Kiba nodded in understanding, not realising Echo had overheard. He turned to face her. "D'ya still wanna go hunting?" he mewed in a friendly tone.

Walker, surprised, turned to Echo. She averted her eyes, looking hurt. "I'm sorry Echo I-"
"Forget it," said Echo, "What's said has been said and we can change it. It doesn't matter anymore. Don't be sorry. And yes Kiba, I'd love to." She nodded her head to Nike. "It was nice to meet. I'm sure i will see you again."
Walker looked down at his paws in shame. He was the worst friend a cat could ask for.

Nike smiled at Echo, "Sure, sure." Then he turned his gaze to Walker and walked over to him. "She's right . . . so dont put yourself down." Nike bent his head down, trying to see Walker's exprestion.

Kiba went to leave with echo until he saw Walkers hung head. It wasn't his fault... at least not really. He wasnt sure wether to stay or leave.

Echo saw walker and padded up to him. "Seriously, it's ok. Really!"
Walker looked up with a smug expression on his face. "I'm sorry."
"Do i have to repeat myself?"
"No. You can go hunting now."
"Do you want to come with us?"
"No i'll stay here."
"Sure?"
"Positive?"
"Yes! Now go!"
"OK," said Echo, laughing. She turned to Kiba. "Shall we?"

Nike snickered but changed his exspretion quickly. He tried not to snicker again when he turned to Walker. "So, Walker, what do you want to do?" Nike stretched his limbs, and padded over to the tree he was in earlier. He sighed, and jumped onto the lowest branch. He turned his lime green eyes on Walker, waiting for him to reply.

"Okay..." said Walker, seeing Nike hesitate. Somehow he felt that he didn't want to spend his life traveling anymore. "Uh, it's only stories that I hear from cats passing by, but I heard of cats living in groups in the forest that are ferocious (?) and live by... by a... a... oh yes! Code?"

Sunset stepped out into the Outskirts. She looked at Nike. "Hello Nike," she mewed. Then she looked at the other cats. "The stories you hear are true, I myself have Clan blood, as I believe Nike here might too, judging by his reaction." She saw that the cats looked surprised by her appearance into their conversation. "Don't be alarmed. I am Sunset. I live in the High Hills... with Nike and some others. By the way Nike, I believe that Bird is looking for you."

Walker jumped at the sudden appearence of this so called Sunset. "I am Walker, I was born a kittypet but ran away with this loner named Echo. She is out hunting with another loner, Kiba. The stories I have heard since kithood are real? There are cats that live in clans? What is it like, in these clans?"

Sunset looked at Walker. "I wouldn't know. I was born a rogue. My mother, Moonrise, lived in the Clans, but her mate, Treestar, wasn't of her Clan. She had three kits, I being the only female, and she was afraid so she ran away. Occasionally my father and brothers visit me, and my mother watches from the stars... she is dead. Sometimes I visit them. I have my own group now, the High Hills Band. I'm perfectly happy with my life the way it is." She glanced quickly at her belly, with a forced smile. Her mind wandered to a black tom with a white dot on his chest, saying, Dark and Light, Yin and Yang, we are one. She looked up at Walker, hoping he hadn't noticed that. She wasn't ready for the world to know.
