Snowstep sat by the camp entrance waiting for Moonpaw. she was sure that if her apprentice was ready for training, she'll get up on time and be here.
Same as what HER own mentor did.
She sat there patiently and quietly as the sun rose up from the mountains and shone through the light clouds clinging over the skies that are still dark.
Her ears flickered as prey scuffled around in the brambles, but she didn't mind. although she didn't eat yet, she herself was too eager to mentor than eating.
she was going to show moonpaw the territory, like all mentors did first. she decided to start from the rolling hills, and move from the waterclan borders to the fireclan border. it'll probably take the whole day.

Moonpaw crawled out of her den tiredly. Although this was earlier than the usual time she had always woke up, she suddenly felt a blast of energy going around her body as she remembers her mentoring. As quickly as possible, Moonpaw bounce all the way to the camp entrance so Snowstep wouldn't have to wait that long. I hope i'm not late she whispers to herself. As she walks halfway, she sees the beautiful sunset with dreamy eyes. Suddenly, a pang of guilt ran across her, I have to hurry up! Running, she finally sees Snowstep and calls out "I'm here Snowstep."

Snowstep beamed at Moonpaw for not making her wait until sunhigh!
"Hey moonpaw! glad u didn't sleep in late!" she smiled. "common, we're going to tour the territory that you will soon know by heart" she purred and motioned for Moonpaw to follow her as she slowly padded more deep into the rolling hills, towards waterclan borders.

As Moonpaw hears the praise from Snowstep, she feels proud of herself. The first day of training and I get a praise. YAY!!!!!!!! Curious with SkyClan's territory, she follows Snowstep. Watching everything as she goes by, she sees things that never seen before. Tripping over a rock, she quickly gets up without getting hurt. I have to watch my step now. Stop looking at the scenary and pay attention, she scold herself.

"Here's the border of WaterClan" Snowstep stopped in front of a strong scenting place. "You must remember to never cross the border to any clan" she instructed. Snowstep gave Moonpaw a lick like she was still a kit, "Which i'm sure u won't" she smiled and went on.
"The Rolling Hills consists of mostly rabbits, so u'll learn to be very fast to catch prey here." She mewed. "Good thing SkyClan is split with flat grassy lands and also forests, so prey is plenty" she purred. "Sniff the air and remember the scent as WaterClan" she told Moonpaw before moving away from the borders. "You'll need to learn all the scents of the clans soon"

Listening very carefully to her mentor, she felt as if her brain was stuffed with too much knowledge. I hope I won't forget them. Forgetting that she would hunt as well in her training, she felt another blast of energy blowing in through her body. Taking a deep breath, she could smell the WaterClan scent. wow! It sure is different from ours, Moonpaw thought! She could also smell the beautiful trees and flowers as if it was pure honey coming out of a bee's hive. Trying to keep her pace with Snowstep, she was afraid that she would be lost in the big wilderness.

"Smell it?" Snowstep purred and got up. "Ok, now to see the rest of our territory, k? We'll have to learn hunting and fighting tomorrow, it's already sun-high. Ok, let's go"
They made their way from the waterclan borders, and worked their way up towards the Giant Oak, staying close in SkyClan territory.
"All this place, u see all the grasses and flat grounds?, is called the Rolling Hills. We're getting close to the Giant Oak, which is where all the clans meet on a full moon to talk about news. All cats are at peace at this time at this place. Now that you're an apprentice, maybe Wolfstar will pick you to come next time."
Snowstep purred and stopped to look up at the giant tree.

Moonpaw nodded her head. This sure is a big territory! "Really?" Moonpaw squealed. "Can I really go? wow!" Looking up at Snowstep, she could see her gazing up at the Giant Oak. Following her, she gazed up at the Giant Oak too. wow! it sure is magnificent. "Does this mean, I can see other clan cats? can I talk to them then?"

Snowstep nodded with a smile before heading towards the fireclan territory. they passed more of the grassy lands, and came upon another strong scented place.
"We're at the borders between fireclan. see if u can distinguish their scent from waterclan and our own"

Now I can make new friends! Hurrying to catch up with her mentor, she could scent in a different scent. Way different from SkyClan and EarthClan "Wow! This is way different! I didn't know that cats have different ones."

"Yes, all cats do actually. During training, you will be able to make out all the scents of different cats, including each individual one in our clan. When you become a warrior i expect you to be able to know all the cats by scent." Snowstep smiled down on Moonpaw. "But I'm sure you'll do fine, and be a great warrior soon."

Snowstep smiled proudly at her eager apprentice. "let's go see the lake. I heard every clan has one, but ours is called the Lake of Stars. Come along" she purred and led the way up the hills, away from the giant oak.

Moonpaw bounced eagerly. "Double wow! Is it that big, for each clan to have one?" Following Snowstep up the hill, she could almost see the lake ahead of her.

"each clan has a different lake in each of their territories, but all are connected with the rivers. We are like one big clan" Snowstep purred as they came to the shining, smooth lake.

Snowstep nodded "there are many fish in this lake, and it's not deep unless u step near the center of it. i've heard that some other lakes don't have any fish at all, which is a waste. ok moonpaw, lets go back to camp" she mewed, looking up at the sky.
it was getting dark as the sun setted behind the distant mountains. the stars of silverpelt shone out and reflected in the lake, making it look like there were uncountable stars in the lake itself.
"u'll need to wake up early tomorrow, for u're going to learn how to hunt properly"

"Does that mean that we could fish here too?" Moonpaw asked with curiosity. Knowing that her training session she felt a bit down. "That's soo fast. Oh well, I still have a trainig session tomorrow. Following Snowstep, down the hill, a gust of wind blew down on her fur. "That was very fast though." she whispers.

They soon came back to camp, and the sky was already dark and full of bright stars.
"sleep well, moonpaw. see u tomorrow morning at dawn" Snowstep mewed and nodded before entering the warriors den. she quickly fell asleep, even though she didnt eat yet. she had a tiring day and tomorrow was another one. she hoped she'll do better as a mentor though.

OOC: no...what do you mean doing better? you're already good enough...let's give snowstep a round of applause. Oh yeah, do we have to post a new thread?
IC: Moonpaw was exhausted, her whole body was really tired. Too tired to tell her mother about her day, she fell to sleep instantly. I hope that time will go faster she said to herself and feel asleep.
