Prey!

Hazelpaw swept into the marsh her tail waving. She was in a good mood, she had come back from Dawn Patrol with two mice and was very proud.
As she padded through the muddy, sticky pond banks. Then she heard a sound behind and a little to the left of her, it was a frog ribbit, and the animal was close. Hazelpaw crouched down and began to pin-point where the sounds were coming from. As she began to stalk the frog, some loud hisses and twigs breaking came from behind her.
The frog lept away, and even though Hazelpaw lept at it, her claws were empty. She turned, snarling, she was going to rip the cat who had cost her that prey to shreds.

OOC: hey do u mind if i join in? maybe later Pikeru would too! cause we were in another thread but my cat ran away. xP and she didn't reply... so I'll end up here LOL!

btw, just a note of the history of Smokepaw:
He and Pondpaw (Pikeru's char) have special powers granted by STarClan. it was for a past plot to defeat the tribe, but it kinda ended/got prosponed... but they still have the powers. also, they should have been made warriors quite a while ago, but that got prosponed too, so now they're "warrior sized" but still apprentices. Smokepaw (my char) has a power that is sort of... evil. he himself is a good cat, but sometimes he has trouble controlling this power. it's the power to take over another cat's soul. oh, and he could be pretty bad tempered. xP


IC: Smokepaw hissed loudly as he crashed through the tall grassy marshes, ignoring the pain as his pelt was scratched by branches and as he stepped on sharp rocks. None of that hurt as much as distrust from Pondpaw. He didn't even care about the loud noises he was causing anymore. Who would? Nobody in this world cared about him. Not even her anymore, as far as he knew. He coulnd't believe it; she was AFRAID of him! He couldn't stand this... all he wanted was for himself to disappear from this world and never feel this hurt again.

His strong muscles didn't even feel the least bit tired as he pushed himself on; he wondered if he could run like this forever and just forget it all. But his pelt was now red with blood leaking from all the scratches cause by thorns and branches that blocked his way, which he didn't bother to avoid. Physical pain was actually kind of a relief to him now.

With a frustrated grunt, Smokepaw broke through another barrier of thorns and brambles, and then, stopped. If he didn't, he would have crashed into someone. Who? He didn't know, and at that moment, didn't care. His eyes were pitch black right now, though they were usualy dark blue. It always became black when he was unable to control his powers. Which is why he wanted to stay away from every other cat possible. But suddenly, there was someone right in front of him, and he could feel that pull, that urge to use this power and take over this cat's body.

He was panting by now. Not from the long run he just had, but from the effort to control himself. He unsheathed his long claws and dug them into the ground from the effort. "Get... Away..." he grunted, closing his eyes and trying to focus on something else other than this new cat.


OOC: sry for the suddenness. xP i bet u were hoping for a "normal" RP, but unfortunately things can never be "normal" around Smokepaw! =O

OOC: Sorry for not posting back there. So we RPing here now? Okays! ^^

We doing a bit of back story now? YAY!!! XD Well, Pondpaw has the power of sight I guess. She can see things that are going on in a completely different area then her. Pondpaw is over all sweet and loving, though can be a bit sensative...well...REALLY sensative. She likes to follow Smokepaw around like a lost puppy when she has nothing else to do, because she views him as a big brother. (That may be why she is comically oblivious of Smokepaw's crush on her *snickers*)



IC: Pondpaw's heart seemed nonexistant as she bolted threw the undergrowth after Smokepaw. The silver-blue she-cat knew she was way to far behind to yell for him. Also she knew it may have fallen on deaf ears...or stubborn ones. The Waterclan apprentice stopped cold at a thron bush as the tang of fresh blood came to prick at her nose. Pondpaw gave a small gasp as she recognized it as Smokepaw's. This is my fault! Smokepaw is hurt and it is all my fault! I should have just said nothing and ignored the gripping feeling of his power... The she-cat's thoughts trailed off as she continued a bit slower this time. If she listened closely, the sounds of a cat rushing noiselly threw the bushes could be heard. "Smokepaw?" Pondpaw gasped, her emerald eyes trying to summon up the power of sight for assistance.

As the she-cat stepped padded threw a few more holes in bushes and under branches, she finally came across one last thorn bush. The scent of Smokepaw seemed to come strongest from the other side. Pondpaw felt her paws tingle with excitement as she pictured the tom's almost black pelt and dark blue eyes. Just as the she-cat was sticking out a silver-blue paw to step threw, a harsh grunt came. Get away? Pondpaw revoiced in her heads. Her heart felt like it had broken in two at these words. Did Smokepaw know she was here? Or was he talking to another cat? Instantly, Pondpaw silently clawed her way up the nearest tree, and inched out upon a low branch. Her silver-blue body shielded by the thick new-leaf leaves, the she-cat gazed down at the scene behind the bush. Her emerald eyes widened in alarm. Another apprentice was before Smokepaw...



OOC: Arg...a couple good minutes worth of typing turned into a few hours worth because of destractions. >_<" *sighs as cat gets in way of computer screen*

OOC: Where did u make ur siggy, Pikeru? I know how to use PhotoBucket, and thats where I made mine, but where did u do urs?

IC: Hazelpaw froze, the anger drained out of her like water off a waxy leaf. This wasn't some other apprentice she could yell at, it was Smokepaw, an older, grumpy apprentice. "Get... Away..." Hazelpaw heard him say in a sharp, tense voice, he look around then shut his eyes as if he was pretending she wasn't there.

Hazelpaw was surprised, then she was indignant. "I don't see why you can order me around!" she said angrily, her tail lashing out behind her.
"Just go away." Smokepaw said tensely, his eyes still shut tightly.
Suddenly Hazelpaw felt a wind rise up, her fur fluffed out to keep her warm. But this wasn't a normal wind, it had evil and un-heard of power written all over it.

OOC: hah u guys know, this power of Smokepaw's is kinda hard to describe. xP cause think about it, if he controls someone else by going into their body, then his OWN body will be useless, and i wouldn't want that. xP and if he DOESNT do that, then he must see through their eyes, or use telepathy or smth. @_@ weird.
i think ill just go with having him see through their eyes and control them like that, but like, can still be himself and stuff, tho that'll mean he'll have to MULTITASK loL! >.<

oh and remember, for some reason (maybe because Pondpaw has her own power too) that he is more in control around her. =D
(it's either in more control, or in LESS control and Pondpaw gets put into danger and then he tries to get away from her or find a way to lose his power. @_@ which one d'u think?)

oh and also, i might have to change (yeah in the middle of this rp) Smokepaw's name, cause there's a ceremony right now. =O

sry for not RPing right now, but i need suggestions before i settle this. xP

OOC: Oopse...sorry...>_<" Here is my oppinion;

1) You confused me on his power. I always veiwed it as, when he took over another cat, his original body would fall into a deep sleep until he was done. That way, if someone wakes him up from his "slumber", then hold over the other cat is broken, and he is in his body once more. So he is fully aware of what is happening to his other body while using his power.*shrugs* Though that is just how I viewed it.

2) Maybe they should still be apprentices for this thread, but any later thread they are in they are now warriors.

3) How about in more controll when Pondpaw(shine) is around, but in less controll when his emotions are all over the place? That was my brother's suggestion. <.<"
