As Moonpaw and Snowstep reached the rolling hills, Moonpaw could not wait to start her training session.

"Ok, this place will do" Snowstep stopped in an area where the grass wasn't too long, then turned to face Moonpaw. "Ok, i'll show u some defensive moves" she mewed. "Watch carefully.
Snowstep dropped onto her back and rolled backwards, ending up on her paws again. in the middle of it, she added a kick which would be good for use when attacked.
The move lasted for no more than a few heartbeats.
"Ok, you try it. remember not to be nervous and just go with the flow. when rolling, remember to keep ur paws in until u come up again. the kick is optional. without it, u can still defend urself by getting away from the enemy, but with it u can attack ur enemy back."

Watching Snowstep's move carefully, she began to form a picture of it in her mind. As it was her turn to do the moves, she took a deep breath. Ok, I can do this. Doing what her mentor did before, she began to roll backwawrds. Doing it carefully, she remembered to tuck in her paws. Yay, I did it. Then, determine to accomplish, she added a kick like what her mentor did. As she got up, her face glowed. Yay, I did it!!!

"good job, Moonpaw!" Snowstep beamed at her apprentice. she finished it with flying colors on her first try! "u'll make a great warrior when we finish our training" she purred.
"Ok, other moves." she sat down and thought for a while. "attack me" she mewed, standing up and facing her apprentice. "use any strategy, try to get me off my feet. remember to think logically and think of my weaknesses." she mewed and lowed her head, her four paws spread out for balance.

Moonpaw's face glowed when she heard her mentor's praise. "Are your sure? Ok, then." Within a heartbeat, she began to attack.

OOC: wow that was a lot of power play there... 0.o powerplay = no no! =S even though there r a lot of rules, this one usually annoyed people most: rping as someone else's character. there was a LOT of that in that last post! X.x stuff that I might not have wanted to happen to my own character... D=

OOC: oohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok! well, just say what u do, like 'moonpaw pounces onto Snowstep' or something like that. just dont make me do anything i dont rp about. XP like 'Snowstep falls and turns to dodge' XP
IC: Snowstep stood her ground as she watched her apprentice come at her. Until the last moment, right before Moonpaw got to her, she stepped away just in time to avoid the attack.

Snowstep's eyes followed Moonpaw's every move, and once again like the first time, she backed up to the left, away from the charging apprentice.
OOC: u can like still hit her but just not PLAY as snowstep. like, moonpaw quickly turned and pounced onto her or smth like that. XP lol

She could see her mentor moving to the left now. As she got quite close to Snowstep, she charged crookedly to the left and pounced on her mentor. *pounce*

Snowstep let out a quiet meow and landed on her back with her apprentice on top of her. "good job, moonpaw!" she praised her and got up, shaking dust off her pelt. "good thinking! animals like badgers will probably get defeated, but u have much more to learn before u can fend off a warrior" she nodded, speaking with a serious tone, yet a happy shine was in her eyes.

Snowstep looked up at the sun. "it's almost time to go back, but we could hunt on our way back to camp" she nodded and flickered her ears to all the sounds of prey.
