The Newbie

Emberfrost noticably stiffened when Graysky sat close to Kurapelt and... flirted with her. His amber eyes narrowed at the other tom, but he kept himself still. there wasn't any reason to be on the offensive for a she-cat who doesn't seem to have any interest in him anyways; other cats would think he was weird. But he couldn't keep himself from being defensive about it, and it was quite hard to hide, with his tail twitching and claws almost digging into the ground. He hoped that Kurapelt wouldn't be wavered by Graysky's sweet words.

Kurapelt's head snapped toward Graysky as he sat closer to her, his words drifting into her ears. Her mouth dropped, had he really just asked that? She was shocked, and then she was angry. She curled her lips back in a snarl and jerked away from him, moving closer to Moonpelt's side, yet again. The fur along her neck raised, it took all her will-power to force it down again. "Who asked you to speck!" She hissed, her claws digging into the ground. She snorted, pushing her anger aside, he was a waste of her time. Turning her attentions to Echostep, Moonpelt and the little kit she had just noticed.

Graysky winced at her remark, but made no comment, instead he continued on. He had a plan in mind and if it worked, well he'd still be a genius and others would be happy. He grinned inwardly as he glanced at Emberfrost, some more then others.
Friends gotta do what a friends gotta do, right?
Turning his gaze back toward the rogues he smiled, "you most tell me, such beauty, it's past should not be hidden" he meowed.

Just as she was about to reply to Kurapelt’s question, Echostep butted in with a question to Kurapelt. “Drop your flattering comments.” Moonpelt replied in a bored voice. “Can’t you see that you’re a pain in the neck right now?” She glared at him, waiting for him to be embarrassed. “Especially to a particular somebody?” Her eyebrows rose up to see what Echostep would react to her a different side of her.

OOC: Ehhh…Moonpelt’s first time showing this side of her.

Echostep blinked, slightly taken aback. The tri-colored warrior watched Moonpelt curiously, but decided not to comment on the she-cat's sudden change in demeanor. Instead, she nodded in agreement and glared at Graysky.

"Moonpelt's right. You're on the path to getting your ears clawed off, Graysky." Echostep meowed, copper eyes narrowing. Minding the kit next to her, the warrior rose to her paws and sniffed, a odd twinkle in her eye as she did.

"I mean, I know I'd certainly want to if some tactless tom-cat swaggered up to me and tried to flirt." The she-cat let that implication hang above their heads for a moment, and then leaned back on her haunches to wink at Kurapelt in one of her rare funny-moments. Jokes or not though, she honestly didn't want to see a fight break out this early in the day.

Emberfrost's ears flickered at Kurapelt's reply, which was a little harsh, but at least she didn't fall for Graysky. But then the frost-white tom noticed the look Graysky gave him. He narrowed his eyes in wonder, then widened when he understood what the tom was up to. No wonder, Emberfrost thought to himself. He knew Graysky enough to know that he wasn't the kind of tom that would chase behind a she-cat and flirt; he must have a plan in mind for something. but what?
In the mean time, this was getting fun, so might as well help his friend out. "Hey ladies don't be so harsh on him." he grinned, licking a paw and running it over his ear.

Moonpelt quickly looked away from Echostep and turned her gaze towards Emberfrost. She was unaware of what scheme either Echostep was up too or just both toms. "Hardy har har" (lol) she replied, feeling herself get frustrated. "I guess you're refering that to yourself too I suppose?" eyes flaring with fire as she felt herself burn into him. (whooo)

Ah well, Echostep sighed inwardly as her sarcasm was lost, that's what I for being such a stick-in-the-mud any other time.

Leaning back to sit again, the she cat drew her tongue around the blond fur near her mouth, watching Graysky and Emberfrost wearily. Whatever the two toms were up to, she didn't know, but it was putting everyone else on-edge. Her dark eyes half closed, she sucked in a deep breath. I sure hope I don't need to break up a fight... StarClan, help me.

"Of course I'm refering to myself too," Emberfrost laughed. "no, i'm just joking, calm down Moonpelt. What's gotten into your fur?" he meowed in good-humour, noticing that Echostep looked on edge. He lay down on his belly, his eyes half closed. he hoped that a relaxing gesture would calm Moonpelt and Kurapelt down. He glanced at both Graysky and Kurapelt again though, still wondering what the grey tom had in mind, and wondered why the newcomer was so harsh to toms. There sure was a mystery there.

OOC: Omg. Writing quite long posts today. Woot! Not sure how long this would last though.

Moonpelt turned her head away from Emberfrost and sighed. He wouldn't understand it. Neither would Graysky. Didn't they both know that they were like itching powder? (hm...) And didn't Emberfrost know that it was not herself who had gotten onto other's furs but himself? For some odd reason, she wanted to be away from both of them as soon as she could. "Tom are just toms," she muttered to herself. "They never get it do they?" She glanced over at Kurapelt to see what she was thinking or what her reaction would be. She didn't know what Kurapelt wanted to do, so she asked, "Have anything you want to do right now?"

OOC: lol it seems it ends now, for i have writers block....lol

IC: Kurapelt turned to Moonpelt with wide eyes, "yeah, I want to get away from these toms thats what" she meowed to her friend.Her ears flickered annoyingly as she glanced over at the two toms.

Graysky grinned at the she-cats and at Emberfrost, he to swiped his tongue over his paw. "Come now girls, why so cranky?" he meowed playfully.

Emberfrost seemed to be encouraged by this new playfulness in Graysky. "Precicely," he agreed to his friend's comment. "If you never tell us what we're not 'getting', then we'll never 'get it', would we?" he grinned, his fang showing jokingly. "It's a nice day, the birds are chirping; what could be getting into you two?"

Echostep pricked her ears, ignoring the two toms' statements (she privately thought that Moonpelt had a point; some cats just didn't know when to give it up) for a moment to glance at Moonpelt and Kurapelt.

"Hey, we could go on a patrol," the brown warrior suggested, answering both of the she-cats' earlier questions. "You know, show Kurapelt around the territory."


OOC: Would anyone be interested in meeting with a FireClan patrol?

OOC:Not really. Hey I plan to get one too. Could you give me the site for it?

ICC: "What reasons would you think it's to be?" Moonpelt questioned to Graysky, wonderings how could he NOT know. Wasn't it simple enough? Or were toms just toms? Eyes flickering to Kurapelt, she was grateful that Kurapelt wanted to be away from them. She too wasn't in the mood to talk to the toms. She purred at Echostep's offer and enthusiastically replied, "That would be great wouldn't it? Coming too Kurapelt?"

Kurapelt lost her annoyed gaze and she swung her head toward the two other she-cats, "what really, show me around!? that would be awesome! Can we go now?" she asked excitingly as she hopped to her paws, kneading the ground as she glanced over at the camp entrance. She wanted to fly out of here and look around, it was amazing, it was as if they were already accepting her! She purred with delight, she couldn't wait to see everything.

Graysky opened his mouth to answer Moonpelt but closed it and shrugged, deciding to answer Ecostep instead, "I'd go with but I have other duties to attend to, I do hope you all have a nice time though" he meowed before he bowed his head low and left them. But he glanced back with a smirk, 'I have duties alright.'

OOC: Yeah, I think that the Rolling Hills is close to FireClan's Sunning Stones... How about we go there and meet the Dawn Patrol on the SkyClan side of the Sunning Stones?

IC: Echostep purred at Kurapelt, her tail twitching in amusement. "Sure, if Moonpelt's ready." Half questioningly, half warily, the warrior glanced at Emberfrost. Would he want to go too?
