Talonpaw led the way into his camp, the Fireclan warrior close behind.
"Autmnsong?" he called into the warrior's den, where his mentor was asleep.

Autumnsong stirred in her sleep. She was fighting, fighting fire. the flames licked at her paws, singeing her fur, dancing and taunting her. She hissed and spat, but the fire grew closer, bigger... her whiskers were singed. the grass burst like tiny wicks leading straight to her paws...
"Autumnsong?"
She woke with a gasp. Her moss den was ripped and torn from her squirming in her nightmare. Her breathing slowed, the smell of fire still lingering in her nose...
fire...
fireclan!
She shot up. she could smell fireclan. Thery were here, they were in camp! She burst out of the den, seeing her apprentice with a fireclan cat behind him. She swept him behind her, out of danger. She hissed at the intruder, eyes flickering to the leader's den.
"Why are you here?" She hissed loudly, hoping other warriors would hear. What if there were reinforcements? Why was Talonpaw with a Fireclan warrior?

Talonpaw's fur bristled. He had almost forgotten that FireClan and SkyClan were on the brink of all out war.
"It's ok, Autmnsong, Sharpclaw asked me to help train his apprentice, Ninjapaw. I met Ninjapaw at gatherings, and he was my freind, so I agreed. He's here peacefully to talk with you."
"You are Talonpaw's mentor?" Sharplcaw mewed questioningly.

The skyclan warrior bristled, looking from her apprentice to the intruder. All seemed well... but with tensions so incredibly high between the two clans, who knew? this could be a trap. she needed to keep her nerve, and her guard.
"Talonpaw, you can't just bring a cat from another clan into camp without some sort of permission or forewarning." She said, quietly but sternly. "But, at least you know this cat. Just... be careful. I don't want anything to happen to you, kid."
Hoping she got her message through for the moment, she turned to the other cat. they were Fireclan, but she decided to be accomidating. no need for him to return with news of how rude she had been.
"Yes, I am his mentor." She said, her voice calm. she stood tall,though her tail still twitched in anticipation. had Talonpaw done something wrong? had he done something right? she fought the urge to blurt 'what about it?'

Sharpclaw looked pleased, different from his hostile look, he's trying to look peaceful....
"When our apprentices trained by the border, I noticed Ninjapaw had a hard time keeping up..."
Sharpclaw was amazed that SkyClan wasn't totally worthless.....
"I beleve he would make a good warrior. I should be going, I wouldn't want to stay.... with the tensions running high... farewell you two, i'll be heading home, I don't like this territory much." *The last part was murmured under his breath.* With that, the FireClan warrior turned and left, leaving Talonpaw and Autmnsong in shock.

Autumnsong watched the Fireclan warrior go, rather surprised. Warriors from other clans had never, to her knoledge, come into a rival clan to comment on an apprentice's performance.
What the Demonclan was going on here?
She looked down at her apprentice, her confusion clear on her face. Something was nagging at her mind, something important....
An escort. That was it.
"Wait!" She called, breaking into a sudden run to catch up with the Fireclan cat. "Let me escort you to the border." She meowed. But the way she said it made it clear that there was no room for negotiation. She wouldn't let any funnybuisness happen on her watch. She turned back to where Talonpaw was. "You want to come, Talonpaw?" She asked.

Talonpaw's ears perked at his mentor's call.
"Yes Autmnsong! I've been itching to run!"
With that, the tabby apprentice chased after Sharpclaw.

Autumnsong gave her apprentice a small smile. She knew she should be reprimanding him for bringing a possibly manipulative or dangerous Fireclan cat into camp, but she couldn't bring herself to do so any further.
They ran in silence for a little ways, and then suddenly the fireclan border was apon them. Autumnsong was careful not to cross the invisible border, but turned to the Fireclan cat.
"Here you are." She said. She opened her mouth to say some sort of thanks, but for what? for coming into camp unannounced? for taking the risk of getting his pelt clawed off by anyone else who would have caught him? Feeling stupid, she clamped her jaws shut, offering the cat a nod instead, hoping he got the message of thanks.

Sharpclaw beamed his thanks back with a blink and a wave of his tail and vanished into FireClan territory, his pelt blending into the shadows.
