In the thicket of the forest of LightningClan, Goldeneye crouched low on the ground. His eyes flashed as a mouse darted by. Without hesitation, he dashed out with his claws unsheathed, and went for the chase.
Suddenly, stopping at the last second, Goldeneye stared unbelievingly as the mouse fell down the giant hole in the middle of the ground and died from the fall with a small squeak. His bright golden eye flashed as he calmed down and carefully looked down at the dead mouse.
That could've been me! He thought with a shudder.
The dark tom looked around the trees with wonder. He rarely visited this part of the territory before...

Sunstorm padded through the tall golden stalks of grass. His blue eyes lit up as he saw his Clanmate.
"Goldeneye! What are you doing out here?" He meowed, happy to find company. The sun flashed off the tom's golden pelt as he padded to his Clanmate's side and looked at the hole Goldeneye had found.
"Yikes! That's a big hole," Sunstorm remarked. "I don't think it was here before..." The tom added, looking thoughfully into it's depths. "Maybe there's something down there!"

"Who knows," said Sunwhisker, suddenly appearing behind them, "No cat has ever been down there. Except for the one cat many moons ago. What was his name? Oh yes, Birdtail! He fell down there and never came back!"

Sunstorm looked at Sunwhisker, who had appeared out of nowhere. "Where'd you come from? Er, nevermind. Was there really a cat named Birdtail who fell down it?" He asked.

"Ohhh..." Sunstorm sighed in relief. He gently swatted Sunwhisker." A kit's story. Haha! I remember that now! Yeah, I used to be a wild and unruly kit, let me tell you. My mother resorted to telling me kit's tales like that to get me to sleep. Needless to say, like you, I was asleep and snoring w? Waithin seconds! So what are you doing out here, Sunwhisker?" He asked. If he listened carefully he could hear some eerie moaning. He shook his head. His imagination liked to run away with him..

"Oh, my duties were finished, and I decided to do a little extra hunting," She replied. "I wonder if a cat named birdtail really did fall down there." She peered down into the hole searching for anything but saw nothing. "What do you think Sunstorm?"

Sunwhisker, usually serious and not ready to fool around decided, why not? and said, "Sure!" and winked. She peered over the hole and dangled her paws on the inside of it. Feeling a sharp pain, she snapped her arms back and meowed, "Sunstorm, there's thorns inside of it!"

Sunwhisker laughed and said, "I'm ok, it's not that bad!" She bit the thorn stuck in her paw and spit it out, "See all better!" She gave him a smile and looked over that edge of the hole again. "I don't know about you, but that is REALLY strange."

Sunwhisker yowled when Sunstorm jumped into the hole. "Mouse brain!" she cursed and looked over the edge. "You can be killed doing that! Are you ok? Are you hurt?" It waz pitch black down there; she couldn't see a thing!

"Yeah!" Sunstorm's voice called out from the inky darkness. "I'm okay, I found a place that didn't have thorns!" He had to shout to make himself heard. "Um..It's really dark down here. Hey, hang on a sec, I think there's something ahead..." He padded forward very carefully, stretching out with a paw before setting it down, making sure there was stable and thornless ground for him to step on. "This is really wierd!" He called back up. "I think I've found a tunnel!"

"What?" called Sunwhisker, surprised, "Hold on, I'm coming down!" Taking a deep breath, she pushed off with her frontpaws and took a flying leap down the hole make sure that she didn't touch the walls of the hole. She felt her paws touch soft ground and stood still for a moment, letting her eyes adjust to the darkness. "Sunstorm, where are you?" she asked quietly, and took a step forward, bumping into him. "Sorry!"she flushed, embarassed. "So... where was that tunnel you were talking about. It better get us out of here!"

"Here," he meowed, flicking his tail towards Sunwhisker. "Take my tail, that way, we'll stay together and get through okay. The tunnel is.. this way/" He groped around in the darkness until he found, with relief, the tunnel. "You ready? I hope nothing dangerous is down there.." He meowed, shivering slightly..

"I blame you if something goes wrong," she joked, but she was actually serious about it. She felt his pelt brush by her and tried followed him. The walls of the tunnel wer enclosed around her slim body. She itched to go forward, but she let Sunstorm lead seeing as if he was fit to fight off anything bad. Of course, she would fight too. She heard something move in the distance. "Did you here that?" she meowed, her voice set on a worried tone, "I don't like it here." A chill ran down her spine.
OOC: OMG IT'S THE SPIRIT OF BIRDTAIL! haha, it would be so funny if it was!

Sunstorm stopped abruptly. "Hear what?" His ears flicked back and forth, trying to find the sound Sunwhisker had heard. "I don't hear anything.." He murmured, padding forward slowly, a chill running down his spine as well. He was beginning to regret letting his curiousity take him down here. He hoped nothing bad happened.. He'd feel responsible if Sunwhisker got hurt..
