As Spottednose approached the fence she could see Prettie nearby. Running to Prettie, with Snowstep behind, she yelled to her excitedly "Over here, Prettie, over here"

Snowstep followed closely behind Spottednose out of SkyClan territory and onto twoleg lands. she remembered the first time when she was here, when she met Rascal... such fond memories.
out of the corner of her eyes, the warrior saw movements of cream colored fur inside the twoleg den.
Prettie heard Spottednose's meow and gave Miranda a lick before padding out of the house towards her friend, her tail fluffed up in glee. "hi spottednose!" she purred, then crouched on the fence. "who are you?" she asked, thingying her head at the grey she-cat. for some reason she looked a bit familiar.
"hi, i'm Snowstep" she told the young cat. then there was an awkward silence.

Spottednose smiled. "Long time no see Prettie. I brought another friend for company, that way, it'll be more fun. Snowstep was suppose to bring another kittypet, but he couldn't make it. So how are you?"

"im fine" Prettie paused for a moment, studying Snowstep. "who's the other kittypet?" she asked, her eyes turning to slits.
Snowstep blinked. is she the little kit Rascal was worrying about?

"um..."Snowstep looked at Prettie. "Rascal"
suddenly, Prettie's expression changed from suspision to anger. "YOU! you were the one who took him away!" she jumped down from the fence and spoke to Snowstep face to face, barely a tailength away. "don't you know how much our owner is worried? she couldnt even sleep, and is always out looking for him! it's all ur fault!"

UH Oh!!! She tried to calm down Prettie. "Ok, Prettie, now calm down and take a deep breathe, there must have been some mistake. Right Snowstep?"

Snowstep blinked, her eyes wide and her fur prickling at what she might have really done. "i'm sorry but i didnt make him join SkyClan!" she mewed, worried.
Prettie paused a little, still angry and with tears in her eyes. "i dont care... look what has become of Miranda..."

"Oh, Prettie, don't cry, at least you know where Rascal is right? Maybe you should bring Rascal with you next time then, Snowstep. Then you could talk to him about it, ok Prettie?"

Prettie nodded and sniffed, wiping her tears with a paw. "please" she mewed and hurried back home.
Snowstep looked on as the small kitten left, hoping that she hadn't made a big mistake.

Spottednose sighed. This isn't good. "I thought this was going to be a fun but it seems like I am wrong. Let's go back then. I'll come visit her again someday. Well, don't forget to tell Rascal about this."

Snowstep nodded and with a last look she padded off beside Spottednose until they reached the border. "ok, i should be going now anyways. thanks for inviting me. see you later" she mewed, then headed off into her own territory.
