Although Smokepaw's excitement felt like it was about to burst, he made himself slow down when he was in view of the river. it was actually his first time here; he used his nose to scent out the large body of water, and Honeydew's scent.
"I'm here," he meowed and sat down in front of his new mentor. he was ready for his first training.

"What we are going to learn today is to fish and swim! this should be really fun! now put your paw in the river,"said Honeydew.
Honeydew was less enthusicathic then usual because she had heard bad things about smokepaw. She heard that when he was a kit he wouldn't want to play with the other kits. But even if that was true Smokepaw could have a good person hiding inside.
ooc: sorry I'm really new at this stuff! I hope I spelled everything alright!

Smokepaw grunted in reply again and slowly went up to the river, looking down to it. he stuck his paw in the water and supressed a shudder from the coldness of the morning river. then he turned and glared at Honeydew, waiting for his next instruction without saying a word.

honeydew then said 'i know the water is a little cold.you'll get used to it.Okay when you see a fish coming get ready.when you feel it on your claws throw it on the ground.It's okay if you don't get it this time.It took me 4 tries to get one.you ready?"

Smokepaw nodded without replying, and turned his attention to the swift moving water. his dark blue eyes dashed back and forth, trying to catch sight of a fish swimming close enough to his motionless paw, ready to strike.
suddenly, like a StarClan spirit was with him, Smokepaw swiped his claws as fast as the water itself and a fish fell beside him on the land, wriggling around helplessly. he was actually surprised that he caught a fish on his first try, though he didn't show it.

Smokepaw smiled to himself, but he was too proud. the second time he tried he didn't catch a thing. hating himself for being so useless, he hissed clawed the water so hard all the fish in sight disappeared like shadows.
OOC: cats kill fish by biting into them, the way they do to mice and voles and such. =3

OOC: little carried away with what? 0.o if it's the length of the RP, i like it! the longer, the better! (unless it's a whole page of course! XP)
IC: Smokepaw growled to himself, then followed Honeydew into the water. deep inside he was really excited; finally he was going to learn how to swim. being a WaterClan cat, swimming was their pride.
as he was told, the apprentice waded until the river got deeper, then although his heart skipped beat from the surprise, he moved his back and front paws as fast as he could. he was barely able to keep his head above water though... so he started to panic...

he nodded and kept going, trying to stay calm and keep breathing normally, though now his breaths are coming in short gasps. the pressure was different than on land... if felt like his lungs were being squashed in a tight space.
unable to take it anymore, Smokepaw hurried on land, shaking with his fur splattered on his body. there was a fear in his eyes... one that he would have to face.
OOC: to make training more interesting, how about Smokepaw have fright of water and HOneydew try to get him to face his fears? that'll be different than the normal and boring trainings! =3

ooc:its going to be weird having a riverclan cat afraid of water!But okay!
IC:Honeydew could smell the fear coming off of smokepaw.Why would he be afarid of water and he's so sharp tongued?She would have called it a day but he had to fce his fears head on if he was going to get over it.when honeydew got there she said"don't be afarid I'm right here clam down breathe in even beats"

ooc:sorry! I'm really out of it today!I asked my friend what class she had and we're in the same class!
Honey dew was very shocked to have smokepaw run off on her.But maybe she did too much too fast.She went for another swim in the river then went back to camp.
