Shadowfire paused under a long, pale stone. It had a small overhand, allowing freedom from the falling snow and a shallower depth of the stuff on the ground. "I can not take you back to Earthclan, but you can stay here with me until Foxcloud cools off."

Flashpaw sat down and looked at Shadowfire with sad eyes. "What does she want with me? I don't get it, all she seems to try to do is kill me. What did I do to her? Why did she take me away from my home? Is this some part of a twisted plot to make my grandfather angry enough to start a war so that Burningstar will believe her? She doesn't need that..." His eyes clouded. "I hate her."

Shadowfire lay under the overhang, back to Flashpaw so he may watch the path they followed. Just in case Foxcloud followed. "You are not the first. She killed her father. Yes, it is all a plot. Her life always one to her. I bet she has all our deaths evenly planned out weather she plans on killing them or not." He paused, glancing back to the apprantice. "You are not the only one to hate her."

Flashpaw gulped. "Well, it's working. Treestar will be so angry, I doubt we'll get out of this without a major war." He paused. "When can I go home? Why will I have to go back to FireClan?"

"Foxcloud has lied to me so many times now, that it is hard to tell when she is finally telling the truth. For you, why would Treestar send an apprentice? I understand you would be smaller, but why not a warrior? If you had been attacked, a warrior would of put up a better fight." Shadowfire paused, glancing back to Flashpaw. "No affence..."

Flashpaw made a grunting noise. "I'm 11 moons, and fully grown. But still, I was injured. Foxcloud attacked our camp, and I was sent out of it, for I was still stiff from multitudes of bat bites. She was being driven off, and she found me, alone, and took me. Like I was a mouse."

Shadowfire listened, ears and eyes still content on the road they traveled. "Alone? No one to protect you?" The warriors pale green eyes flicked to Flashpaw, silent questions like fire dancing in his eyes.
Though his tongue remained still.

"I brought someone to see you," Firemist gestured to Dreampaw.
The little she-cat appeared from her hiding place. She had rolled around in some unknown substance to discuise her scent. It pained her, but anything to see Flashpaw. "Thanks Firemist," she said. Dreampaw turned to Flashpaw. "Hi, I haven't left this territory since Foxcloud kidnapped you."

Flashpaw's heart gave a leap. "Dreampaw!" he whispered, and before he knew it he had stood up and was rushing toward her, thinking of nothing but of her... So many wishes to see her, and here she was!

Shadowfire grinned slightly. It seemed almost to clear what was going on. Though it was Starclan's job, not his, to stop or protect what may be in the future of these two. "Hey, Firemist. See you got away too..." the Fireclan warrior added, glancing at the she-cat

Moonlitice ran through the territory like the whole of DemonClan was after her. She skidded to a stop before the other cats. "Whatever you do, do not go back to camp. I think Foxcloud is gonna kill everyone!"

"Yes, I did," Firemist purred moving to be by the warrior. "I found this little apprentice just hanging around the camp, so I brought her here. I'd have to agree Moonlitice. Foxcloud is always like that though."
Dreampaw spent a long moment just enjoying Flashpaw's company.

Firemist fidgeted. "She always wants to kill me," Firemist said with a sigh. "But she'd have to win first." A smile crept across the she-cat's face. "I didn't do a bad job training you, although Foxcloud would much rather of you be her apprentice then you be mine."
