Butterflypaw padded forward her paws clumsy in the darkness.Shadows flickered on the edges of her vision like little creatures waiting for the chance to strike.She shivered and felt the fur on the back of her neck start to rise.Usually nighttime didnt bother her but for some reason tonight she felt..unnerved.Slinking low along the ground she stopped as the looming trees of Skyclans Forest rose up infront of her.Without the sunlight warming them the trees looked like giant arms waving gently in the whispering wind.
Licking her chest fur quietly,Butterflypaw bunched her hind legs under her and lunged up onto the nearest branch.It wasnt a hard leap the branch was only about a tail-length or so high.Sighing butterflypaw settled down in a natural crook in the tree and looked up.The clan would probably be wondering where she was but who cares it didnt matter that much.The sigh of the wind next to her earth was like a midnight lullaby.Slowly her eyes closed and her head drifted to lay itself on her paws.

Galaxyshadow headed out for his favorite haunt, the lake, when he smelled one of his clanmates nearby.... He looked all around him, but didn't see anycat. Finally he looked up, and was startled to see thier new apprentice and member of Skyclan, Butterflypaw. "Why're sleeping up there like a roosting bird, Butterflypaw? Surely the nests in the camp are more comfortable." he called out to the apprentice...

Butterflypaw jumped and dug her claws into the tree to keep herself from tumbling down.Glancing down she caught sight of Galaxyshadow and relaxed.Just a clanmate.Getting to her paws stiffly she clawed her way down to the ground."I just thought a bit of change might be better."She grinned and sat down curling her bushy tail over her undersized paws."So what were you up to or is it not my place to ask?"She questioned myschievously her eyes glittering.

"Oh, I see." He meowed, watching as Butterflypaw scrambled down the tree. "Me? Oh I'm just doing some wandering. Need some time to think." He meowed, giving the apprentice a small smile. "But you should be back in camp and sleeping. Don't you have training tomorrow?" He asked..

OOC: mind if Dewfeather joins?
IC: Dewfeather was hunting by a nearby tree. She was becoming better at hunting by the second. So far, she had caught a squirrel and two mice. Pretty good, she complimented herself, and it's still Leaf- bare. Then she heard two cat's voices and her head popped up happily. She thought she was the only one hunting tonight. The voices belonged to Butterflypaw and Galaxyshadow. She padded up behind the two cats and greeted them kindly. "Hello!" she meowed, "I was hunting and I just heard you speaking. Sorry for intruding."

Galaxyshadow turned. "Oh, not a bother at all Dewfeather." He meowed. "I was just talking to Butterflypaw about getting enough rest for training tomorrow. What are you doing out here Dewfeather?" he laughed. "I think we've been saying that too much. Oh yes, who is your mentor Butterflypaw?" He asked, his gaze back on the she cat apprentice.

Butterflypaw grinned up at Galaxyshadow her whiskers twitching in amusement.She looked over as a new cat appeared.Another of her clan she guessed."Hi Dewfeather."She purred trying to look as cute as possible.It wasnt hard for her she was just so darn adorable.Flicking her tail lightly she turned as Galaxyshadow spoke again this time asking who her mentor was."Oh My mentor if Faithspirit.You should know that Galaxyshadow!"She purred pouncing forward on a leaf.Something about having other cats around her was making her feel frisky.She sat down and smiled up at the two warriors again.

"Oh, right!" the white warrior meowed, remembering now. "A nicer mentor you couldn't want." He added. Faithspirit was a quiet, shy she cat; would an apprentice like Butterflypaw help her be more outgoing? "She'll train you well, though she might be very shy and cautious at first. What are you looking forward to learning? Battle moves, hunting, knowledge about the other clans?"

ooc: Here comes Dreampaw! She's coming from visiting Flashpaw...
Dreampaw licked frantically at her pelt. She smelled strongly of Earthclan, the muddy sweet smell of Flashpaw. She had to remove the smell before any of her clan mates smelled it. She flicked her ears back, and lifted her tail proudly. Taking a brave step toward the cats Dreampaw's courage did not abandon her. "Hello," she meowed. She always expected the hateful glares she received from many of her clan mates being from Waterclan it was difficult being among them. She felt like she always had to prove herself worthy to be an apprentice. "How are things?"

"Oh Dawnstreak sent me to hunt for the elder's, but I couldn't find any prey," she meowed. The lie tasted like part truth. It was true that durning her treck she hadn't scented any prey. "It's okay, I think some other apprentices were hunting for the elder's too."

Galaxyshadow shook his head. "Prey's been scarce of late... Yes, hopefully the other apprentices managed to find some. "Oh well, perhaps tomorrow will be a better day." he meowed to Dreampaw. "You'd better go back to camp, though, and get some sleep. I'm sure Dawnstreak," his heart fluttered at the mention of the beautiful she cat's name, "will be taking you out bright and early tomorrow. You too Butterflypaw. No more stalling you two, back to camp."
