Dovepaw sat in a shaded area of camp, trying to keep cool. The heat was unbearable almost - at least to her. She gave a sigh, standing up, I just need to find some water... a thought clicked in Dovepaw's mind though before she could even move. A flash of Crowpaw going into her mind. Dovepaw forced it to melt away, No. He's just a friend. That's what he asked me to be when I left Waterclan territory right? she whispered to herself. Dovepaw gritted her teeth, I also need to stop talking to myself. she thought.
Starpaw. Dovepaw said happily, Yeah I can go see Starpaw. Maybe she knows where to find good w-water. her mouth becoming dry on the word again, It doesn't matter. Just forget about it. It's just water. she thought. Dovepaw set out to find her friend. Wincing as she walked across the camp; Why does the ground have to be so hot during the day? Dovepaw cursed in her head.

(Yeah, I did ask that! ^^ You remembered right! Thankies moony!! and hey ,unneeded details are fun! ^^)
Starpaw grimaced. Sooo hot. She was immensely grateful for her somewhat short fur, and the fact that she didn't have black fur. Those who did must be suffering alot...She shook her head, unwilling to move from her spot in the shade. But then a white cat walked past and she shot like a rocket from underneath the tree's welcoming branches. "Dovepaw! I've been looking for you for ages! I thought you might have gotten lost in the territory or something." She meowed, her bi colored eyes shining. She'd missed talking to her friend terribly. She seemed to be the only friend she had.

Dovepaw smiled warmly at Starpaw, Umm.. she began. It was kinda true she got 'lost' in the territory. Dovepaw looked around for an excuse, I was just uh..looking for Silentpaw. Dovepaw ended somewhat truthfully. She didn't mention at all about Crowpaw, I was wondering if you knew of any streams around here. Dovepaw looked over Starpaw, You seem in need of water yourself. she added smiling.

Starpaw's cheerful face turned to one of sorrow. "I don't think you're going to find him Dovepaw..." She meowed, sorrow for her friend shining in her eyes. "He's been gone too long.. Who knows what could have happened to him? Perhaps he joined the rogues?" SHe shook her head. "I know you don't want to give up on him, but....do you still honestly think he's going to come back? Ah, listen to me...I'm bringing up unwanted things. yeah, there's water not too far from here. Thank goodness. It's hotter than ever.. I know we're Fireclan and all, but... we can't stand uber high temperatures either." She rolled her eyes...

Dovepaw winced on Starpaw's words while she spoke while walking. Maybe Starpaw had a point; it had been a while. But why leave without saying anything? Dovepaw felt pain in her heart; she had feelings for Silentpaw. And now they were all gone - blowing into the wind. Dovepaw sighed, thinking about Crowpaw without knowing it. His words were still strange to her after crossing the border back home..Maybe. Maybe Dovepaw was putting her heart to another cat? No that was silly; Crowpaw was in another clan - she couldn't possibly-...

Starpaw prodded Dovepaw with a snowy paw. "Hey, you still there? Your mumbling." She meowed, a little concerned. "You okay? Yeesh, the heat must be getting to you. I know it's getting to me..." Her ears perked up as the sweet scent of water reached her nose. "Yes! It's just up ahead, Dovepaw. Relief, sweet relief!" She yowled, pelting towards the lazy river..

Dovepaw blinked a few times refocusing her eyes, pushing away everything that dealt with Waterclan away, Y-Yeah I'm fine. she looked around, Starpaw? then realized that her friend pelted towards the river. Dovepaw fast walked her way over, How can you run in this heat? she asked joking. Dovepaw stared at the water, sitting down looking at her reflection, H-hey Starpaw?

Dovepaw stared at the ground, trying to chose the right words. Um..what do you do..if you're doing something wrong for your clan - and your not trying to. And you don't want to give it up? Dovepaw stuttered her words out, her tail doing circular motion of the waters surface, staring at the ripples.

Dovepaw's eyes widened, I-I never said myself! she said startled, taking her tail back, and going away from the water - even if it did look pleasing, I-I just .. well ...yeah..But well..YOU KNOW. Dovepaw said stuttering, hoping Starpaw would understand.

"Hey, calm down, I only used the word 'you' as a general term," She meowed quickly, though her suspicions were starting to whisper. Starpaw waded into the waters, letting the cool clear water run over her paws. "Let's see..." she meowed thoughtfully, eyes closing in pleasure from the cold water. "If I were that cat....I think I would pursue it a bit longer, just because I'm curious and if I like it, and it doesn't harm me or the clan, then..." She shrugged. "But I obviously wouldn't do it for long. I'd feel guilty. You know me, I can't say a lie without blabbing my apologies merely seconds later." She gave Dovepaw a wry look. "So.....could.... I ask why? Did another cat ask you for help and you not really know what to say?" She asked, Or, she added in thought, are you the one that's going through this?
