"Who are you looking for?" Burning meowed, interrupting. (XD) He'd seen her scan the crowd several times, and heard her hiss when she didn;t find what she was looking for....

Courage was taken aback at the leader's sudden anger. Did this happen often? Then he heard Sunset's whisper, that it wasn't usually like this... So.. what was causing the tom's temper to be unusually short? probably the tension of having the band here... He shrugged and waited..

Windgale looked up disinterestedly. Redwater had gone and put her paw in it again... (lol instead of 'put her foot in it.." )

LEAFFUR

I padded through the camp entrance with Songpaw right behind me. But then I stopped dead in my tracks when I noticed a whole band of cats right inside our camp. I quickly drew Songpaw closer to my side. I scanned the camp for my mate and one other kit. I spotted them near the outside of the throng of cats. I signaled with a ripple of my whiskers for Songpaw to follow me, and edged my way around the strange cats, hoping none of them would notice me. I finally made it to where Forestfur and Flashpaw were. I padded quietly up to his side and pressed my fur against his for comfort, and gave his cheek a swift lick as a greeting. Then as quietly as I could, I whispered, What in StarClan's name is going on?

SONGPAW

I stood next to Flashpaw, pressing my fur into his. He may get on my nerves at times, but he is still my brother. I've also noticed his strange behavior lately, like he's hiding something. But I won't pressure him into telling me, I'm pretty sure that he would when he was ready, but now wasn't the time to worry about that. I heard mom whispering to dad to find out what was going on. I waited paitently for an explanation also.

Forestfur looked up in surprise as a familiar scent reached his nose. Whipping around, he pressed himself next to Leaffur. "Leaffur," he purred, breathing in her scent. When she asked what was going on, he hesitated. But she already knew about his sister, just had never met her... "My sister is visiting, along with all of her cats."

Flashpaw glanced over at his sister with a mrrow of pleasure. "Hey Songpaw! What were you and mom doing?" he tucked in his tail lightly and looked around. Redwater was acting up again.

Hiddenpaw turned away and stalked over to Flashpaw. "How I hate her," she grumbled. "And she's looking for me too!" Glancing over next to Flashpaw, Hiddenpaw blinked. "Hullo Songpaw," she muttered to her other cousin. "Seen the parade of lies pass through?"

Dreampaw snuck over the clan boundary. She was going to see Flashpaw, and she knew what Dawnstar would say. Actually, she probably won't say anything, she'll give me that look... Dreampaw thought. She neared the camp, and padded quietly. She didn't want to get noticed other then by Flashpaw. She peered through the camp. The first thing she saw was Flashpaw's feathery tail, then his calico pelt. "Flashpaw," she hissed quietly, then hid down in the bushes.

Flashpaw's ears pricked up at the sound of his name followed by Dreampaw's scent. His eyes took on a guilty gleam as he glanced at his sister and cousin. "I got to to make dirt," he muttered before backing up into the bushes. He hoped that Hiddenpaw and Songpaw weren't watching him.

"Dreampaw!" he gasped. "I didn't expect to see you until the gathering." Flashpaw breathed in her scent and rubbed up against her. "But I'm glad I did."

LEAFFUR

I blinked in suprised, then looked towards the throng of cats again. I knew that Forestfur had a sister, I just never had the chance to meet her. Which one was she? Then another question came to mind, and I decided to voice them both out loud. Which cat is she, and what does she want with our Clan? I hope that my question didn't sound harsh. His sister was welcome to visit us anytime, and I certainly didn't mind being introduced to any of my mate's kin. But something deep in my gut told me her visit wasn't just to say hello to her brother. And even if it was, why did she bring her whole band of cats?

SONGPAW

I gave a simple flick of my ear before I answered my brother's question. Mom and I were out hunting, until we started to smell strange cat scents. We came back to tell Treestar, but I guess there's no need. As I said the last part, I swept my tail towards the group of cats in our camp to indicate our point. I blinked in amusement and suprise when Hiddenpaw came up to me. Hello Hiddenpaw. And no I haven't seen the 'Parade of Lies' pass through. Then I remembered her first statement. Who do you hate?

Forestfur turned and looked out at the band. "She is the orange one in front with the blue eyes. Next to her is her son, Burning, and her mate, Skywalker. The others I do not know." Forestfur blinked slowly in surprise. "They are allied with us for the coming battle, Foxcloud stole a couple of their kits." He glanced over at Hiddenpaw, his blue eyes thoughtful.

Hiddenpaw grunted. "Sunset! I hate her!" She sneered. "My dear 'momma' I suppose. Your auntie. I look like my grandfather and uncle and suddenly I cannot stay with her? And she never tells me until I personally hunt her down? Not the best way to gain your daughter's trust..."

Sunset's eyes fell upon Forestfur again and saw a she-cat standing next to him. This must be Leaffur, his mate. And behind him stood Songpaw... and... yes! Hiddenpaw! Sunset breathed in a sigh of relief.

Flashpaw purred. "Songpaw, my sister, and my cousin, Hiddenpaw. And yes, that is nearly the entire band. I believe a few of them are going to SkyClan next." Flashpaw looked back, hoping that no one saw him.

"I know, but I had to see you," Dreampaw meowed. She licked Flashpaw's ear. "I missed you." She looked back into the camp. "Who's the new cat? I've never seen her..." Dreampaw meowed. Oh, maybe she's his long lost sister! They look kinda alike... she thought. "What's going on? Is that Sunset and her entire band? All of them?"

Flinching back from Treestar's sudden appearance, Redwater watched him threw shocked wide eyes. Did she have something to say? Her lips tightened in anger. She did, a lot to say!

"No Treestar, I don't have anything to say," she meowed calmly, her pride was brusied. It would take a while before it healed and it would hurt worse taking it meekly.

Flypaw watched from afar taking a few steps back only to run into Hiddenpaw. turning in emmbarresment the medicence cat apprentice studdered out her apology, "I-I-I'm so sory Hiddenpaw, I wasn't watching were I was going..."

Fur prickling in embaresment she muttered a low "hi" before sinking back on her haunches, tail wrapped over her paws. this was embarrassing. Her gaze went back to Treestar, she had never seen him angry like that. But she was glad it was Redwater getting yelled out. She knew that was a mean thing to think, but the warrior crept her out. For a reason she couldn't explain.

Dreampaw thought about that. "Ooh, I'll have to make sure I'm back by that, Dawnstar tends to look for me at the meetings..." Dreampaw meowed. "You're sister? She's back? Is that pretty she-cat by your father, your mother?" Dreampaw smiled happily.

LEAFFUR

I gave a nod of understanding when Forestfur told me her purpose for being here was. I knew it wasn't just so she could see her brother, but she came for a good reason nonetheless. I pressed my fur further into Forestfur's and twined my tail with his. Then I told him, I would like to meet her once everything has settled down. I was extremly nervous considering how shy I was. But this was Forestfur's kin, and I knew all to well how important family is to a cat. A brief thought of my family came to mind, and my sad feelings almost overwhelmed me. I quickly pushed the thoughts of my family out of my head and breathed in my mates scent, comforting myself. Thinking of how he's by my side right now, along with my son and daughter.

SONGPAW

My ears pricked up in suprise at Hiddenpaw's words. I couldn't ever imagine hating Leaffur, she was, and is still, a wonderful mother. If anything, I was pretty sure that Sunset had her reasons for what she was doing, and I decided to tell Hiddenpaw so. I'm pretty sure that Sunset has her reasons, whatever they may be. I know that your mother loves you very much, I've never know a queen to not love her kits. I stretched forward to give Hiddenpaw a comforting lick on the forehead.

Burning nudged Sunset and Skywalker. "Who are they? Are they our kin?" He meowed persistently. "Can I go talk to them?" Burning looked impatient....

(bleah... can't really write anything atm)

Flashpaw nodded. "Yeah, that's my mom, Leaffur." He yawned and stretched before giving Dreampaw a soft lick. "I hope me and Songpaw become warriors soon, it's been moons. How 'bout you? You close to completing your training?"

Hiddenpaw just shook her head slightly. "Yeah, she has her reasons, and yeah, I just bet she loves me, but no one told me until I went sticking my nose around for answers. I grew up without a mother and father."

Forestfur nodded lightly. "She's usually pretty good at getting away. She'll come over to us, I'm sure, and she'll at least bring Burning with her. She's been here in the camp before to talk with Treestar and hardly anyone recognizes her."

Sunset's eyes flashed down at her son. What was he thinking? Talking about their relationship to Forestfur and his family right here in front of everybody would make cats curious. But... "Yes, we will be seeing them. Learn to whisper, will you?"

LEAFFUR

I nodded to Forestfur's reply. There was nothing more I could do but paitently for Sunset to make her way over here to greet her brother. Then I glanced at my mate's pelt. Well, maybe there is something I can do. Seeing the bits of dirt and debris in Forestfur's pelt, I set to work on grooming it. Making sure I licked in long soothing strokes, considering I could feel how tense he was with his sister being in the camp along with his one niece and nephew.

SONGPAW

I felt bad for Hiddenpaw, I couldn't imagine how it must feel growing up not knowing who your family is. I suddenly realized how much I took for granted. But I shook those thoughts out of my for the moment. Well, from what my dad is telling my mom, it sounds like she's going to be around for a while. So maybe you can take this time to get to know the family that you thought you never had.

Burning immediately looked guilty. "Oops." He meowed, grimacing. "Sorry mom, I forgot." He said, this time in a whisper. The ginger tom looked around, hoping no cat had heard him, and then pressed up against his mom..


Courage yawned, all the while breathing in the earthy scent of the cats around him. It was so alien- he was used to the gentle wind blown grasslands scent that clung to the fur of him and the rest of his "band" mates. These cats smelled of rich soil, ancient trees, and blossoming green life. He twitched his nose- it wasn't unpleasant, it was just....different. He glanced at sunset, wondering if she would talk to Treestar or if this scent exchanging was all they were here for...

Sunset looked around and, sweeping a tail over Burning's shoulders, she made her way over to her brother.

Hiddenpaw froze as she saw her mother coming toward her. "Oh no," she groaned.

Burning was surprised at first, but then padded with her, a smile on his face. He no longer bounced around like crazy when he was happy- he was growing up, but he did allow himself a small bounce of joy. Ever since he'd heard of having other kin, he'd wanted to at least get to meet them. and now, he was... What was the tom's name, who looked a little like Sunset? Or the she cat next to him? his mind was full of questions..

LEAFFUR

Leaffur stopped grooming Forestfur's pelt as soon as she noticed that Sunset was making her way over here. She couldn't help but to fidget her paws nervously. She glanced towards her mate, hoping that he would give her some type of comfort.

SONGPAW

Sonpaw gave Hiddenpaw a sympathetic glance. She still couldn't imagine ever hating her mom. Songpaw gently laid her tail on Hiddenpaw's shoulder in silent support. Songpaw wouldn't say so out loud, but she was pretty excited about meeting her aunt and cousin.

RAVENFEATHER

Ravenfeather padded calmly up to Treestar. He had no reason to fear the leader. He gently laid his tail on the EarthClan's leader shoulder, and spoke quietly in his ear. Calm down Treestar. What ever he may have said, I'm pretty sure that anger isn't the solution to the problem.

Dreampaw smiled. "Should be, but Dawnstar will probably wait until this war is over... A lot of stress you know..."

Windgale perked up slightly as Ravenfeather came into view...He was as stunning as ever... She looked at her paw. All better now, thanks to him....She purred quietly. He'd make the best deputy ever....

Burning padded the last few stretches between the High Hills Band and the Earthclan cats. He stopped, head tilted curiously, in front of a tom that shared a familiar scent with his mother, though it was buried underneath all the Earthclan scents. "Hi!" He meowed, not shy at all. "I'm Burning!"
