Confused

Silverpaw padded around the camp. She was unsure of what to do while waiting for her mentor. Pawing at the ground, she started to ponder if it was really right for a rogue like her to be in a clan like this. She knew there might be cats who would never accept that and that worried her. Does the leader approve of me? She thought to herself. Digging claws into the ground in frustration, she decided she would prove a rogue can be just as good as a clan born cat. She looked around the camp for something to do.

"Hi!!" Starpaw meowed, spotting the new apprentice. "I'm Starpaw! What do you think of Fireclan so far?" She meowed ethusiastically. "You're...urrrgh.. I heard your name, but I admit, I was too busy poking Dovepaw to really pay attention...So... what is your name?"

Silverpaw looked at the other apprentice for a moment. "My name is Silverpaw, I really like Fireclan its a lot better than being out alone in the forest." She mewed in a relaxed voice. She's just trying to be nice to me. Maybe I can finally make a friend. Silverpaw thought to herself.

[wolfwarrior4jesus]

"Nice to meet you Silverpaw!" The white and gold she cat meowed, smiling in a friendly manner. "I can't imagine not living in a clan, I like being surrounded by my friends and family. Hey, would you like me to show you around the territory? That way you can get a head start on your training when your mentor is named! Or have you been given one already?" She meowed...

Silverpaw smiled at the other apprentice. "Nice to meet you too. Yes I do have a mentor whose name is Redwing, but I would like to explore the territory more." She mewed feeling a faint twinge of excitement at exploring. She was only an apprentice after all, it was normal to feel some excitement.

"Okay! Follow me!" Starpaw purred. "Have you and Redwing trained much yet?" She asked, moving at a fast jog. There was so much to show Silverpaw and so little time to do it!

"Umm.. Not really" Silverpaw mewed. She followed Starpaw at the pace she was going, feeling excited to be exploring the territory. Maybe they would fight another clan or something, not like she knew many moves.

"Well, our mentors are busy with the whole alliance thing.." Starpaw meowed. Her own mentor, Wildheart, had been very busy too, plus.... Starpaw had a sneaking suspicion something else was going on. "Well, this is the dry fields. We have to be careful here; there's not that much prey and rogues love to camp out here, for some odd reason." Starpaw scented and looked around, making sure there were none of said cats before padding quickly and quietly on. "It's kind of bland here... nothing but lots and lots of grass that tickles my nose. Next is the flame tree! It's really cool to see; and it's the tallest of all the trees on Fireclan territory!"

Silverpaw looked around the dry fields for a moment. She checked the air for cats like Starpaw. "Hm this place is very empty.." She mewed quietly. "Flame tree??" She said curiously as Starpaw had mentioned. It perked her interest and she thought faintly of her brother shadow for some reason.

"Yeah!" Starpaw nodded. "It's gorgeous! No matter what season, it's leaves are always red, yellow and orange. It really looks like it's on fire! Plus, it's got plenty of low branches for climbing! C'mon, that's the next place we're stopping!" Starpaw hurried off again, checking behind her to make sure Silverpaw was still with her. "So... did you have any siblings Silverpaw?" she meowed as she made her way through the dry stalks of grass..

Silverpaw was curious to see the new tree. But the sudden question from Starpaw made her stop in her pawtracks. ".... Yes, I do." She mewed. "I have a brother named Shadow. I dont know where he is though." She said in an even quieter tone. Thinking of her brother made her feel an almost melancholy sadness for the times they used to share together. But instead of lingering on it she smiled at Starpaw. "I think you would like him if he were in the territory for some odd reason. He's an interesting tom" She purred in amusement.

"Really?" Starpaw meowed, grinning. "Well.... uh... why didn't you bring him with you? Did he not want to be in a clan or something?" She meowed, knowing how hard a subject this must be for Silverpaw...

Silverpaw thought for a moment. Why did her brother not come? Oh yes.. "Hmm.. Well Shadow was always one for adventure and never having to settle down or follow orders much. I supposed he liked to feel solitary and free. Im not sure if its still the same now. But maybe if he saw how nice the clan life could be he'd change his mind." She mewed thoughtfully.

OOC: Mind if Redwing joins? Sorry for his lack of mentoring, by the way... ^^;

IC: Stalking out of the Dry Fields came a lithe shape, his bright ginger and white pelt almost glowing as it parted the tall stalks of brittle grass. Because he was gazing over his shoulder in the direction he'd come, the tom didn't take notice of the two apprentices right away. His ears pricked suddenly, though, and the warrior whirled in surprise, a fierce glint in his golden eyes, but it vanished immediately as he recognized the two apprentices.
"Oh," Redwing blinked, his angry expression fading into a one that was a bit friendlier, "It's only you two."

IC: Silverpaw was surprised to see her mentor just appearing out of the blue like this. "Hi Redwing." She meowed in surprised. "Were you... looking for us?" She hoped they werent in trouble for just touring the territory.

"Oh hi Redwing!" Starpaw meowed, dipping her head respectfully. "I was just showing Silverpaw our territory!"

"Hey, Silverpaw." Redwing replied, and then nodded his narrow muzzle to Starpaw as well, "No, I wasn't looking for you two. I've been in the Dry Fields with Bristlefur and her apprentice." His golden eyes narrowed, and he glanced over his shoulder quickly before turning to Starpaw, "I can see that. Mind if I join you? We were attacked by a fox back there, and I want to make sure it's not hiding somewhere in the territory." He paused, then smiled at both of them, "We might be able to work some training in, too. I know you've been overdue."

Silverpaw was surprised at the attack of the fox Redwing had mentioned. "A fox??" She mewed. "If its close by I bet we could take care of it." She said with more confidence then usual. Yes, I finally get to have more training torwards becoming a warrior. She thought excitedly.

OC: wow that last line is kinda cheesy.. xD

Redwing smirked at his apprentice, but his eyes held a bit of flint. The white and ginger tom hated foxes with a passion, and talking about them didn't help his mood. "I like your attitude, Silverpaw, but it took two warriors and an elder apprentice to drive it off. You've hardly started your training yet." Though that's mostly my fault... Smirking again, Redwing gently cuffed Silverpaw across the ear in a friendly manner, before adding, "Not that we can't fix that."

Silverpaw blinked in surprise. "That many cats?" She thought that just one of the strong Fireclan warriors could take down a fox, but now putting pieces together she realized they all had to work together. "Are we going to train Redwing?" She mewed curiously. Though it would be nice to sink her claws into that fox that might be on their territory. She wanted to have her training as soon as possible. The eagerness she was holding back would have been radiating if she did not usually keep a calm composure.
