Foxcloud turned to Moonlitpaw with friendly eyes. "No and yes....." she answered normally, "Maybe we should leave Burningstar to his thoughts. I'm sure Starclan has told him much." Foxcloud purred to both Burningstar and Moonlitpaw. Foxcloud knew that deputy ceremonies were always filled with thought, and on top of that, Starclan must have told him much when he visited them. It was wise to let him think about what to say, and what had been said to him. The orange-red colored she-cat warrior nodded to her leader, and slowly made her way out of his den. The eyes of cats still watching intently.

Foxcloud looked over to Firemist, and gritted her teeth silently. Her dark yellow eyes then turned to Firemist. "For you.......I will come." The she-cat answered softly to the apprentice, all hint of anger had gone once she had turned to her.

Foxcloud only gave a small sigh, and started to slowly pad to were Firemist was. The ginger warrior could always just not talk to the mentor for the trip. That may save her of haveing to get into a fight.....

Burningstar's eyes caught the way Foxcloud and Firemist treated each other. though they were trying to be nice, he could see that there was something repeling the two from each other. he could feel envy from both of them.
not thinking much about that, the leader cleared his throat and stood tall, his dark ginger pelt silhouetted against the sun. "let all cats old enough to hunt meet here for a clan meeting!" he called out, his voice strong as the yowl was heard all across camp.

Darkpaw emerged from the Medicine cat den. She stretched her limbs, and joined the other cats.

Foxcloud gave a silent but long sigh so she could try and ignore what ever Firemist was doing. It worked, until Burningstar's strong voice boomed into her protective bubble. The dark ginger she-cat turned her gaze to the Fireclan leader, who hardly looked as if he had been sick just a couple heart-beats ago.

"You can go sniff his den yourself. It smells of greencough and medicine." Foxcloud whispered to Moonlitpaw, giveing the same sideways glance. Did Moonlitpaw not know? "He....lost a life. Every time a leader looses a life, the thing that caused the death is healed by Starclan. Sence Burningstar died greencough, Starclan cured that. So, Burningstar is now his good old self!" Foxcloud purred the last part happily. The red ginger she-cat loved nothing more then to see her leader fit and ready for the next challange....well....not nothing....there was Moonlitpaw.

Moonlitpaw gave a silent 'oh' to Foxcloud then looked back up at her leader. She privately hoped that it would either be Firemist or Foxcloud, so that they could prove their loyalty, but then again, it would spark even more jealousy between them.

"it's been long overdue for FireClan to appoint a new deputy," Burnignstar started, his eyes gravely watching all the cats in the clearing, remembering their past deputy. "I say these words before the spirit of Berryheart. May she hear of this and approve of my choice. The new deputy of FireClan would be..." he took a deep breath, and his bright green eyes turned onto both of the light ginger she-cats. there was a slight moment of silence and tension before he called out her name: "Foxcloud."
