Bright green eyes reflected in the water below Rosefeather. Everything else was blurry. Her whiskers twitched in grim amusement. The days had become hot and sticky, and the SkyClan deputy found little escape from reality except here, in the Lake of Stars. It was here she could truly hear the wind move the trees, it was here she could truly scent the rich smells of the earth, it was here that Rosefeather could truly be alive.
