Treestar gazed down upon his fellow Earthclan cats. With a bit of difficulty, the long-haired tom didn't rise to his paws, but only let his voice ring out above the comman chatter of the clan. The cats below turned their heads to their leader, and seemed to question his laing possition. "I believe it is time that a wonderful apprentice becomes a proud warrior. Acornpaw, may I trouble you and ask that you step forward?" Treestar let his amber eyes search the crowed for the young she-cat. They rested on a kit for a moments, sending a silent signal to Howlkit that he would be next.

Howlkit stayed silent as he watched Treestar ask for Acornpaw to come forward. And after Acornpaw became a warrior he would become an apprentice of Earthclan. His eyes gave his feelings away and glowed with excitement. Brown tail swished silently as he saw Treestar's eyes search the crowd. Then his eyes caught Howlkit's yellow eyes and he became still. His paws kneaded the ground in front of him. What a day today would be for him. Nothing could ruin it. Hopefully. Gaze stayed locked on his leader as they waited for Acornpaw. [/color][/blockquote] |

Dewpelt sat near the meeting place, his eyes full of excitement as well. His apprentice Acornpaw was finally going to become a warrior! About time too; it took unusually long for this ceremony, though he didn't know the reason. He also saw Howlkit; probably soon to be Howlpaw, seeing that he just turned 6 moons recently. He was glad that Earthclan was thriving; more kits means more apprentice, and that means a stronger clan. Just looking at Howlkit, he knew that the tomkit had potencial. He smiled to himself; he wouldn't be surprised if Howlkit became a warrior in half the time Acornpaw did.
not that it was acornpaw's fault in anything at all[/i[ he was reminded. but for some reason, despite all their training and her hard work, he ceremony was prosponed till now...

Padding from the medicine cat den Flypaw joined her clan for the ceremony. Sitting back on her haunches she curled her tail over her paws, smiling up at Acornpaw.

Windgale watched quietly. She remembered her own ceremony, and how proud and excited she had been. She wondered what Acornpaw's new name would be? Acornpaw deserved this- she had worked long and hard for it. Windgale turned her attention back on Treestar..

Lotuspetal took a seat next to Dewpelt. "I wonder what Acornpaw's warrior name will be? He should get a good one, something that means something, right?" she asked him. after all, he was Acornpaw's mentor.

Dewpelt smiled proudly, still watching Treestar up front. but then he turned his green gaze onto Lotuspetal. "Yeah, I'm sure that Treestar has something great in mind." he replied with enthusiasm, excited for the ceremony to finally start. Then, before he turned his attenton back up front, he caught the she-cat's beautiful blue eyes. He gazed into them for a while, not seeming to want to break away. Then as more cats started to gather, he turned quickly so that she wouldn't see him blush. "Heh sorry," he meowed, pretending to wash his ears.

Lotuspetal smiled, flashing perfect, embarrased for a moment. He caught her staring at him! Oh no! Heat rushed to her face and she sighed, taking in the forest air. Wait, she thought, wasn't he the one that was staring at me?

At last, it was the final moment of her life. To be honest with herself, she wasn’t even sure if she was ready for this. But no matter what was going to happen, this ceremony was going to happen. Instantly, at this very moment. She hated being in the centre of attention. Always. It wasn’t easy for herself to stand out upon her clan members, and have them cheer on her behalf.
Taking deep breaths, she averted her eyes towards the ground, avoiding all eyes at all costs. Waiting for Treestar’s signal to start, she tried her best to straighten her shoulders.. Whether it was a special moment or the moment of dreadfulness, it was still going to happen.

Yewfrost slipped into the crowd of cats. She was happy to be watching a ceremony again after so much time as a loner. "I wonder if I will get and apprentice someday..." she meowed to Flypaw who was next to her.

Amberpaw looked at the group of cats around her, and then up at Treestar and Acornpaw she felt a little jealous, she still had to get a mentor of her own. Amberpaw took a paw drawing it over her ear listening to the other cats talking.

Acornpaw was now waiting for Treestar's signal. What was taking him so long? THis should have been the most memorable moment of her life but no matter what she thought, it didn't seem that way to her. She wanted this ceremony to be quick and over with. Her paws and how body was getting the jitters. No matter what, all she could do wait patiently for the time to come.

Windgale also wondered what was taking Treestar so long. Hopefully his illness wasn't acting up again... she thought. She could see Acornpaw fidgeting as she waited for Treestar to continue the ceremony and give her her warrior name..

Spottednose waited paintently at the end of the circle for the ceremony to continue. Her eyes and senses suddenly became alert as EarthClan's leader appeared in her mind. Was his illness still severe? Suddenly she became frustrated as she thought of his stubborness. No mater how many times she had told him to rest, he was still dedicating himself towards the clan; keeping Earthclan in tip top shape. She sighed wondering how she was going to convince him. It had to be soon! No delays could happen anymore.

yewfrost glanced around the clearing. Theres Amberpaw! She smiled. it was nice to know that EarthClan appreciated her enough to give her an apprentice. I wonder how Amberpaw will feel during her warrior ceremony she thought.

Amberpaw felt someone looking at her, and turned her gaze to Yewfrost, she stood up and walked over and sat down. Amberpaw smiled and said, 'Hello.' in a polite voice.
