{STORMWHISTLER} Stormwhistler emerged from the warriors den, and padded towards the fresh-kill pile. Even though the tom had just finished with a nap, he was still tired. Both emotionally and physically, he just had another nightmare. It was one where he lost his one and only daughter Smallpaw. He tried to shake off his thoughts, and concentrated on choosing a piece of prey from the pile. He found a decent mouse for hisself, and padded towards a quiet and solitary spot on the edge of the clearing. But once he was settled, he started brooding again.

Moonlitice was running away. The scene out in the territory sickened her, she had seen it far to many times. It made her want to cry. Yes, Foxcloud and Firemist were fighting. Again.
She slowed so as to not burst into the camp like the whole of EarthClan was after her. Licking her caramel-and-chocolate tabby fur down, she peered into the camp. It was pretty empty. Good, peaceful.
Sighing, she stepped toward the fresh-kill pile. Picking up a thrush and falling deep into thought, she started walking toward a secluded spot she had often inhabited. Neither Foxcloud nor Firemist had ever found her there, and though she loved both of them, she couldn't stand the sight of either right now.
She tripped over something. Glancing down, she realized it was a tom, and blinked to clear her head and see just who it was. Stormwhistler, of course. She nodded pleasantly, trying not to show that she was upset. "Hello Stormwhistler," she mewed.

{STORMWHISTLER} Stormwhistler was so lost in his brooding, that he hardly even noticed when a cat tripped over him. The only thing that broke him out of his dard mood was the voice of said cat. He looked up into the light amber eyes of Moonlitice. He really didn't feel like socializing right now, but it was probaly for the better. He didn't want to turn back to his brooding thoughts of Ocarinavoice and Smallpaw. Hello Moonlitice. How are You?

Moonlitice was smiling, but the smile slipped when Stormwhistler asked the question. How are you? Of course he'd ask that, everyone always does. But she quickly put her smile back on. "Well. And you?" Her tail flicked nervously, she was talking to someone other than Foxcloud, Firemist, or Shadowfire. This was dangerous waters, though it wasn't like being around Foxcloud wasn't dangerous. If she had been anyone else... it would be suicidal. She shook her head to clear it of these thoughts and looked stubbornly at some leaves, waiting for her answer.

{STORMWHISTLER} Stormwhistler narrowed his eyes briefly in suspicion. He could tell that Moonlitice wasn't doing 'well' when the smile had slipped off her face. But he quickly shrugged it off, if she didn't want to tell him what was wrong then that was perfectly fine with him. It was none of his buisness anyway. I'm doing okay. There is no need to lie, you can say that your having a bad day. I'm pretty sure every cat has one every once in a while. Just because Stormwhistler was going to accept the fact that Moonlitice was lieing, didn't mean he would let her get away with it.

Moonlitice stared down at Stormwhistler with frustration. She-cats had always gone after him like he was the last tom on earth... and for what? This? He was being pretty nasty in her opinion.
But he was right. Even if she didn't want to believe it. Yet there was one part he had gotten wrong... "A bad day? Try a bad life" With those words she plopped right down where she had stood and glared at the leaves heatedly.

{STORMWHISTLER} Hot white anger flashed through Stormwhistler as he let out a cynical snort at Moonlitice's comment. He felt like his life was beyond bad. You think you've had a bad life? You have no idea what I've been through, what I'm still going through. Stromwhistler turned to his mouse and started to tear angrily into it.

Moonlitice sneered, her eyes flashing. "Let me guess, someone close to you died. Been there, done that, three times. Whoever you're still close to either you can't see or when you do, something always goes wrong. Been there, still there, and it doesn't look like it's letting up anytime soon." Glowering, Moonlitice stared at Stormwhistler. "And when the day is done, you feel like it is all your fault, like you're the reason everything goes wrong." She looked heatedly at the tom. "Did I touch on anything?"

{STORMWHISTLER} Stormwhistler let out a snarl so fierce that words couldn't even be distinguished. He adruptly got up, then turned his back towards Moonlitice, and tried his hardest to pretend she wasn't there. He wasn't really angry at her, the she-cat was completely right. And he was angry because he did blame hisself. Okay, so she's experienced the death of cats close to her, but did she understand what it was like to lose cat you loved? And the only thing that resembled the love that they both once had was in another Clan? Stormwhistler didn't know Moonlitice well, and her guesses were spot on, but he doubted that she would understand. The tom held back a wail of grief as his despair for the things he lost almost overwhelmed him.

Moonlitice stared at Stormwhistler without pity. Whatever he was wailing about was no concern of hers, it was his own fault that he had decided to go poking his nose into her business. The she-cat had a talent for telling it as she saw it, but in this case she had lived it. And it didn’t matter if he was hurting because of it.
She wrapped her tail around her paws angrily. All her friends her own age that when she talked to them they didn’t end up with claws out at each, they were all in different Clans. Toxicfang, Wolfstorm, Nightshadow, Fuzeshock… those cats she had rescued from the twolegs when they had all been apprentices, none of them were in FireClan. And the knowledge ate her up inside because she somehow thought it was her fault. How could Stormwhistler ever understand that?
She stared at him, refusing to look at her, and felt anger prick her paws. Now what had she done to make him act this way? Had she made him angry? No, she bet that she had been right. A thin smile pricked at her lips, but it didn’t break into a grin. She was right.

{STORMWHISTLER} Stormwhistler looked back towards where Moonlitice was, to see if she left. But she was still there, and she had a smug smile on her face. He felt anger flash through him again, but this time, instead of acting like a kit throwing a temper tantrum, he spoke. His voice wasn't friendly at all though, it was as cold as ice. I don't know why your over there smiling like you know everything. Being right about a cat dieing isn't exactly something to be proud of. Especially if that cat was once loved, and cared about deeply. Once Stormwhistler was done speaking, he finished off his mouth and started grooming hisself. He sat on his haunches, closed his eyes, and started from the base of his tail and making his way up.

Moonlitice fought a growl that threatened to emerge. Her amber eyes narrowed dangerously. Smug? No, she was just glad that after being so rude to her, so had proved not to be insolent. Her tail twitched. What was the matter with him?
She knew that her glare was more heated than need be, but Moonlitice didn't care. It didn't matter, he had crossed a line. Breathing deeply to try and keep calm, the young warrior dug her claws into the ground.
"Loved and cared for deeply? Stormwhistler, I have lost every member of my family. I don't care if you think that I am some insolent young cat who isn't to be bothered with, I know more about what you are explaining than you could ever know. You say your life is bad. I feel like I am the center of a line, continuously tugged either way, threatening to burst. And the two tuggers don't realize anything. Stormwhistler, trust me, I know things. Don't try and pretend otherwise."

{STORMWHISTLER} Stormwhistler stopped grooming hisself, and opened his eyes. He bared his teeth at Moonlitice, but his voice was calm and steady as he replied. Losing your family is different from losing a cat you love. You may seem to know more than most cats your age, but you still don't understand. You may feel like your the center of a line being continuously tugged, but do you ever question why your still here? Do you ever question what the point of your existence is? Do you feelf so much pain in this life, that it feels like your willing and ready to join StarClan? But yet you can't, for there is one thing thats bounding you to this earth. And there are times when you can't decide whether that something brings more joy, or more sorrow. Stormwhistler stopped himself, before he ended up revealing anymore than he needed, or wanted to. His breathing had became a little ragged during his little speech. He started taking deep camling breaths to calm hisself down.

OOC: Who should fall for who first?
Moonlitice held back her anger. Loosing her family wasn't the same as loosing a loved one? Was he saying that she hadn't loved her parents? That she hadn't loved Smallkit? Her tail whipped around in frustration. What sort of bees were rattling around in his deranged head?
"Do I question why I'm still here? Of course! I wonder why StarClan hates me so that they force me to stay here! I would do anything for a peaceful life, or even a peaceful death. But I can't bring myself to suicide and still the torture goes on." Her amber eyes blazed with anger. "Is there something binding me here, a reason why I won't get rid of my own misery? Yes. Three things. The two ends of the line and my loyalty to the Clan. And yes, I wonder sometimes weather those things bring more happiness or sorrow. Do I ever get an answer? NO!"
A single tear came from Moonlitice's left eye, but she ignored it. Why was he asking her this? All she wanted was her spot back.

OCC: I think that Moonlitice should fall first, if thats okay with you! ;D I say that, because even though Ocainavoice is dead, he's still harboring feelings for her. BIC: {STORMWHISTLER} Stormwhistler shook his head in dissapointment at Moonlitice. She still didn't understand. He decided not to say anything, he didn't want to argue any further with her. He was about to get up to give her some spack, but then he spotted her tear. Stormwhistler felt guilt surge through him. Just because he was brooding and depressed earlier, didn't mean he had to make every other cat like that. He padded over to Moonlitice, and with a bit of hesitation, he used his tail to catch the salty drop of water. I'm sorry if anything that I have said may have upsetted you. Are you all right? Stormwhistler gazed at Moonlitice with the concern from one Clanmate to another.

OOC: Of course, that's why I asked!
Moonlitice noticed that he was about to leave, but instead of feeling happy that he had finally gotten the picture, that he was being rude and cruel and stupid, she felt a surge of longing. Here was an uncontaminated cat, someone who she had hardly talked to before, someone not filled to the brim with the fight, and she had driven him away. Why? Why did this always happen?
But then he stopped. He caught her tear. She froze. Stormwhistler was being nice to her? But everyone knew that he was just a brooding tom that had grown up faster than possible. She stared at him, stunned into silence. He really was handsome. But still, he was probably just being nice because he thought he had made her cry. And he had. He should feel bad.
"No," Moonlitice whispered. "I haven't been all right since I was three moons old."
