Since Goleneye was in the lead, Battleheart in the middle, and Tigerfur and hisself was the rear, he took this as an opportunity to get close to her, closer than he had before. Nervously, he walked very close to Tigerfur until their fur was touching, then he entertwined his tail with hers. Before he knew it, the beautiful she-cat let out a rumbling purr, the loudest he has ever heard come from her. Not long after, he could see the ancient tree come into sight.

Goldeneye stopped a little distance before the whole group reached the tree, and turned back to catch sight of Swiftface and Tigerfur. they were so close... unfortunately that gave the deputy a pang of jealousy. he scented the air, then his sharp eyes turned to glance at the two again. they looked inseparable. he settled himself a little before turned back to the end of the group, giving Battleheart a respectful smile before passing him.
"Swiftface," he started, now almost soley acting like the deputy. "you're fast, and good at chasing squirrels. would you mind hunting over there?" he flickered his tail towards the part of the forest with large pines and swift traces of squirrels. Then he turned to Tigerfur, his eyes less hardened. "you, i heard, are a good hunter of mice and voles, am i right?" he asked, dismissing Swiftface with a sideways glance.
OOC: omg i've never made Goldeneye evil before! XP he sounds so mean, even i think so! *dies* please dont go against him, he's usually a nice cat. but i can't make him jealous without making him mean, right?

When the small group reached the sun tree, Battleheart looked around. He could smell some prey, but not a lot. At least they were hunting in the warmest part of LightningClan territory. It certainly wouldn't help any if they were going hunting somewhere.
He dipped his head toward Goldeneye when the deputy gave him a respectful glance. He felt uneasy sitting there in the middle of it all, though, with the other cats silently bickering like a group of elders when the apprentices come around.

OCC: Don't worry, my cats won't go against Goleneye.  BIC: Tigerfur saw the hard look that Goldeneye threw at Swiftface. She felt a bit uneasy, not only that she felt a pang of sadness when the tom left her side. She had enjoyed the touch of his fur against hers, and their tails being intertwined. She turned to the deputy and answered his question, "Yes, I am really good at hunting mice and voles." She patiently awaited his instructions. |

IC: Goldeneye couldn't help but feel the lump leave his throat as Swiftface left to hunt squirrels. he was glad Battleheart was here, because he was such an experienced warrior, but he wasn't about to ask him what he should instruct of his own hunting patrol. just hunt like usual... he wanted to persuade himself, but he knew he wanted to get to know Tigerfur better. so what can he do?
"um..." he started, knowing that he was simply being weird. "i'll hunt with you. i'm good with mice too," he stated, though he clearly knew he was better at catching birds. he flickered his tail to the medium part of the forest, covered with plenty brambles and thickets. then he nodded to Battleheart, for the senior warrior wasn't a cat he would like to "order around". he knew how it was important to be respectful.

Swiftface felt very resentful towards the deputy at the moment. He had seen the hard stare the brown tom had gave him. Not only that, but he felt uncomfortable without Tigerfur being by his side. They always hunted together, this would be the first time in moons since they hunted seperate. But that wasn't the only thing that botherd him, he felt Goldeneye might try to hunt with Tigerfur. All he could do was pray to StarClan that nothing special would happen between them.
Tigerfur felt a bit awkard to be hunting with the deputy instead of with Swiftface. But nontheless an order is an order, but she still felt upset. "Okay, lets go." She replied not enthustiastic at all, all of her eagerness gone.

Goldeneye heard the lack of enthusiasm in Tigerfur's voice, and his own disappeared to because of that reason. if he was going to make two cats unhappy for his own purpose, he might as well be exiled from this clan. he sighed and stopped in his tracks, and glanced over at Tigerfur with a slight longing, then over to Swiftface in walking in the distance. maybe he shouldn't be so selfish; what kind of a deputy is he?
"wait, Tigerfur." he meowed softly, a few tail lengths behind the pretty she-cat.

Goldeneye sighed loudly. maybe he should just let go. he still has his whole life ahead of him, and he could truly see how Swiftface meant to Tigerfur. "i changed my mind. i'll hunt here alone. you go chase squirrels with Swiftface," he meowed, a little hurt but confident in his words, and flickered his ear towards the pine trees. "besides, being by myself means that we won't scare all the prey away with the both of us there." although he tried to make it sound like nothing, he didn't feel that way. the only thing he hoped was that Tigerfur would be happy, even if it won't be with him.

Tigerfur's tail went straight up in the air and her eyes lit up. "Thanks Goleneye!" Tigerfur dashed off, but before she ran to the trees, she rushed over to Goldeneye and gave him a nice warm lick on the cheek. "I will always hold a special place in my heart for you, but only as a friend. I hope you understand." With that said she ran on towards Swiftface. "Wait up Swiftface!"
The red tom turned around in joy, knowing that sweet voice anywhere. "I thought I was to hunt alone."
Tigerfur stared into his eyes and replied, "Goldeneye said I could hunt with you."
Swiftface looked at the deputy and gave him a warm and grateful glance. Then before anything else could happen, he turned to Tigerfur. "Tigerfur, theres something i want to tell you, I-i love you."
Tigerfur's eyes lit up even more, "I love you too." she replied, all of the love within her voice. Then with that done, the two walked off together to hunt squirrels, fur brushing, and tails intertwined.
