m e l o d y_______&&
Do you remember the time When we first met?
Paws hit the ground softly, there almost wasn't a sound to be heard, as a femme wandered through the forest, heading toward the place that was dear to her hear, it was like a part of her. Her mind was working fast, images of his face popping into her mind--his eyes. The emotions stirring inside made her heart ache with a pain that caused her to catch her breath. Then she felt weightless, each step she took felt she was floating above the ground. Why? Why did it have to happen to her? Head twisted from left to right, searching through the trees, hoping, praying, that maybe he would appear magically right by her side. Biting her lip, she had to shake her head. That was hopeless. He wouldn't show up. She had left, or should I daresay disappeared from the clans, tired of the clan life...somewhat tired of the clan life. She wanted to do something amazing, see the world--or at least see something from the usual forest and fields. And she did, though she really didn't want to remember the past. The femme decided to come back and see if everything was the same, or things had changed. Live for the present. That was her motto, yet there was someone that from her pas that lingered in the back of her mind and she couldn't get rid of him. He was like a bur stuck to the fur of her pelt. "Why?" The thought always nagged at her, bit down on her tail and made her open her eyes wide to reality and what could have been. I don't think about what could have been...I think about the now. Melodyecho thought in despair, her tail waving back and forth, frantically. Inhaling a deep breath, she pushed onward to her destination, her mind and heart rivaling against each other about what was better.
With one paw placed int the field she looked around, waves of memories crashing down on her, and her heart felt like it was being squeezed. The pain, the memories...it's all too much. But I still have to be here, it feels...right. The air was warm, still, yet somehow filled with life, a breeze blew the sweet aroma of flowers from the west into the field which masked the smell of the golden grass. The trees' branches that surrounded the field were swaying with the light wind, it was like a dance, and they seemed to enjoy it--moving from left to right, their branches carelessly moving everywhere. It was cool--cute really. Shining high in the indigo sky was the moon. its light pouring down onto the golden grass which made it glow a faint silver. There were hardly words to describe it, but still there were some that could be mustered from her mind: captivating, gorgeous...those words still didn't amount to the scene right before her eyes. Actually, she couldn't describe the scenery, it was indescribable. The crickets nearby were chirping, frogs far off began to croak, and an owl started to hoot. The music of the night. A faint smile spread across her face. She had never visited the field at night, only in the daytime when the sun who light up the golden grass, making it shine as brightly as the sun. Though it was just a amazing in the sunlight as it was in the moonlight. But there was something missing. There was something wrong--there was just a weird feeling in the air. She looked around. Melodyecho was alone and no one was with her. Up until now she was surrounded by cats and now that no one was with her it felt a little awkward.
The feel of dried plants and grass against her pelt was somewhat comforting and she closed her eyes, raising her chin to the sky, paws sunk into the ground, unmoving, a small shiver running down her spine that made her gasp a little. And then she opened her eyelids, revealing her aqua-blue eyes that glowed so beautifully in the moonlight. The months after she left the clans Melodyecho learned to be comfortable with her eyes. At first, she despised them for being so unnatural and too bright. Cats would stare at her, like they were in a trance, and stay that way until she coughed or said something to make them snap our of their daze. It made her feel like a freak--having everyone gawk at her like she was something other than a cat. That was when she tried to be alone most of the time so that no one would stare rudely at her. But when with other cats--the loners, and occasional kittypets, would teach her how to get along with her eyes. Their advice helped her cope and she even managed to accept their compliments. And then there was that one tom who had complimented on her eyes, and she didn't know what to say, or how to react. That was the first time anyone had actually spoken to her about her eyes and not just stare at them dumbfounded. A sigh emitted from her. Would she ever see him again? Or was this little trip back into Lightningclan all for nothing?
Her dark silver ear flicked as a tall plant brushed gently past the soft flesh, muscles rippling under her coat as she padded through the grass and over to the boulder. The boulder was where they had first met. Lowering her stomach to the ground, muscles bunched up, and then she launched herself up on the gray, smooth, flat surface. The long, slender, silver femme stood up straight, staring out at the silver-golden field. She took in everything once more, but this time she was up off the ground and she could see everything from a different perspective; the tree's branches were still dancing with he light breeze, she could actually see the hooting owl, perched on top of a large limb, and the rippling of the grass as the wind blew through it. Her eyes glowed. It looked like a large pond, a large, golden-silver pond, that rippled with gust. It made the corners of her mouth pull up in a grin. She missed the beauty of Lightningclan. Her heart ached. Oh, she really did crave to come home to her birth clan--she had a strong desire for this location though.
Slowly, she whispered a name that she hadn't spoken in quite some time. "Goldeneye." It was a pained, dull murmur. Claws tried to sink into the stone beneath her and all she could feel and hear was the screech of scraping claws against stone. Maybe, just maybe, he would hear her call and he would instantly remember her voice and know where to go. But she couldn't get her hopes up. If she did and her hopes were crushed she knew it would take awhile to heal. Her heart started to start up again, racing wildly in her rib cage and something caught in her throat, preventing her from speaking again. Please, hear my cry.
Her aqua-blue eyes shone brighter in the moon's light.
Please.

OOC: OMGGGGG AWWWWWWWWWWWW that was so sad! D= *cries... no no, weeps and wails* That was just.... wow. You're a really REALLY great writer! Have you ever written stories and thought about publishing? It was amazing! *gives reputation* Unfortunately, I can't never RP as good as that. =(
IC: Goldeneye woke up with a start. His claws were dug deep into his bedding, shredding the moss into tiny bits. He quickly forced his claws to unsheathe. What was wrong with him tonight? His golden-brown fur felt matted, his body felt tense, as if he was ready for battle. He looked around the warriors den, with all the soundly sleeping bodies, and quietly left it all behind.
His tail twitched as he looked up at the moon the the sky, so bright, like...
Suddenly, there was only one cat in his mind: Melodyecho. Where was she? Why did she leave him? Anguished thoughts filled his head, but all he wanted was to see her. To see beautiful she-cat once more. To see her slim figure on that big, grey boulder. To see her bright, breath-taking blue eyes... He would give anything to see her one more time.
Then it hit him. He had to listen. He heard... no, he FELT, her voice. That voice as soft as a feather yet as strong as a dancing melody. It tugged in his heart, and he HAD to listen. Had to.
Without being able to control it, Goldeneye bolted out of camp, without even giving an explanation to the cats guarding the camp entrance. He didn't even see how startled they were, and just ran, sprinted, towards his goal. His destiny.
The Fields of Gold. That's where his paws led him. That's where her voice called out strongest. That's where his heart showed him. Where was she? Was she here? Was she really back? His thoughts were tangled in a mess, his heart leaping fast against his chest. His golden-and-green eyes searched the vast field, longing to see that silver she-cat once again. But the night was so dark now, even the moon couldn't draw out the form of a cat in this tall, dried grass.
Then she saw those two aqua-blue orbs of light.
Melodyecho.

ooc: aw, don't be sad. actually I have a story in progress....though it's not that good. I do want to become an author later in life. : D just get descriptive. ;] you'll get there. besides, I know you can keep up. :]
m e l o d y______&
Her spine was stiff from sitting up straight. It hadn't been long that she'd been sitting up on the boulder, but for some reason it made she was starting to get sore. Expelling a short, quick breath the femme pushed her fore arms in front of her and arched her back. Relief spread throughout her body and her eyes fluttered, muscles tightened at the rush and then she let loose once again. "That felt good." She mumbled joyfully to herself. Though as soon as the sliver of relaxation faded away her stomach started to knot with anxiety, tail curled up so tight that it actually hurt, and her talons, once again tried to dig their way through the rough, hard stone. This was agony--pure and real. This was like nothing she ever experienced. Throughout the times in her life she never waited on anything, especially not toms. She found there to be really no point at all to give her attention to the males. Some of them were pigs, and the others were nice and sweet. To her, there were far more important things to take care of. Like, hunting for the clan, patrolling the borders, making sure no harm came to her clan-mates. Think of it this way: which is more important, one life or thirty lives? The answer was pretty obvious--for Melodyecho anyways. That was just her perspective on the way things needed to be. She-cats needed to be independent and show the males that they were more than just pretty faces--they were warriors who were ready to fight until the last breath left their body. And so that's exactly how she lived her life. She was a fighter, not a coward. So in her life, everything was always don't do this, don't do that, but do this instead of that. There was never any real time for her to actually sit down and have a nice chat with anyone; she was always making sure that the clan was alright.
In time I knew that love would bring This happiness to me I tried to keep my sanity I waited patiently.
And so now, here she was, waiting patiently--or at least trying to--for a tom to come. It was something she couldn't explain. Goldeneye knew how it felt to have unusual eyes. He was sweet, nice, and unlike the others who would just want a fling, lead you on for so many months until he finally found another female to pick up on. No, he wasn't like the others. That was what made him special to her. And it was precisely why she couldn't get him out of her mind. For months she had pushed his image aside, hoping that her mind would forget him, but her heart would sing a different story--it would say that she would never forget him and that she should go back to him, to see him, to speak to him, to feel him. Wasn't that what she wanted from the start? To feel loved? To feel wanted? To actually feel needed for the first time in her life? Of course it was, so why was she trying to trick her heart in forgetting that those feels--those warms emotions--never happened? Because it's not the way I live. I should fawn over some tom like he means the world--like he's the whole universe. It just wouldn't make sense. His eyes, one gold and one green, flashed in her brain. Ugh. This was never going to stop. It was always going to be nagging at her and so that was why she had to come back. That was the reason why she needed to see his face. How long could she wait here for Goldeneye to come? Eyes dragged away from the scenery up to the high skies where the moon was still beaming. There's still a lot of time. I already said I would wait until sunrise for him...and I am going to keep to my word. Can it be I stayed away too long Did I leave your mind when I was gone It's not my thing trying to get back But this time let me tell you where I'm at You don't have to worry 'cause I'm coming Back to where I should have always stayed And now I've heard the maybe to your story And it's enough love for me to stay One thought made her heart stop until she couldn't breathe. Breathe! Melodyecho obeyed the voice and let out a long, sigh, and then inhaled. What if Goldeneye had already found another to be with? Another to stand side by side with him while they journey through life? The prospect of that made her sick. The inside of her mouth felt watery, as if she wanted to throw up and her limbs felt like jello, they were so wobbly she almost fell of the boulder, but luckily she had her claws stuck into the unmoving block of mineral. Worst of all, her stomach felt like it was being folded inside out, needles piercing the soft flesh, and her throat felt so dry that it hurt to even take in oxygen. The silver she-cat knew it was too much for her so she just lay down on the smooth gray stone, setting her head comfortably down on her paws. But that was question she had to ask herself: what if he found someone else? Goldeneye was handsome, kind, somewhat shy to her and any she-cat would be more than lucky to be with him. And maybe I lost my chance a long time ago. Melodyecho whined softly and closed her eyes. Then this whole trip to Lightningclan was for nothing. That didn't go too well with her. If she traveled for more than two moons to get back here what was the point of even speaking to him? "I knew I shouldn't have got my hopes up. They only get crushed and my heart slowly shrivels." The words were bitter and sad. A voice hissed inside of her head. You don't even know if there is another she-cat in his life! Pull yourself together. He will come! Just have faith. Her eyebrows knit together, and just buried her head in her paws again, trying to block out the little voice speaking to her. "Shut up." Her long tail curled around one side of her body. Stop dwelling and stand up. Look for him. "Fine fine fine." The femme pushed herself up to her paws roughly, giving her pelt a quick shake, and proceeded to scan the silver-gold field. If she just listened, then things would be alright. So they came into the out way It was Sunday--what a black day Mouth to mouth resus--citation
Sounding heartbeats--intimidation The night dragged on and the wind that blew across the Field of Gold had suddenly stopped. Clouds came from out of nowhere and covered the moon. That was when the world went black, swallowed up by darkness. She straightened. In fact, everything had stopped: the owl had stopping hooting, the frogs' croaking had deceased, and the trees' branches no longer danced joyfully, they just stayed still as if they were waiting for the climax of something. Fearful she spun around in a circle. Things were too quiet. It was like the whole forest had stopped its music to watch for something that Melodyecho was totally unaware of. Frustrated, her head turned to the direction of the main entrance of the Field of Gold. It wasn't until the clouds opened up, revealing the soft glow of moonlight that she saw the outline of another cat. The breeze started up again and the scent of the stranger was blown toward her. Instantly the stream of emotions flooded her body and she fought back a cry, memories forced their way into her mind. There's a place in Your heart And I know that it is love. Goldeneye.Tryin' to live without your love Is one long sleepless night
Let me show you boy That I know wrong from right Every street you walk on I leave tear-stains on the ground
Following the boy I didn't even want around Let me tell you now
Overwhelmed, yet shocked, Melodyecho simply stood there, unsure of what to do. This was the moment she anticipated for two months and here she was just standing there, her mouth slightly ajar. Something clicked inside her mind and she leaped off the boulder boldly, and proudly. The slender femme pushed down each of her paws on the ground, the tall stalks of grass brushing against her pelt as she made her way over to Goldeneye. The beating of her heart as so loud that she was sure that the universe could hear it. That's when everything around her darkened and all she could see was the handsome tom before her eyes. All of a sudden her eyes started to water and then the tears spilled over. All the emotions--even to when she first meet him--that she kept bottled up were now released. "Goldeneye." Her aqua-blue eyes shined radiantly as she stared into the golden and green eyes. There was so much pain, love, sorrow, joy held within her orbs that she knew that there were no words to explain how she felt. All he had to do was just take a glance into her optics and all would be revealed. The femme was at loss for words. The heart twisted and it hurt, but in a good way, it the was the type of pain that made you want more. Her chest heaved gently and she padded closer, closing the space that separated them. But you are not alone For I am here with you Though we're far apart You're always in my heart But you are not alone She needed to know one thing and it was stupid of her to even ask during this reunion, but she had to know. "Is there another in your life?" The question made her sick again, but something was telling her that he didn't love another she-cat. If he did, then why would he come? If he didn't feel a single ounce of feeling for her, then why on earth would he listen to her voice and follow it? And, if he didn't feel anything, then how would he know exactly where to find her? They would only remember if they had a special connection with her. Her hopes were brought up again and she stepped even closer. A shiver ran up her spine which caused her eyes to dazzle. In my anguish and my pain Through my joy and my sorrow In the promise of another tomorrow
I'll never let you part
For you're always in my heart. "Because if there isn't another she-cat in your life then I need to tell you something. Since the first moment I met you I knew there was something special about you, though I couldn't quite put my paw on what made you so special. You understood how it felt to be like an outsider because of your eyes...which is exactly how I felt about my own eyes. It was then that there was an instant connection." She had to catch her breath because she was speaking too fast. "I left the clans because I wanted adventure, I wanted to experience something more exciting that the clan life. I wanted to see the world beyond these lands. And you should have seen the places I went to. They were amazing and it made you stop to view in awe. And during my journey I met other cats who helped me cope with my fears and my frustrating troubles. It was incredible." Melodyecho said breathlessly. "I tried my hardest not to think of you because I knew if I forgot you then maybe I could move on...you know, proceed to live the life I was living, but something didn't feel right. I wasn't comfortable or at ease with myself and then here you come, forcing yourself into my mind. You were hard to forget. Because the rules I lived by told me that I couldn't get involved because it would lead me of the trail of making sure my duty got done. And I am--was?--a pretty loyal cat and I knew I couldn't do that. Work. That's all I had on my mind--there wasn't room for anything else. So that's partially why I left. But I came back because I knew I would never truly be at peace with myself if I just let you go." The truth came out of her mouth and she just remained still, unyielding, unmoving. "Because the truth is, and I didn't realize it until I went on my journey, is that I need someone in my life. I need someone who is going to love me and need me, not push me aside like yesterday's fresh-kill. And you were the first one who popped into my head. I understood that it was you that whole time and I just passed you by like nothing, though I did have feelings for you back then, and I instantly knew that what I did was stupid. But I know that it is you. It was you all along." The world spun around and the femme felt like she could actually grasp the movement of gravity. "Because," She hesitated. Could she really say the words that were already on the tip of her tongue? If she had to take that risk, then she would. "Because if you already haven't found someone, then I need to tell you that...that." Another intake of oxygen and she looked up to the heavens above for help. Then a soft voice whispered words into her ear. You can do it, just listen to your heart, your soul, and speak. Everything comes from the heart. Comforted by the words, Melodyecho smiled, softly, gently, tenderly...lovingly. "I love you, Goldeneye. You know how I feel This thing can't go wrong I can't live my life Without you
----
At night when the Stars shine
I pray in you I'll find A love so true ...
----
When morning awakes me Will you come and take me I'll wait for you
----
I just can't stop loving you. ooc//wow. this is one of my most emotional posts yet. : D i'm happy with the way this turned out--its just fueled with emotions. [/blockquote]

OOC: Oh wow! Did you write the poem or is it a song? Sounds like good song lyric material =P *thumbs up*Oh, and I LOVED that you wrote about how guys are like and what girls SHOULD be like. Was awesome. ;P
IC: Melodyecho. It's really you. You're back... Finally back.
Goldeneye simply stood there, his eyes unwavering in case she disappears before his eyes again. He was afraid that the simple blink of an eye would make her vanish into thin air. And when the familiar silver figure bounded towards him, every movement bringing back memories, he couldn't move a muscle. No matter how much his head told him to just move, run towards her, just go, his body didn't obey. It was as if he became a statue while staring into Melodyecho's eyes.
"Goldeneye." Her voice, so soft and tender. The way her voice wrapped around his name was more than just a hallucination, more than just a memory that he's played over and over again in his head. It was reality.
The night was cool. The darkness engulfed the heat of the day and the moon's silver shine turned the world to ice. The air was so still that the tom felt nothing, like the whole thing was a dream and nothing more. The fear crept into Goldeneye's heart again, the fear that Melodyecho would vanish once he opens his eyes and finds himself in the den, where the spot beside him was empty, scent was stale... But this had to be real. He took a step closer to her at the same time she did, and felt the warmth radiating off her body, saw all the undescribable emotions mixed in her aqua-blue eyes. And in his own odd-coloured pair, gazing so deeply into hers, were the thoughts and feelings that's been tormenting him ever since the day she left. Everything that he's been questioning, wondering, hoping for, wanting, needing, loving... He wanted to blurt it all out. To let her know. To keep her here with him and never let her go.
Melodyecho spoke first. "Is there another in your life?"
No! He wanted to shout out. There was nobody who could take your place. You're my first, my list, my eternal, his mind whirled with everything he wanted to say to her, wanted her to know. But nothing came out.
The silver she-cat continued, and told him about her journey. He wished that he could have gone with her, been by her side while her life unfurled in front of her. Instead, he had to stay in LightningClan, work hard as the deputy, and wait day after day for any sign of her returning. Moon by moon, more and more cats gave up on her, but he knew that she couldn't have just disappeared from his life forever. He knew she would come back.
Melodyecho's words flowed so swiftly and effortlessly, but then she suddenly paused and looked up at the sky. And her smile, her eyes, filled with so much that he understood, and felt in himself as well. Then her gentle, loving words, so caressed, were spoken. Spoken for him.
"Melodyecho," Goldeneye whispered, his voice finally not just in sounding in his head. There was no need to speak loud and clear, like he does in camp. All he needed was to whisper to her, his voice so soft that if the wind blew it would drown him out. But she was so close that he didn't have to worry. She was so close that he could feel every movement that she made, hear every breath that she took. "Melodyecho, I -- I love you too, and I would never, ever love anyone else like this." His voice faded. His emotions overtook him. He wished that there were other words that could explain how he felt, but he found nothing. The only words were the ones he just spoke. But he knew that she would understand, if she truly meant what she said, because he meant his just as much.

melody_______&& Melodyecho held her breath and counted the passing seconds until she had to release the oxygen. It still didn't make her feel better as she waited for his answer. What could be worse than this; falling in love, leaving to go search for adventure, and then come back at the end because you think they might still be waiting for you? Paws shuffled on the ground in hardly noticeable movements as she thought about it. That would be hard to do...to wait for someone you loved to come back to you, in hopes that they felt the same way. But for her, it was kind of a long shot. Another look in to his eyes and she melted again; her heart raced, mind started to cloud, and it was becoming difficult for her to remember how to breathe. But alas, he was here--Golden eye, standing right in front of her, looking so breath taking under the moonlit sky. So, could it be that he felt the same way about her? Melodyecho wasn't sure, but she wanted to find out as soon as possible. Because if Goldeneye didn't feel the same way about her then she would leave back to where she was at before. However, if he did have similar feelings, then she would stay--if the clan allowed her to--and live her life with him. Every thing dropped back into reality and she felt dizzy. Her mind was telling her to keep neutral... it could go either way.
It was then that the world stopped all around her and she watched as the words left his lips. He just...he said.... Her aqua-blue eyes watered and she ran up to him and pushed her face in his neck and inhaled his scent. Goldeneye, Goldeneye, Goldeneye. She opened her mouth and had to close it because she couldn't speak. So she tried to calm down. Breath. In and out. Melodyecho took control of her emotions and nuzzled his neck lovingly, whispering soft words of love into his ears. "I can't believe you feel the same way, Goldeneye. You could have anyone else in Lightningclan and you chose to wait for me. How could you do that? It must mean you love me a lot if you waited all this time. I just can't believe it..." Tail reached up and brushed against his cheek tenderly. "You amaze me...and I believe your words, dear. I love you so much...for always and forever." The slender she-cat pulled back and licked his cheek with a soft, gentle stroke that made her shiver.
And so how would they explain this to the others at camp? What would they think of her leaving and then coming back after all this time?
Staring into his eyes, she was instantly reassured that everything would work out as long as she had him...as long as he remained right beside her. I just want to lay next to you For awhile You look so beautiful tonight Your eyes are so lovely Your mouth is so sweet A lot of people
Misunderstand me That's because they don't Know me at all
I just want to touch you And hold you I need you God I need you I love you so much.
ooc:gaaaaahhh. i did bad. hm? oh, no i can never write poems or song lyrics. these are Michael Jackson's lyrics. there's always a song that you can find that are going to fit your post. [/blockquote]
