(a RP for my character nightpaw's joining skyclan. her name untill she joins the clan in this RP is Night, later Nightpaw)
Night stood at the place where the twoleg fence curved away, leaving only openness before her. to the right, tall wooden fence. to the left, an endless forest. her brother had gone into the forest long ago, when the sun was high in the sky.
Night hesitated, then bounded off, not into the forest, but along its edge, not yet going into the trees. she ran effortlessly, keeping the forest to her left, the trees passing in a blurr of dark brown. the stars made her black coat shine, and reflected in her purple eyes.
she saw something on the horizon, and ran towards it. as she got closer, her curiosity grew. it looked like a patch of the sky had fallen to the ground.
Night stopped at the edge of the sky-patch. she tentitively reached out, poking it with one paw. she yelped, jumping back and shaking her wet paw. ripples ran across the lake's surface, warping the reflection of the stars.
"a lake of stars" she murmured to herself. she looked up, and froze.
there was a cat on the other shore.

Galaxyshadow stood on the other side of the lake, his blue eyes distant as he gazed into the starry lake. He was thinking of Dawnstar, as he usually did this time of night. He sighed, the moon's silvery beam turning his white fur the same color as the light in which he sat. The air was cool and calm, and a trace of a breeze blew past him- He stiffened, the strange scent of an unfamiliar cat reaching his sensitive nose. His fur rose and he leapt to his paws, shooting away to the source of the strange smell. His blue eyes radiated fury at this intrusion and his paws carried him swiftly through the lands he'd known since kithood. It didn't take him long to arrive at roughly the place where Night stood, the ripples from her paw still fanning out towards the lake's calm center. "Who's there?" Galaxyshadow hissed, his teeth bared in a feral snarl. He couldn't see Night because of her pelt, but he could smell her and sense her fear. "Who're you?" The white tom repeated, stepping closer and closer, "And what are you doing, intruding on Skyclan territory?"

Night froze, knowing that it would be nearly impossible for the other cat to see her with her dark pelt. she could see the other cat though, and could see the ferocity in her blue eyes.
Skyclan... that was what the cat had said. she remembered what her mother had told her about Skyclan. not usually violent unless needed, very accepting.
"I mean you no harm," she called, prayiing the other cat believed her. "Im looking for a home, no a fight."

Galaxyshadow stopped, startled. "You're looking for a home. Well then, show yourself." he said gruffly, letting his fur lay flat against his shoulders. "What's your name?" He asked, trying to act more friendly...

Night saw the cats attempt to be friendly and smiled. for a moment she'd been worried that she would be chased out of the territory.
"My name's Night." she padded up directly in front of the strange cat. "And I'm right here."

Galaxyshadow found himself staring down at a small cat, about the age of an apprentice. The first thing he noticed, were her eyes, like glimmering amethyst stars in a starless night. " Night..." he meowed. "That name fits you for sure." He meowed. "Why do you want to join Skyclan, little one?" HE asked, his voice much kinder and calmer now. His bushy tail flicked, sending a few stray leaves on the ground flying. Somewhere, an owl hooted, but Galaxyshadow barely noticed it..

Night looked up at the cat. he was being kind to her, and that was new. in the twolegplace, other cats were always fighting over food. either taking it from her or keeping her from it.
"My mother told me about the forest clans. she spoke of Skyclan with great respect and awe. she told me that if anything were to happen to her, i was to try to come here." she lowered her gaze, thinking of her mother. "I put off coming here because of my brother, but he left me, so i decided that i would have a better life in Skyclan than in Twolegplace."

Dreampaw was as out of it as ever. She kept seeing the calico pelt and the deep blue eyes. The gentle caressing scent of mud would drift over her nose occasionally. Dreampaw just wanted to fall into it. It was just like heaven. Only Dreampaw envisioned this as much better then Starclan. She might have to be up there without that scent. I don't think I could handle that, I can barely go the day without him... Dreampaw thought.
As usual her head was in the clouds, so she didn't scent the strange one mingling with her clan. Dreampaw's metallic blue eyes also didn't see the strange cat in front of her. "Ouff!" Dreampaw grunted as she collided with the cat. "Sorry." Dreampaw turned to sulk off in a different direction. She missed Flashpaw with a passion. She wanted to be with him so terribly...

Night turned slightly, looking in confusion at the cat that had bumped into her. Night could see in her greyish-blue eyes that her mind was elsewhere. but still, this cat didn't even seem to mind that there was a stranger in her midst. Night wondered how long it would take her to notice, and decided to speak up in hopes to snap the other cat out of her daze.
"Uh, no problem?" she mewed, loud enough for the other cat to hear.
