ShadowDeath skidded to a halt as she reached the fields of gold. Quickly she ripped out the bur that had stuck in her fur in her journey as a few clumps of fur fell out. Sitting down she decided to wait for her friends before she started hunting.

Silversong followed ShadowDeath carefully, her long legs pumping tirelessly. It was still such a gorgeous day, but even if it hadn't been, nothing could have put a damper on her mood. It was impossible. Hunting out, life being good, everything was in its place.

ShadowDeath purred seeing that Silversong had followed her so quickly, "I won." she teased lightly as she washed her ear, "Where's Tigerfur?" she asked as she looked around.

Silversong rolled her eyes laughingly. "I'm not a sprinter!" she protested, her voice thick with false protest. "As for Tigerfur..." she looked around, and, not seeing her friend, she laughed. "She's being slow!"

ShadowDeath purred in amusment, "Slow as an old vole!" she chuckled before her right ear twitched, "Shhh."Crouching down she carefully stalked the mouse that was nibbling at a seed she pounced and came up victorious with her prey, "Yes!!" she announced.

TIGERFUR Tigerfur finally caught up with her friends, holding a vole in her jaws. Once she made it to them, she put the vole down and was panting heavily. Sorry it took so long. I spotted this vole, and the chance was just to good to pass up for me to catch it.

Silversong only twitched her tail in reply, having spotted a thrush. The dumb bird was pecking seeds at the base of a blade of grass, almost too easy. Without a mighty bound of her powerful legs, Silversong landed on top of the bird and caught it between her claws, finishing it off before it could sound an alarm call. It was a juicy one, she could taste the warm meat. Shaking her head, Silversong returned to Tigerfur and ShadowDeath, triumphant.
