Star ran after the mouse. it was small and scrawny but still food. she grabbed it and sunk her claws into the prey. it tasted good and was soon gone. 'where do i go now???' she thought. 'my parents and brother are dead and those large groups of cats scare me too much' she licked her tail and set out to find somewhere to stay for now......
OOC: anyone can have a cat come..... =^..^=

" h-how do you know my name?" star was scared. who was this? why had he jumped out at her? " why are you even talking to me??" her voice was higher than usual. Star was panicking, and she felt every nerve in her small tabby body felt like it was on fire.

Walker laughed and said, "other cat's talk about you. Don't get scared, it's not bad things. And they aren't stalkers just to let you know. You seemed kind of lonely, but I can go if you want me to." He licked his paws nonchalontly (i think i spelled that wrong) waiting for her reply.

"y-you can stay. i didnt know other cats talked about me..... i dont really talk to many cats. not since....." but Star fell silent, remebering the day that her brother died t the hands of the twolegs. " so why are you talking to me? she wondered why, after such a while, someone was talking to her with out trying to scare her away.

" oh. well i guess you are right, i am without friends or family" she looked at her big white paws. she was embarassed at how she reacted to this new cat. he was very nice. " i have been looking for a place to stay.. and maybe someone to stay with" she looked up hopefully, thinking that maybe he would have a nice, warm den like she had had many moons ago with her brother and father.

"Well," He said slowly, "I'm not part of the High Hills gang, I'm a loner and I travel with my best friend Echo. I'm sure she won't mind you staying with us for a night or two..." The truth was, Echo might get really mad... but those eyes just got to him. It was like a kit pleading you to tell them a bedtime story, something you couldn't resist.

" Oh, i wouldnt ask you to help me if you didnt want to... i just want to find a place on my own. " she looked down at her paws, feeling very embarrassed. " but i could use your help in finding a place thats not already a cats territory." Star looked up hopefully, 'maybe i will get to spend more time with this cat... but what about that Echo cat?' she thought.

Walker suddenly took a step forward so intently that he thought he might've actually scared the cat. "No! I insist really! I hope the way I said it was not a way to get you to go. It certaintly wasn't meant to sound like that..." Her eyes reminded him of his kittypet life, so soft and innocent. He wouldn't mind sleeping in his soft twoleg bed right now. He shook his head, determined not to let kittypet softness get into his mind.
OOC: lol, i'm gonna have walker have a small crush on star, it's ok if she doesn't like him back.

"wow, ive never heard of those." Star wondered at how a thing like that would taste. " and, no all my family is dead, my mother died when me and my brother were born and my father died shortly after. my brother......." she trailed off, looking away. she missed Dust very much. this cat kinda reminded her of him, his calm nature and good looks. 'of course, they dont look anything alike" she thought, remembering Dust's dirty white pelt. "h-he.." she tried to explain, but the words failed her. she had never talked about her family before.
OOC: do you like the "star" picture? its hestia in our christmas tree last year!!!

Walker pressed his nose to Stars cheek, comforting her. "You don't have to talk about it, if you don't want to," he murmured softly. "Come on!" He said suddenly changing the subject. It was getting a little to awkward for him! "I'll go and get echo for you and you guys to can meet."

IC:Walker said, "I'll be right back," and was just about to scamper off when a long haired calico cat bounded into the clearing.
"Hello walker, I was just about to go drop off the prey that me and kiba caught at the den, I thought you would-" Echo stopped when she noticed the other cat standing next to him. He eyes drifted to the strange cat and said embarassed, "Oh hello there...."
"Hi Echo!" greeted Walker, "This is Star! She has no place to go tonight and I was wondering... well... If she could stay with us tonight!" He looked guitily into her strange green eyes.
"Oh..." Echo gritted her teeth together, trying to calm down her anger. How could Walker just take in strangers to our den! It was totally rude to say no when she was standing right there! "I don't see the problem with that..."
"Great!" said Walker excitedly, even though he saw Echo's anger. She did a good job trying to hide it thought, so Star wouldn't notice. Anyways... he wouldn't have to say goodbye to Star just yet...

' well shes a little grouchy' thought Star. " great!" she meowed, hoping that she could stay longer than one night. maybe if Echo wasnt so grumpy... she padded after Walker and his sister. ' i wish that Dust was still around' she thought, remembering her brother. "so where do you live Walker?"

IC: "A badger's nest," replied Walker happily, "Don't worry; it's an old one. Wichever badger lived there, is long gone. Look there it is!" a couple foxlengths away lay the badger's den. It was well hidden and cozy.
"Yeah, there it is," said Echo gloomily and raced ahead, leaving the behind.
"Echo found it," he meowed loudly, hoping that Echo wouldn't stay mad at him forever.
