OOC: Went with the "new plot" idea. =)
A white she-cat paused by a calm point in the river, staring at her reflection in the rippling waters. After a long moment of staring, the newcomer sighed, splashing her small paw to scatter the image of herself into fragments.
"I'm a Medicine Cat." Dawnflight mumbled to herself, narrowing her blue eyes as her reflection eventually reappeared as the water settled again. "And I know the Warrior Code. So why do I keep doing this?"
Her snowy ears flattened irritably. She should have expected this--what Clan wouldn't have it's own Medicine Cat? Why had she thought that she'd be able to pick her life back up from where she left off in a different Clan?
It's not like I haven't tried... Dawnflight thought, thinking back to all the other Clans she'd visited, and all the other leaders she'd spoken with... Her sweet face contorted into a wince. Well, at least the fact that she was a Medicine Cat had stopped them from attacking her.
"Why am I kidding myself?" Came her spoken thoughts, quiet enough that they barely broke the rush of the river. "Why would this Clan want the help of a strange Medicine Cat when they have their own?"

OOC: cool new plot! =D it woulda been way more interesting if i had a really good character to RP with in this clan... =S but i only have Brightstream currently available, and her past is kinda complicated. xP Ok, first, she's kind of betraying the clan by being part of the evil tribe! =O But so far not many cats know about it. she was a very nice she-cat before, but her shyness meant not many cats talked to her or cared, and she was ordered around a lot because she couldn't stand up for herself. so then she couldn't take it anymore, and was taken in by this tribe cat and she got training. training to kill. >=) LOL yeah it's more or a side plot now, but just to let u know. ^^ oh, and her actual name is Brightstream, but her tribe name is Fallen.
IC: A flash of silver passed by through the dense undergrowth just around the river. It was a silver and white she-cat. She was quite small looking despite her thick, glossy medium-long coat. Many would consider her very pretty, and she was, but now, if cats looked at her more closely, they wouldn't think that. No, not anymore. Not since many moons ago. Not since she was changed for the worst by a darker force.
Fallen slipped silently through the tall grass around the river, almost scent-less as, once again, she was halfway covered in mud. that was one way she learned to discuise her scent, thanks to the tribe of dark deaths. although she washed it off when she went back to camp so cats wont notice, she wore a layer of the dried mud on her every time she paid a visit to the Dark Marshes, where the tribe prowled. This way no cat would know. This was her dark secret won't be found out.
She was heading to the river to wash off this gunk, when she saw an unusual cat. She narrowed her eyes, which were once pretty but now sour and suspicious. The light blue orbs were tinted red around the edges. She couldn't quite pinpoint which clan this cat came from because of the strong scent of herbs clinging on this she-cat's pelt.
"Who are you?" she hissed, stepping out into the open, facing this newcomer. Fallen's pelt was bristling in hostility, which she wouldn't have had the courage or lack of sympathy to do before she joined the tribe, who trained her to become as heartless as rock. or, so they thought. "What're you doing on WAterClan territory?"

OOC: Wow, she sounds pretty complex! IC: Dawnflight's ears twitched at the sound of grass rustling, and her whole head turned to look for the cause. Her white ears lowered when she saw the cat, and she swiftly rose to her paws. "My name is Dawnflight." Replied the she-cat. Dawnflight dipped her head in greeting, keeping her tail lowered and her stance relaxed to show the other female that she was not hostile. The Medicine Cat's trained eye carefully took in the wild, raw look of the warrioress, but she didn't voice it when she spoke again. "I'm sorry." She meowed quietly, nodding once to break away from the glare of the silver and white she-cat. Her paws kneaded restlessly into the soft ground of the riverbank as she continued, "I know I'm intruding, but I came to speak with Froststar."

Lakeripple stepped out of the bushes. "Really?" she mewed, her blue-gray head thingyed. "I'm sorry, no one speaks to Froststar without my say-so. Anyway, at the moment Froststar is not at camp. I don't know when to expect her back." She narrowed her bright blue-green eyes. "So, is there an explanation?"
The deputy took in the white she-cat. Her gaze flicked to small red stains on the strange cat's paws, and her eyes widened. Juniper, she thought. "Excuse me," she said, looking back up. "Have you been using herbs recently?" the wheels in her head were turning. Nightmoon hadn't been seen for days, and Sunpaw had disappeared. There was no WaterClan medicine cat. Was it a coincidence that this cat with juniper stains not fully washed out of her paws had suddenly appeared?

For a second time, Dawnflight's ears pricked, and her gaze was drawn from the bristling warrior. This time the cat that emerged was a blue-gray she-cat, and by the way she spoke, Dawnflight immediately recognized her as the WaterClan deputy.
"Oh." Her hopeful expression disappeared, replaced by weariness as she apologized a second time. "I'm sorry."
Her pale blue eyes were drawn to the boggy ground while she tried think of an appropriate explanation that wouldn't get her chased out. Dawnflight felt the deputy's gaze, though, and her's was drawn back up, curious. She blinked at the new question and glanced at her paws, giving a mrrw of laughter when she noticed the stains. They were from days ago, but, in her rush to see the last Clan leader, she'd never remembered to wash them properly.
"Yes, actually." Dawnflight nodded, raising one of her paws to reveal the darkly stained pad. "I came across an old loner just a day or so ago. He had a bad stomach ache, so I recommended some juniper berries to soothe the pain." Lowering her paw, she inclined her head to the bright-eyed deputy and sat a little straighter. "I'm a Medicine Cat, you see."

OOC: let's make my cute little kitty sound more evil, shall we? ;P
IC: Fallen forced her bristling fur to lie flat. There was no use getting anything her way when the clan deputy is here anyways. Might as well act normal. She couldn't help but glare at the new she-cat though, especially when Lakeripple mentioned the cat's juniper-stained paws. Another medicine cat. Great... she scowled, then turned to lick her pelt down in case Lakeripple noticed her reaction to this she-cat. She hid it pretty well, but she coudln't help but feel a slight nervousness. She was the one who "got rid" of Waterclan's current medicine cats. with a lot of effort, too. But it was part of her mission. If the clan had no medicine cats, then it would have been much easier for the tribe to attack, and expect the clan to fall without being healed. A perfect plan. but now this.... NEW medicine cat comes along. Well, that's all ruined.
Fallen took a deep breath and put on her "mask" again. she was getting wonderful at acting normal; nobody would have noticed the difference except for her eyes and attitude when she's more or less alone. "Hello, Dawnflight" she meowed after dipping her head respectfully to Lakeripple, then facing the she-cat again. "I'm sorry about earlier," she made herself apologize, though in her head she hissed a NOT to herself. "I'm Brightstream."

"Brightstream, thank you for watching out for your Clan, but I can take it from here. It just so happens that our Medicine Cat, Nightmoon, has gone missing, and our apprentice Medicine Cat, Sunpaw never was found on her last time out. I will take you to see Froststar, if she ever comes back." Lakeripple sighed. It seemed that recently her leader was becoming harder and harder to find.

"That's alright," Dawnflight meowed, nodding to Brightstream, "You only wanted to make sure you're Clan was safe."
Then, the pale she-cat turned back to Lakeripple, her blue eyes wide with interest and ... hope? Yes, for the first time in a long while, she felt hopeful. Could things really work out so well after all?
"Thank you!" Dawnflight meowed, standing and blinking gratefully to the deputy. Her eyes narrowed though as her enthusiasm began to disappear, and her tail lowered at the mention of the missing Medicine Cats. By the way Lakeripple was talking, it was starting to sound as though cats from this Clan disappeared on a regular basis. "I'm sorry to hear that."

Lakestar stiffened. "Some cat has something against WaterClan, and Froststar has issued a sense of emergency. We are beginning to believe that a cat inside the Clan is behind it all." She shivered. It was a possibility, but she hated the thought of it.

Dawnflight's blue eyes widened, "That's awful!" The thought of a betrayal by a fellow Clanmate appalled the Medicine Cat. It could cause suspicion that would snap the lines of trust that allowed the Clan to function properly, and could ultimately end in false accusations and fighting... or worse.
"Do you have any ideas about who would want to cause WaterClan harm?" The white she-cat meowed, the tawny fur along her spine tingling.

"No none. Everyone is so loyal, especially Brightstream here. Always looking out for trouble." She let out a friendly purr.

Bobbing her head gently, Dawnflight settled back onto her haunches. Her eyes flicked between the deputy and the warrior, studying them curiously while her pelt began to fall flat again.
"Maybe it is a cat outside the Clan then." She meowed more quietly, with a bit of her old, more cheerful personality brushing against the surface of her words.

"Maybe, well, follow!" Lakeripple stood up and bounded in the direction of camp.

Dipping her head once again, Dawnflight quickly rose to her paws and bounded after Lakeripple, eager to glimpse the WaterClan camp.
OOC: Not much to write about. ^^'
