Brooksplash tucked her plumy gray tail over her paws. Her blue eyes scanned the horizon. "Where is she?" she hissed under her breath, drawing the scents into her nose. "Silverpaw!" she called out. "Hurry up and get your tail over here, I've been sitting here for too long!" Inside, she was just worried. Something had something against WaterClan. Medicine Cats went missing, and cats....

Silverpaw bounded up to Brooksplash and sat down next to her mentor. Silverpaw licked her paw to wash her face, and asked eagerly "What will we be working on today?"

Brooksplash breathed a quiet sigh of relief. "A bit of both. If you do really well, I will put in to Lakeripple that you should be a warrior." That was another thing, Froststar was missing too. What was going on in WaterClan?

Silverpaw's eyes shone with excitement and she kneaded the ground with her paws as she mewed"oh thank you Brooksplash!"Silverpaw couldn't believe that she might become a warrior soon!

Brooksplash was amused by Silverpaw's enthusiasm. The young cat had been an apprentice for a while and their bond had grown strong. "First you must prove yourself. Hunting or fighting first?"

Brooksplash nodded. She flicked her tail at the river. "You have until I get bored to catch as many fish as you can. I will get bored quickly, so this could be a challenge." Her blue eyes glinted with pleasure. "You catch enough, we will eat before moving on." Brooksplash glanced at Silverpaw mischievously. "Ready, GO!"

Silverpaw charged into the water and swiped at a fish, but missed it. She swiped at another one, caught it, and threw it on the riverbank. She then proceded to catch 6 more fish, but in 11 tries.

Silverpaw took one of her fish, sat down, and ate it, while hoping 'I hope I pass! I really want to be a warrior! She waited for Brooksplash to tell her how she did on the assessment.

Silverpaw dodged her mentors attack lithely and pounced at her mentor (claws sheathed, of course) trying to pin her down.

Brooksplash sprang out of the way in a flash, and spun around in the air to land behind Silverpaw.
OOC: Silverpaw can't win that easy... Brooksplash is a good fighter!

Brooksplash whipped around and ducked from Silverpaw's next attack. Then she batted at Silverpaw again, aiming for the head.

Silverpaw ducked her head just in time, so that Brooksplash's claws just skimmed her ears. Then she lunged at Brooksplash again, aiming to nip her mentor's legs in hopes of making her fall over.
