ooc: Last time on The Adventures of Smallkit and Winterpaw.... lol ^^
Previously:Smallkit nodded with a sigh and then continued on following Winterpaw into the Medicine Cat Den; Mmm. It smells nice in here! Smallkit took a deep breath in but sneezed from the intake of the herbs scent
Winterpaw purred, whiskers twitching in amusement. "The piles of herbs are back here."

Smallkit nodded her eyes squinting slightly trying to hold in a series of sneezes, Okay. she followed Winterpaw to where there were piles of herbs; Smallkit blinked, Colorful... she said happily.

Winterpaw grinned wide. She stopped in front of a bigger pile with 3 different herbs. Catmint, goldenrod, and nettle was mixed, but could be easily separated. "Put the catmint in a different pile." She pushed a bit of it in front of Smallkit, letting her know what it smelled like.

Smallkit gave it a small sniff, trying her best to hold in sneezes. She nodded and began seperating them as best she could, You have to do this every day? she asked Winterpaw.

Winterpaw licked her paws to dab the nettle better. "Everyone has scars from the past, but some are emotional. I think we reminded her of something painful from her past. Don't ask her about it though, it'll cause more pain. Maybe she'll tell us some day."

Smallkit nodded, I see.... still sorting out cat mint, it made her feel giddy but also made her want to sneeze..... Are there any other clans in the forest? she wondered aloud. She had a faint memory on being on different territory but it was only her and her parents...

Winterpaw nodded a bit. "Yeah. There are 5 Clans. Once a moon, we have a peaceful gathering where the Clans talk about how they're doing. You'll go to one once you're an apprentice."

Smallkit was still working on the cat mint as fast as she could, No! Not...really... she stammered, Not all kits!

Winterpaw chuckled. "It's too far, and besides, it's not really fun. All the warriors do is talk about old battles, and the apprentices sit around. The elders talk about the old days and croak about how the apprentices keep their fleas and ticks off. It's the same every Gathering, so you won't miss out." She walked a little bit further into the cave, grasping 3 leaves in her jaws. She came back, spread them out, then started putting the nettle into one.

Winterpaw finished packing the nettle into one leaf. She walked a couple paces toward the mouth of the den, grabbing a stick with moss soaking in honey. She went back to Smallkit, set the moss down, and wrapped the leaf filled with nettle, using honey to keep it wrapped tightly. (had to do it, it's the Christmas Spirit!!) She then started to fill another leaf with goldenrod. "Medicine cats can make friends though. I myself have made a lot of friends, but I always worry if they're okay or not."

"Becuase in battles, I won't be out there, so I won't not fight for my Clan if I'm against my friends. Medicine Cats only have to heal and interpret the signs of StarClan. We don't have to fight, hunt, or protect the borders. But there are some downsides." Winterpaw paused.
