"Beatya!" Emberfrost laughed and stopped right in front of the giant lake reflecting the setting sun. He had a good run; he felt free, and actually not lonely being with Starlight... usually he'll welcome being alone; but he felt...different today.

"Nyahh." Starlight stuck out her tongue at Emberfrost, then caught her breath at the sight before her. "I've never seen the lake at sunset before." She gasped, "IT's sooo... pretty..."

Emberfrost nodded and his gaze strayed in Starlight for a heartbeat too much before he quickly turned his eyes back to the lake. The sun was setting fast...and soon silverpelt shone with brightness that was more beautiful than any cat could imagine.
However, it didn't seem to shine as brightly as Starlight's eyes... or the way Emberfrost felt about her in his heart now...

Starlight placed her head on Emberfrost's shoulder as she looked up into the silverpelt. "You know, you're nicer than anybody has been to me for a long time." She sighed. "Thank you..." She whispered as she closed her emerald eyes.

Emberfrost looked surprise, then turned his head so Starlight wouldn't see his blush if she looked at him...
"No prob" he purred and closed his eyes too, not moving away for once from another cat... He LIKED the company now... the time he's sharing together with Starlight made him feel so warm...and... happy.

"I'm sorry,"Starlight purred, "I shouldn't have done that, I do it all the time. I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable." She smiled at Emberfrost, showing how happy she really was.

Emberfrost managed to smile back, looking Starlight straight in the eyes. "No, I'm fine... Um... Actually I really...really..."
He blushed then looked away. "Never mind" he mewed and stood up as a soft cool breeze ruffled his fur. By this time the sun was already down and Silverpelt shone overhead; the moon was high.
"Do you want to go back to camp?" Emberfrost asked, twitching his tail. He had no idea how to act in front of her... he's usually icy around others, but to her he can't...

"Sure.." Starlight said with one last look back at the Lake of Stars, " We should come back more. I like spending time with you. You all quiet and stuff and me blabbering." She smiled and raced ahead of Emberforst. "See if you can catch me!!" She laughed, laughter sounding like a song.

Emberfrost grinned and took off after Starlight, racing ahead of her once again with his leathe, sleek body close to the ground. "Beatya again!" He mewed as both cats raced to camp; Emberfrost dropped his pace so he was side by side with Starlight, their pelts barely brushing.
