Treestar nodded to his new deputy, then flicked a ear to Forestfur, "May I suggest taking Forestfur? I'm pretty sure he wants to tear into the fox as much as anyone."

Forestfur looked up. Where had his adrenilen gone? That long streak of energy? But Treestar's obvious displeasure in him had sapped it till it was nothing but tiredness. His own father had lied to his face, it was clear that Forestfur didn't like him, still thought him a thick skulled mouse brain, just like that day in the forest. His father was nothing but a cat, and just like every cat except Sunset and Leaffur, Treestar hated him. Depression was now Forestfur.

Leaffur padded up to Flameclaws. "Congradulations, i'm glad you made deputy." Then she padded over to Forestfur. "I'm sorry you didn't make deputy, maybe next time. You should go with the patrol, just please don't do anything stupid."

"Good luck! All of you come back safely, I don't want to have to grieve for another Clanmate tonight, one is enough." Leaffur watched as the patrol left, then padded over to Treestar. "How has your night been so far, Treestar?" She hadn't spoken to the leader since the conflict between him and Forestfur in the woods.
