual. She reminded herself to talk to him later today. Was it because of Birchpaw? He could say that he didn't care, but in his heart, it might have a bigger effect in him. Spottednose sigh, now she didn't feel like eating either. All this thinking gave her a big headache.
Seeing that Prettie was awake, she lightened up. "Oh, you've finally woken. Um...I'm sorry but we never eat those kind of food. You see, in this wilderness, all the cats in the clan eat prey. Um...do you want to try some?" Spottednose push the vole that Dewpelt gave to her in front of Prettie to try.

Birchpaw opened her eyes to slits. No one would see that she was awake. Anyway, no cat was watching her. She got up silently and padded outside. She saw Dewpelt leaving and she ran silently to the entrance. She whispered, "Sorry." in his ear than left. She sat ina thicket, and watched the early morning camp. The soft carressing wind brushed her lightbrown fur. She had noticed that there were hardly any poppy seeds. She jumped up onto the top of the wall of brambles and rocks, and leaped down again. She walked right next to the camp wall, for she had once smelled the smell of poppies under a bush. She scrambled under and looked around. It was poppy world under here! The cloying scent threatened to make her sleep, but she resisted. She noticed that she was near the nursery, what a perfect place for a nursery! Nice sleepy smells...She shook herself awake. She padded to the closest poppy, took a seed head, and carried it slowly through the small field. She slipped into camp and rested for a few moments. Birchpaw proudly walked into the medicine cat clearing and gave the seed head to spotted leaf. "I found a small field of poppies!" she cried.

OOC: Um...my name is Spottednose not Spottedleaf

IC: While Prettie was sniffing the vole, Spottednose took a glance at Birchpaw and realized that she was missing. She looked around the den, "Where's Birchpaw?" she asked panickly. Seeing that Birchpaw must have left the den, she walked out the den entrance. About to tell Streamstar that Birchpaw was missing, she saw a figure up ahead. She squinted her eyes and saw that it was Birchpaw and ran up to her. "Birchpaw" she scolded, "where have you been? You know that you shouldn't be wondering around. You're still weak. Next time don't do that again please. You're making me worrying about you."

OOC: lol birchpaw is a her, not him!

IC: "really that's all u guys eat?!" Prettie hissed under her breath, then took a small bite out of it. "hey not bad... although still not as good as tuna..." she licked her muzzle and took a couple more bites out of the vole.


Dewpelt heard something like a 'sorry', but by the time he turned around he saw nobody.

OOC: Sheesh..I keep on thinking that it's a him....I don't know why...Mymymy

IC: "As Spottednose got back to the den with Birchpaw, she saw Prettie eating the vole and purred with satisfaction. "I'm glad you like it. I'm sorry, but we can't find any of that food anywhere." Spottednose then turn back to Birchpaw, "Are you sure you're alright? No pain anywhere? I'm sure you'll be all healed up in a jiffy seeing that you have a lot of enthusiasm."

Birchpaw held up the poppy head. "I found a smallish field of poppies near the nursery. When i was a kit I would roll in the poppies." Noticing Prettie Birchpaw dropped her vioce, "Anyways, I don't like being lazy when i could be helping; unlike a kittypet. Yuck. No offence to the kittypet eating the vole. From the look on her face, she still thinks her...food" Birchpaw made a face "is better. Not that she can't be nice." She took a look at the herbs. "I think you might need some more" sniff sniff "borage and if you haven't found it, I'll show you the field."

Prettie flickered her ears. she had a good sense of hearing and bit down a comeback, and nibbled on the vole she was eating.
maybe she doesnt want to be my friend after all... she sighed to herself. ive never had a friend in my life, and now i cant even find rascal... i miss home...
her eyes shined with tears that she tried to keep in and she forced a swallow.

Hearing what BIrchpaw said, Spottednose started to get annoyed, she scolded her. "Birchpaw, show some respect. That wasn't nice. We're all cats, but we're just from different worlds. We can't be blamed for that. That's life and we should respect it that way." Spottednose hesitated, knowing that her words could be a bit harsh to her. She talked in a nicer tone "Please be nicer to her. All she want to do is go back to her home. Is that too much to ask? Besides, she isn't use to the food. I'd like her to stay for a little while. Show her around and let her see what the other end of the world is like."

After talking to Birchpaw, Spottednose went to see Prettie. She could see her looking down so she tried to cheer her up. "Oh Prettie, don't worry, don't listen to Birchpaw, she just isn't use to another cat near her. I'm still your friend no matter what. Come on, I'll show you around our camp and I'll introduce you to my sister too." Spottednose turned towards Birchpaw, "You can stay here to rest and examine the herbs first. I'll teach you when I get back." The she went out the den with Prettie.

IC: Prettie nodded, smiling and finished off her breakfast. Before she left with Spottednose, she glanced at Birchpaw. Not in a mean way at all, but that of the wanting to be friends kind of way. she sighed. i probably will never be her friend. she probably hates me for living with humans
"so, where're we going?" she asked, looking up to Spottednose. actually, she thought of her as either her long separated mother or an understanding big sister.

"I can't wait to introduce you to my sister! Don't worry, she'll welcome you and she's very friendly" As they walked around, she showed Prettie the den "You see that den? That's the warrior's den and to the right, over there, that's the apprentice's den. Birchpaw is the only apprentice in the clan though so we would be hoping that there will be more kits in the future." Then spottednose walked on with Prettie Over there is the leader's den. You see that entrance over there? That's the camp entrance and out of the camp, is our territory where prey lays around and where I search for herb. I can show you around our territory if you like. Over there, is the fresh kill pile." That's where we put our fresh kill when we finish hunting." Then she looked around for Wildflight and she spotted her right away. She shouted out to her "Wildflight, over here"

Wildflight looked around and saw that Spottednose was calling her. Running to her, she saw a strange cat beside her. I wonder who that cat is. "Hey, what's up? and this is...?"

Spottednose happily replied to her "This is Prettie, she lives with the twelogs and she's staying here for a few days. I'm showing her around and I want to introduce her to you."

Wildflight looked at Prettie with enthusiasm "That's great! Welcome to the clan Prettie, I hope you enjoy your visit!" Then she turned to Spottednose, "Hey, I have to go now. I'm in a hunting patrol. I'll see you later Prettie" Then she nodded her head and left.

Spottednose then call out to her "Hey Wildflight, can you check on Dewpelt for me? I think he's hunting also, so you might see him. I don't think I have time to talk to him. I know he's kinda down from loosing his apprentice. Try to cheer him up will you?"

Wildflight nodded her head, then replied back "Ok, I will. Don't worry! I'll try my best" Then ran off.

Spottednose then turned towards Prettie, "What do you think of my sister? After she finishes hunting, I'll let you guys talk more if you want." "So, where do you want to go now?"

"hm i dunno but ur sister seems nice" Prettie purred and looked around at unfamiliar surroundings. "this place is...big.... but... when will u help me find my home?"
she still didn't know if she would actually stay here...she was still so unused to the forest and all. maybe she could turn from a soft kittypet to a warrior but she doesn't know that. she had only known her warm kittypet home; nothing like this.

"Yep, it is big." Seeing that Prettie was down and deep in thought. "Do you want to go home now? I could escort you if you want." Spottednose felt guilty now, she didn't want Prettie to go home. She felt that they were close already, like she had another sister.

Prettie nodded, though she didnt look happy at the thought even though she wanted to go home. she didn't know where she wanted to stay...at least, not now.

(lol maybe after she returns home she could realize she truly want to be in the forest or smth and come back? MAYBE... i dunno. XP then she could really b a clan cat?)
