The morning chill still clung to the misty air as the sun beamed like a tiny eclipse in the pale blue sky. Black paws formed a perfect path in the dew-frosted grass as he padded into camp with his head and tail held high like he owned the place. In his jaws was a plump Earthclan squirrel he'd gotten when he had padded over the border...like he owned the place. The clan leaders could kiss his grits and so could Starclan.
The handsom black tom slumped down near the apprentice's den and placed a paw on his kill, using it as a brace as he ripped into it. Fierceclaw hated squirrel, but the small tom was anything but picky. He hadn't eaten in days, but the strange thing was...he didn't know why. Maybe it was just because of his subconcious depression at being placed in a "low-class clan". Or maybe he just hadn't thought about it.
His icy mismatched eyes wondered the empty clearing, tainted with satisfaction at being alone. It was peaceful. But if Fierceclaw's fate served loyal to it's typical self, that wouldn't last long...

Snowstep shook off a few moss balls from her pelt as she padded out of the warriors den. the morning was cold as frost coated the ground, and the cool air made its way through her fur, making her shiver a little. the camp was empty, except for the black figure of Fierceclaw. he was eating freshkill alone. she smiled and went over, crouching down beside him, her eyes shining. "good morning," she purred, not noticing the odd Earthclan scent that the squirrel had.

((Lol! It was the only clan I could think of that bordered this one))
The small tom turned a narrow-eyed look questioning her actions. There was no question in his mind of why she was being friendly. She wanted something, oh wonderful. Fierceclaw hated false pretence, and he hated butt-kissers. Things WERE boring around here, sure, despite the fight from the night before (from which, he had some odd looking paste pressed against his wounds, along with cobwebbs atop of that) but Fierceclaw was in no mood for such games as this. He felt like he was going insane...
"What do you want, she-cat?" He growled tone-lessly, tearing another bite off his squirrel. He needed a smart-elic to fight with, something, anything to keep his mind buisy before it collapsed on itself.

OOC: Post time!!! IC: Thawpelt parted his jaws, and gave a great yawn. His ears folded backwards, but then flicked forwards once it was over. The mossy nest clung to his flank, and had to be forced off by his rugged pink tongue. The Skyclan warrior's dark blue eyes were clouded, as he blinked rapidly, to clear out the unknown clear fuzz in his vision. The odd colored tom sleepily made his way up out of his nest, and turned to the bright sun. The sun was clearly out, but the wind was still bitter cold.
Thawpelt slowly made his way threw the entrance, and poked his head out into the clearing. Everything was empty, except for two shadowy figures. Thawpelt blinked a few times. The figures were Snowstep, and the other cat, who he now knew as Fierceclaw. Thawpelt shivered as a cold breeze rushed past his spine. The dark blue eyed Skyclan tom slowly stepped into the shadows, and rounded the edge of the camp, to get to the fresh kill pile. He wasn't trying to sneak up to them, just get to the fresh kill pile without drawing any attention. Thawpelt looked down at the pitiful pile. Any prey that was there, was thin and would hardly make a meal. A good sized fish poked out of the pile. Its lifeless eyes looking blankly at what ever got in their paths.
The Skyclan tom grabbed the fish's head in his sharp teeth, and pulled it out. Its tail limply flapped, as his paws took him to a shadowy place near the entrance to the warrior's den. Thawpelt flopped onto his stomach with a "oof", and placed the fish infront of his snow white paws. Turning his dark blue eyes up, Thawpelt watched as Snowstep meowed something to Fierceclaw. Everything felt numb when he looked at Snowstep. His mind went blank again, and his eyes must have been emotionless once more. Thawpelt's mind was deep in thought, but so deep, that Thawpelt himself wasn't able to figure out what he was thinking of. It was like his mind had run behind a twoleg door, and slammed it shut.
Thawpelt looked down at his fish dumbly. His dreams had been filled with much thought too. All though, he got nothing out of the countless times he had awoken in the middle of moon high, and paced moons worth of times around the camp, in a desperate attempt to get what ever was in his mind, away, and get a nice and relaxing sleep. All Thawpelt could hope for, is for the shadows to hide him for long enough to eat his fish, and go off on a hunt. If....that is....he could take the first bite out of it.OOC: Wile I was watching Animal Planet, a saying came on. So, I drew a picture, and here is what it turned out to be:

OOC: hah that pic is cute! it's too bad i dont have a scanner... i wish i can show u guys what i drew in my spare time. XP (a long time ago since i have no more spare time... =S)
IC: Snowstep was a little taken aback by what Fierceclaw's response was, but she didn't take it too personally. "since yesterday didn't go that well, i want to welcome you to the clan, and get to know you better." she purred, her bright eyes still watching the handsom black tom. she knew that Fierclaw just joined not too long ago, and not many cats welcomed him. out of the corner of her eyes, the she-cat saw Thawpelt pass them after fetching something to eat. he didn't bother acknowledging the two cats, and sat alone instead. once again, he didn't look like himself; even she saw that.

Fierceclaw noticed there was something wrong with the tabby, but you'd never know it because he could honestly care less. If the tom didn't have the strength to suck it up he deserved to suffer. Sulker, Fierceclaw was half tempted to go rub it in his face as soon as he finished his squirrel. Who knew? Maybe it'd throw this she-cat off his tail at the same time. Fierceclaw needed someone to argue with, since he obviously wasn't "allowed" to slap somebody around ((just say their leader scolded both of them for it, as any leader would do. Too bad whoever rps him/her isn't on much)) burning the heck out of someone ELSE'S sanity was the only way of keeping his own stable. That was some wicked theropy right there. But even that would begin to loose it's luster. Fierceclaw needed some sort of challenge, something meaningful to do that wasn't a bloody chore. And meaningful to Fierceclaw of coarse, was something benificial to numbero uno.
A faint smirk smirk twitched at his wiskers at her words. "Is that right?" He stated more than asked, amusment lining his tone, "Alright then she-cat. Follow me." He got to his paws, leaving what remained of his squirrel where it lay, not bothering to burry it. Somebody lesser could clean that up on their own time.
"Hey there Cloudy, where'd the thunder go?" He jested as he reached Thawpelt, standing directly in front of him with paws only a mouse-length from or two the tabby's food challengingly, looming over him with a taunting smirk, "Oh dear, didn't loose it in the hurricane did you? Heheh, you should know better than to take our your insanity on those more powerful than you. Next time you might wanna be more careful, you could loose that leg too." He spied Thawpelt's wounded leg, circling him now like a demon trying to weaken the walls before he attacked.

Post by Rosefeather on Nov 28, 2007 19:00:54 GMT -8
Rosefeather walked into camp, frost glittering on her paws. As deputy, she was to up before anyone else and asleep last. The bounce in her step died as she saw the new comer, Fierceclaw, circling Thawpelt, Snowstep several steps behind. She took sheer seconds to add everything up. She stared at her paws. What was this, feeling? It was like, a power over every cat, a power that she had never felt before, like she was better than any of them. Rosefeather considered herself equally important as any SkyClan cat, but what was happing to her? Had this new training at night turned her heart into some stuck up thorn? She rolled her sholders, trying to relax, she had toms to deal with. She padded over, head held high, her sharp green eyes watching their every moves. "Fierceclaw! Go make yourself useful! Snowstep, take a few warriors and check the borders, the Tribe seems to be closer every night. Thawpelt, uhhh, just finish your fish and rest." She cut in front of Fierceclaw and wispered into his ear, "Don't you dare cause trouble, I'll have you swimming with the fishes before you could open your mouth."
OOC: Wanna make it interesting? How about Fierceclaw doesn't know Rosefeather's the deputy, and challenges her authority?

OOC: Sorry for the two day disappearance.....that 2 year old isn't giving me much time for myself.....anyway, sounds interesting! Up to you, Fierceclaw.
IC: Thawpelt gritted his teeth when Fierceclaw padded over to his spot. The black cat's paws were only maybe a mouse length way from his fish. The odd colored tom was tempted to bite the thingyy tom's paws right off his legs, but Thawpelt just looked to the younger (Is he younger then Thawpelt? I will have to look at Fierceclaw's bio again...dang...my memory is dead today.....!) tom. Thawpelt's mouth twisted into a grin, as his dark blue eyes filled with its fire once more. Well, the fire came back as best it could. "Well, I see you are still a bundle of sunshine. You are acting like a stuck up prince!" The tom purred, "What happened to your kingdom? Did you drive them off a cliff?" Thawpelt's words sounded taunting and bitter, but the Skyclan tom's heart wasn't into it. Deep down, he still felt empty. About what though? That was a question that kept him up at that night, and clouded his mind. As Thawpelt thought, he took a large bite out of his fresh-kill, and turned when a voice came from the left.
More orders? Great. Even if the Skyclan deputy, Rosefeather, wasn't planning on making him do anything, he still didn't want to even hear people bossing each other around. Thawpelt gave a respectful nod to Rosefeather, then took another large bite out of his fish. Maybe his slight limp wasn't too bad. The medicine cat said it wouldn't be around for long, and that he was expected to be normal soon. This was good, because then the apprentices wouldn't have to deliver him food. When they did this, they made Thawpelt feel slightly uneasy, because he didn't like being fed and taken care of. Actually, Thawpelt had turned down a large fish earlier from a apprentice, and had told him to go give it to a elder, or put it back in the pile. Luckily the apprentice had gone away before the warrior's stomach protested loudly.
Thawpelt turned to Fierceclaw and Snowstep. Their fur color kind of reminded him of good and bad. White and black. But Snowstep was anything but good. Some times Fierceclaw was like a perfect angel compared to the life long torture of Snowstep. Maybe they should have switched pelt colors. Thawpelt pictured Snowstep in a black coat, and Fierceclaw in a light gray color. The Skyclan tom couldn't help but laugh at himself inside at this thought. Thawpelt grinned once more to Fierceclaw. Had the new warrior already said something again? Darn....I missed his reaction....Thawpelt thought to himself, guessing that Fierceclaw had already snapped something back.
OOC: What is kind of cool, is that Thawpelt knows nothing about Fierceclaw's history, and that little shot in the dark was kind of close to your cat's past, as someone who is just trying to taunting can get, right? I tried to make what Thawpelt said close, but not TOO close.

Rosefeather looked around, everyone was either sleeping or hunting. She layed down by Thawpelt and kneaded the cold ground. "Hows that leg doing? Winterpaw said you'd be okay. She watches you closely, she'll make a great medicine cat. If you feel up to it, you can try fishing later, you seem to favor our water prey." Rosefeather smiled at him, trying to be friendly.

OOC: Okay, I'm sure when he gets back on, he can clear it up.
IC: Thawpelt simply shrugged as Rosefeather sat down next to him, "Sure, why not?" the odd colored tom was slowly coming out of his angry moment, and his eyes were most likely becoming empty again. Thawpelt couldn't help but continue to wonder why he still felt empty. Was it because he finally got all of his feelings out, and onto Snowstep's shoulders? Thawpelt looked at the light gray she-cat, and noticed that she hadn't said anything yet. Or had she? No, that couldn't be why. Thawpelt was convinced that doing that would have filled him with joy. But if that wasn't it, then what was it? Half way into his thoughts, Thawpelt noticed that he had been deaf to anything the other cats may have said in that moment. The Skyclan tom looked at each of the she-cat's faces, just in case he could catch them just closing their mouths from talking, or if they were still talking.

Snowstep was confused at why Rosefeather felt like ordering cats around today, but didn't say anything about it. "Do you want to go on the patrol with me, Fierceclaw?" she asked, not seeing many cats in the clearing. she knew that in a patrol there should be 3 or more cats, but she didn't want to ask Thawpelt... it would just seem weird after all their disputes for her to ask. she hoped she'll get away with going on a patrol with only 2 cats.
OOC: oh oh oh come on the patrol, Thawpelt! =P

OOC: Okay!
IC: Thawpelt instantly stood up to face the light gray she-cat when she asked if Fierceclaw would go on a partrol with her. "Well, if he is going, so am I!" Thawpelt snapped, before using a snow white paw to scoop dirt over his prey, which could hardly be called finished. As he did so, he couldn't help but throw a harsh look at Fierceclaw.

Snowstep never thought that Thawpelt will volunteer himself to go on a patrol, with HER and FIERCECLAW. she blinked with surprise but didn't send a retort back. One, because Rosefeather was right there. Two, there needed to be at least 3 cats in a patrol anyways. all she didnt was look at the odd coloured tom and wonder what he was up to.
"so you coming, Fierceclaw?" she asked again, turning her pretty green-blue eyes back to the black tom. her claws half dug into the ground from nervousness, and she couldn't help but catch a glimpse of Thawpelt out of the corner of her eyes.

((Alright, I'm going to say this once. Please, please, do not post out of line. Not only did that kill my responce, but it pushed my charrie out of the picture for longer than he'd stay out. Have some respect, okay?)
"Oh, I'm coming alright..." Fierceclaw's tone was low and had a piercing edge to it, his eyes darkening by the second. The 14 moon old tom whirled and shoved his nose into hers, hard, which would force her to either crouch down in what could be mistaken for a submissive stance, or take a step back, which could be mistaken for being cowardly. She had no other choices in the matter.
"And you, blasted she-cat, aren't anyone's momma around here." He snarled to her face in responce to how bossy she was, taking a step forward but allowing one of his hind legs to remain back, his tail low and lashing from side to side like a silent furry wip, "Why don't you make yourself useful and go find yourself someone a little less likely to embarress you to boss around." And without waiting for her responce, he turned, pacing back toward Snowstep and Thawpelt, muttering a loud, "Idiot!" As he did so.
"And isn't that a little over your head, genius?" He smirked faintly at Thawpelt as he passed. But he didn't slow down, not caring what Rosefeather was yelling or threatening him with. Did he know she was deputy? No. Would it had made any difference? None whatso ever. Unlike the other cats in this clan, Fierceclaw didn't have anything to loose. He didn't fear exile. He didn't belong here anyway...
((Not that Fierceclaw has any respect, but nobody cares what he thinks so, *clears throat* I'll try to be a little more active. Sorry 'bout that))

OOC: Oh, we/I weren’t'/wasn't trying to push your cat out. I tried to give plenty of room for Fierceclaw to talk in between what Thawpelt said/says. Like when I forget to post or something, and the talking had still continued, I kind of shove my cat's responses in between what the other cats said. Trust me, I/we wasn't/weren't trying to throw you into the dust or anything..... >_<"
IC: Thawpelt rolled his eyes and snorted at Fierceclaw's response. As the black tom tore out to the exit/entrance of the clearing, the oddly colored Thawpelt pounded out too. But suddenly Thawpelt stopped, and turned around to Snowstep. "Well, you started the patrol! Are you coming or not!?" as Thawpelt turned back around, and stalked off, he couldn't help but remember how he and Snowstep were when they were both apprentices. His words reminded him of what he would meow to Snowstep, when they were going in a patrol. But there was no flash of laughter in his eyes when he ended his words. His empty eyes were filled with anger and frustration once more. It was like Fierceclaw was becoming the new Snowstep. But then what would Snowstep become?

OOC: XP i wonder how Rosefeather will react.
IC: Snowstep looked to all three cats, her fur a little fluffed up and nervous about how Rosefeather will react to Fierceclaw's lack of respect. maybe he didn't know that she was the deputy... she should tell him. what if he gets in trouble? she hesitantly followed the two toms who looked like they wanted the tear out something, after meowing a quick goodbye to the Skyclan deputy. she didn't meow a retort back to Thawpelt this time, for her mind was totally confused by everything that was happening. she remembered how the brown tom's eyes shone with excitement and laughter every time he went on a patrol with her. although she never took it as anything or cared much, now she wondered where that light has gone.
as the three left the camp, Snowstep bounded up to the black tom. "That was the deputy you were yelling at!" she whispered in his ear, her voice quivering a little. she's never gotten into trouble before and wouldn't want to start now.
