(5) Colors?: Um...there are a lot of colors, AND patterns...because each parent carries 2 color genes, 2 pattern genes, and 2 on/off switches for spotting. Each parent then gives 1 each of these to it's offspring. So...um...black & white, white, black, gray, brown...etc.
